I do have The Final Fantasy Legend uncompleted on my phone People say a lot of bad things about FF8 (same about FF13). I really liked FF12, it reminded me in some ways of xenoblade. FF6 is loved by most, being constantly voted the best FF. For me, the first half of it is spectacular, but it gets a bit worse in the second half. My brother loves FF8 to bits, to the point where he demanded that everyone who had him in their contact list named him Squall. It'll come out for the Ps4 as far as I know.
