Because you're nearing the end of the thing you found really annoying

Alright! The ZZ has enough EN for the MAP High Mega Cannon, with Judau at max morale and using the Soul seishin. Then, had the Daunt seishin used on the Frost brothers, which combined with some uses of the Hope seishin for more Daunt usage, I could remove 20 morale to each brother, leaving them just below 100. Here goes nothing...

Okay... GREAT, I can wipe them out at the same time...! Now, if only I could actually HIT them at the same time instead of one or both dodging... good thing soft resets alter the RNG...

HAHAHAHAHA, finally, the RNG let me beat them both! Got the skill point!

So, regardless of what is done with the Frost Brothers (if either or both is defeated, they'll just respawn on the map), they'll resort to use their trump card to take down the Ra Cairam: a nuclear missile! But just when it seems no one can stop it... enter Egret! And Egret. And Egret. Yeah, the party is confused as well. Other than the hair colors, there's now tripplets here. They then use nanomachines to dissolve the missile, more shocking (and Diana being reminded of the Moonlight Butterfly). At this, the Frost Brothers will flee the scene, alongside any other enemy still alive (in my case, just the one Almeyer left).

Well, on to business, the Egrets go. They want an answer to Magus's help request against the Dinosaur Empire. The party is willing to comply, but think they need to deal with the likes of Gynaham, Kashim, and the Frost Brothers first. To say the Egrets are unsatisfied with the answer is... understatement, judging for how crazed one of them acts. Apparently, they don't take this for an acceptable answer, deeming humans as being the same despite the mistakes they make time and again, and decide to wipe out the party right here and now!

A fight would've ensued... for not a Dran suddenly flying out of the Ra Cairam (I know I bought a Dran last intermission, but I think this one shows up even if I hadn't), piloted by Arthur. The operation was a success, but it had the effect of transfering the invasive personality from Elche into Arthur. As he suspected, it was a copy of Kashim's. There's not much time before he succumbs to it, but before that can happen... he kamikazes into one of the Egrets. This prompts them to leave, in order to wait out the damage to heal.

With no more enemies nearby, the heroes have time to mourn Arthur's death. But other pressing matters have come up, such that Magus has now declaring them her enemies, the Earth Craddle, and Gwen's betrayal. But on the flip side, Diana is able to restore the faith of the Soleil's crew on her, and are willing to join her in stopping Gynaham. This translates to getting the final playable battleship, the Soleil. It has an I-Field, though not much in weapon variety. The highest base HP of the battleships. Diana is the pilot, with Milan as sub-pilot. Overall, I've seen people consider it the best battleship of the game. But well, I'll stick with the Ra Cairam to the very end, barring scenarios that allow me to deploy more than one. As a side note, Poe also joins as a pilot, in a regular gray SUMO.

One last scene, the Egrets (now identified as Uruz, Anzus, and Thurizas) are reporting to Magus. Now she's fully convinced that if they want to eliminate the Dinosaur Empire, they must now personally act, and the Irregulars too must be wiped out. As the preparations are being done, she orders Zengar to eliminate the Irregulars. He seems to hesitate slightly, which does not escape Magus's attention, thinking that contact with them is starting to subvert his conditioning. Hmm...

And that's it for Scenario 37. Just 8 chapters left! And enough for today.

Hmm, looking back, I probably should've seen that coming. The Frost Brothers always show up together (I don't even remember if they have only shown one to fight in a previous stage), defeating them at the same time had to have been something to do, either as objective or skill point. It makes me thankful that weapon upgrades are universal, since MAP weapons aren't the sort of stuff I'd focus to upgrade. And thus, the skill point would've been unobtainable...
