Rxmonste
You said it yourself. The game hates you, what have you done to deserve this? No, seriously. Don't risk attacking an enemy up close if they have critical hit rate above 0% it's too risky. At least have a unit that can either tank it, evade it or attack from a distance they can't even hit you from. lonelyVoxel
But OBVIOUSLY if a crit rate is under 80% it won't happen!

lonelyVoxel
How were you using Virion? And why? Serious; Because I like weapon diversity in my army. I'm planning to convert someone to an Archer sometime down the line. Because he's frigging fabulous.
Delphi Sage
Because I like weapon diversity in my army. I'm planning to convert someone to an Archer sometime down the line. You only have limited uses of A-rank weapons, and they're completely irreplaceable. Eventually you're just gonna stick to making everyone into Sorcerers and Dark Fliers. Since Archers are REALLY screwed over in this game, a little in skill distribution and especially when the only thing they have that's worthwhile - Longbows - is only so because they're class-locked, there's no reason to ever use them. I'm an antiquated Emblemier. I'll see how it goes, but let it be known I get really bad when it comes to metagames in general.

I knew he was being sarcastic, I just wanted to point out that in this game, somethings as ridiculous as 1% crits can and will happen. That actually happened to me once and I laughed my ass off. Something that happened on my Irl GBA was Ephraim critting EVERYTHING in the final chapter, only having at most a 10% chance Iirc, including Formotiis to death with a 1% crit. Czar_Yoshi
I'm pretty sure he's being sarcastic. I don't think 80% crits are even possible in this game. I've gotten up to 178 and think it might be possible to go even higher. Never doubt what it's possible to achieve in this game when you have one goal alone. Anyway, you shouldn't be getting critted period by immobile bosses (both Pro and Par.1's bosses are indeed immobile) because you can surround your lead with enough support units to get a +Dge bonus, negating enemy Gamble. saifors
Similar thing happened to me but it wasn't the boost but the closest mook to you, and it happened twice, once with Chrom and once with Robin. It's the reason I consider hard mode and up RNG-bullshit.
