LuxSpes Posted March 3, 2016 Share Posted March 3, 2016 (edited) The games villains are just as transparent as Validar like by the time our heroes find out they're evil you're all like "NO FUCKING SHIT, THEY'E EVIL" it's more prominent in Conquest though I think that one of the things that hurt Conquest's story the most are the segments where Garon and/or Iago are plotting. Having Garon laugh like a maniac and then say to Iago that they need to make Corrin suffer but not kill them yet in one of the first chapter of Conquest was pretty meh. Not having these segments would have least allowed some people to see him as a ruthless conqueror, but from the start, he's a mustache twirling villain. Especially when said archer is the King of OverhypedTM. Hell, Shinon was the closest an archer got to breaking the game he showed up in, but even he couldn't do it.
