General Horace
TURN ITS A MYSTERY TO EVERYONE VS Nephenee has mercy on Rolf and finishes him off with her lance... Yaranaika? Nephenee's NIHIL activates! 21 damage, 83% hit, 0% crit (99, 62) I think that's the first 99 i've ever rolled... ANYWAY Rolf dies and it's PKL's turn. dondon151
i know i already posted this for pkl, but posting for the sake of others curious too. i'm actually going to say that the way in which provoke + parity is currently handled is incorrect (yeah, what can be incorrect about an already fictitious mechanic?). the problem here is that provoke and shade never actually activate. so the real way to handle things is that at the beginning of the match, there should be no notification about provoke or shade activations, since players aren't supposed to know their opponents' skills ahead of time and the skills never activate. on turn 1, if one player chooses to attack an opponent and that action would be forbidden by provoke/shade, then the host should notify the player that the attack is forbidden and prompt the player to choose another target. that is the proper way to handle this fictitious mechanic that should not even exist in the first place. Elieson
on turn 1, if one player chooses to attack an opponent and that action would be forbidden by provoke/shade, then the host should notify the player that the attack is forbidden and prompt the player to choose another target. that is the proper way to handle this fictitious mechanic that should not even exist in the first place. So...if I suspect that someone has Provoke, or doesn't have Shade, then I should just arbitarily attack other units, finding out that "oh hey I can attack G, must mean that G has Provoke, since I couldn't attack X, Y or Z"? Shin
Well, you just need to pick the unit you want to attack. If it's valid, the attack goes through, if it's not, you have to pick another move. There's no point attacking someone just to see if someone else's Shade/Provoke works, you pick to attack them because they're your best target. General Horace
I just remembered that Parity cancels out Rolf's brother bonds on the earlier attack, so he should have had 10% crit on Ike instead of 30%. PKL
You really thought he had a bow? I figured he knew I had Boyd and Rolf with Bows and Geoffrey has Lance+Bow. I was thinking that since Geoffrey is the weakest link, maybe he thought I would go for him with Rolf early on and have a bow/wishblade to counter me. I was wrong and overpredicting.
