Fateborn
I want to code it so a character enters the map then leaves the map, (Like that FE6 map where Gale and Miledy appears on the map together and discuss about the Princess, then leave the map.) There weren't anything on that in Arch's event for dummy thread. Unless I'm extremely thick and missed it. CT075
it's fairly self-explanatory literally just spawn them, walk them to the edge of the map and DISA them
Fateborn
Ah. DISA isn't included in Arch's dummy tutorial. Thanks!
Siuloir
Ah. DISA isn't included in Arch's dummy tutorial. Thanks! It is actually. It's in his youtube vids, at least. Edited June 6, 2014 by Siuloir
Primefusion
Event Assembler Language.txt is a goldmine of information on event commands. Even if commands aren't covered in a tutorial, that text document covers them.
Aleph
Why just walk them to the edge though? You should be able to walk them right off the map entirely I'd think. Would look better if you could.
CT075
iirc it crashes if you try to move units offscreen
Aleph
Is it a pathfinding issue? fix it to think the out of bounds tiles have proper movement costs
Alfred Kamon
iirc it crashes if you try to move units offscreen Hm, actually it doesn't. It only crashes if you try to move an unit that is *already* offscreen. Hah, I usually don't move them to negative coordinates outside the map, by the way. I suppose it also crashes if you do that. Agro
Yeah, it crashes when trying to move to negative coordinates; I'm fairly certain moving them offscreen down or to the right is not an issue.
Aleph
Make all your maps one tile wider in each direction with the extra tiles impassible, then change the camera to only scroll within the inner area. Simple :D
