It's pretty clear he's really stronk and yeah nasir wins games by standing around and then when everyone is dead hes impossible to kill and doubles you. Espinosa Posted March 11, 2014 Author Share Posted March 11, 2014 (edited) Some of the matches won with Nasir on the team were won without ever using Nasir though, or using him very little, not requiring Nasir to crash the opponent regardless. Demi Banded Nasir is pretty terrible even with lots of Speedwings, honestly, but if everyone is weakened, the game can go on forever, which is the problem I was pointing at. You can fight Nasir pretty easily, but Nasirs can't fight each other at all. I'm sure a complete end-all dragon ban isn't the only way to resolve the problem, but nobody seems to like dragons, so it's the immediate way at least. General Horace Posted March 11, 2014 Share Posted March 11, 2014 his existance on the team is a big deal though since it more or less forces you to attack other units unless you have nihil (in which case you take more damage than Nasir recieves) or Nasir procs Adept or has vantage/guard or something and you don't even get to attacked or get ko'd or something silly. Espinosa Posted March 12, 2014 Author Share Posted March 12, 2014 Yeah, as a rule you don't touch Nasir until he's demi'd and/or until everyone is gone or is best not touched, besides the earlygame situations where you for some reason feel like whacking untransformed Nasir instead of dealing with stuff like Snipers, Largo and Boyd. But it's easier to resist Nasir's attack with a Laguzguard, especially if he's demi'd. Still, 40 SP for skills, huge bulk and potentially riduculous speed make dragons such a chore even when they're not the only ones left standing. Ban him and you weaken the ideal itself (something I support) Enforcing the Weakening of him still builds skill centralization around Nihil, which thus makes it a stat war with virtually no customization except in the units used, which are already the same 10 or so. Getting around Guard hax necessitates a Nihil user of your own (Calill either tinks or gets doubled by 41 attack). I don't think Ena is quite as bad as Nasir is; she loses in strength, skill and speed and lacks innate Nihil. I guess Renewal with her defenses is kinda annoying, but that's still one less Nihil for the team. Plus she can't proc skills as reliably as Nasir does. Remember the odds of both hits connecting is the same as both of them missing. But I guess a true Horace fangirl would overlook these points, no?
