Abstinence laughed, swiftly dodging a few incoming children. "I think that would something they would all like to see. They're due to sleep in half an hour or so, but I suppose I can make a small exception for a special occasion like this." As the children marvelled at the flying horse, Abstinence took a step back, smiling as he watched them. "It's truly wonderful to see the children so happy, especially after all they've been through." Abstinence remarked, his arms folded across his chest. "I have you all to thank for saving them from such a horrendous cult... heavens know what would have become of them." After a good quarter of the hour, Abstinence gathered the children around Risa and Thea. "I'm afraid it's getting rather late, but thank you so much for letting them see a pegasus." Abstinence said whilst bowing his head. "It's not much but we would all like you to have this... my brother acquired it from somewhere but I think you'd put it to better use... I only wish he would find more honest ways of finding donations." Waving their goodbyes, Abstinence and the children began to walk back to the orphanage, leaving Risa and Thea with a parting present. Risa and Thea obtain a Goddess Icon! Long term book loan Kassem's visit to the library was one with an ulterior motive, acquiring a book for himself. Shin Posted May 2, 2015 Author Share Posted May 2, 2015 He's a jerk Jason's usually attitude meant very few were willing to approach him. However, he had the sinking feeling that somebody had been keeping an eye on him throughout the evening, although that could have been just paranoia. This section took forever The night came and went quickly and, fortunately, Kassem had not been murdered in his sleep. Their objectives clear, the group set out in the early morning, ready for the two week long journey across the country. Leaving the capital behind them once more, the eerie feeling that all was not right remained... if they cared that it. They had met a good number of familiar faces, as well as several new ones, many they would be likely to cross paths with again. After a few days of travelling, nothing much had occured. No news, no skirmishes, simply moving forwards. That was until they ran across a rather peculiar battlefield. Bandits on one side, closing in on a village... with the undead opposite? What madness had occured? Surely the village couldn't be so unlucky as to face attack from two groups? It wasn't exactly on the way, but it was just about in Grado's territory, right? Chapter 10: Double Dilemma Objective: Rout or satiate all enemies Spawn on Red or Blue! The whole group must be in one zone! With a sigh of relief, Alex guided her mule back to join the others. No doubt they'd need her by that point, so worrying further about her wounds could wait. "'Ey Fred! AnonymousSpeed Posted July 11, 2015 Share Posted July 11, 2015 (edited) For the majority of the skirmish, Kassem had been running away from enemies and persuading others to go kill enemies, which still didn't save him from taking a hit from a merc. If that wasn't panic inducing enough for the coward, Feran arrived. Kassem had attempted to keep what cool he had and continue with what he was doing, hoping Feran hadn't noticed him. This plan didn't last long, as the thief caved in and darted off while the man he so feared was surrounded by lancers. He'd moved back a little when Feran first appeared, but now he was going for a plain escape. Besides, away from Feran was Alex, and that meant healing staves. Kassem flees in terror to (22, 10) and refreshes Alex "Huff...Hey!" Kassem called out, running over to Alex. A moment later he stopped by the mule rider, panting and clutching his side. "Alex...I uh...took a hit back there," the thief huffed, revealing the wound. "Could ya use a staff for me...please?"
