Silly fool. Nothing in this or any other world or universe is more beautiful then the radiant radiance of Oliver, champion of Beauty.

In all seriousness, I don't expect this hack to be...particularly ground-breaking or super awesome (I mean it was only made in one day) but I'd imagine that, for what it tries to be - a simple attempt to have fun - it shouldn't be bad.

One Day Hack: Episode 2: Level 2: Part 1: Assassin Arena

So, here we are on the map used in Link Arena, with cheering noises playing in the background. The cheering doesn't stop until you reset the game, even if you complete the chapter.

Hood guy: Nothing like your face.

His portrait is pretty terrible.

Hair guy: At least you can see my face, Tekun.

Tekun: Tekun? The name’s Shen.

Hair guy: Oh, alright, Tekun.

Shen: …….

Hair guy: Gah, another one?

Makes sense.

(Stop showing your age, hack!)

Shen: I mean, just looking at your portrait makes me want to remove my mask and puke all over the arena.

Hair guy: Tekun, how could you? My hair is so cool!

Shen: …. Sigh… Well, at least you’re the only thing going wrong with today so far.

So... tons of enemies, and it's just Arim here!

Blazer the commander is missing, and we somehow still have two units...?

The visible one is Arim, who may or may not be based off a real member.

So, the enemies are now eyepatch-guys, with good stats, AND they have A-supports with each other! How did they get them...?

Our boss once again doesn't look that tough, but I don't think we can just walk up and off him.

Oh wow, Shen really DID hide in the Unit list!

I hope he decides to emerge from the Unit list, since he's better than the other guy in every way!

NEXT TIME: I beat up a bunch of Creeps! Also, a highly suggestive support scene!

One Day Hack: Episode 2: Level 2: Part 2: Creepy Creeps

Okay, I think the best thing for Arim to start doing is hiding in a corner!

He's better than the creeps... barely.

And then Shen appears!

As I said, he's better in every way, and uses his own special animation which is very similar to Kelik's in TLP.

Oh, and he has Canto!

You can NOT defeat Shen!

Suddenly, two more creeps run out!

And they seem to be, uh...

...You know what? Maybe I'll just let the dialogue speak for itself.

And that was the story of how the creeps became creepy.

They do indeed have A supports, but since they use the standard weird enemy affinity, I'm not sure exactly what it's doing.

Shen: I think you need to go in there more than anyone, Blazer. Your hacking hiatus has got your skills rusty, you’re no match for your own final boss.

Putting that aside, this map really IS just one long hallway with some shops and stuff to the side. It's not THAT bad, but I've had too many bloated maps lately...

Today we fight U MAD SON, who doesn't seem to care about the Cavalier strength cap or weapon rank caps, AND has the Uberspear! I thought that gave a luck boost, but I guess not!

I make the strong guy walk towards him, while making the other two head for the arena and shops!

Meh.

THIS I can get behind, but the only gear here we don't have already is the Killer Axe.

Let's see how Arena grinding works out!

FINAL THOUGHTS:

This hack was actually kind of fun to play. The dialogue wasn't about to implode on itself due to its own crappiness, and the gameplay sucked but didn't try to stretch itself out TOO much. Adding the arena grinding/RNG abuse choice at the end was the only thing I didn't like. Other than that, it was fun to play a hack that was actually about fun, rather than some horrifically failed attempt at making poor Markyjoe rage! And we'll be getting a lot more fun in Maiden Quest, I think you'll all like it!
