Refa
also taiga is the best girl, seriously that goes without say though this is just a fervent competition for second place
The Geek
I think Nasu not writing the H-scenes is just a rumor and has never actually been proven. Regardless, TYPE-MOON have been trying to distance themselves from the eroge scene (IIRC, the last thing they produced that had H-content was Fate/Hollow Ataraxia back in 2005) especially since Realta Nua removed almost all references to sex in the story (though part of that may have also been Nasu trying to get people to actually like Shinji). Radiant head
How significant were the H-scenes? I kind of got the impression they were mostly incidental, and it was fairly easy for the PS2 version to cut them. I just hope the VN isn't porn! Junk
Heavens feel has a ton. The others have 1 or 2. All of them are hilarious to read.

I don't know why he would feel the need for it, since Shinji is an Excellus type of character, someone vile and almost irredeemable in my book (although Nasu tries to redeem him in UBW). The "moving away from eroge" thing is probably to be more mainstream, as erotic literature is quite niche. How significant were the H-scenes? I kind of got the impression they were mostly incidental, and it was fairly easy for the PS2 version to cut them. I just hope the VN isn't porn! In HF they're crucial to Sakura's characterization. In the other routes the whole "sperm has magic properties" thing is just an excuse for the sex. Edited May 10, 2015 by Cerberus87
Radiant head
Oh, so I'm guessing sex is how the mages "pass mana" to the servants. That's hilarious.
Skynstein
Oh, so I'm guessing sex is how the mages "pass mana" to the servants. That's hilarious. Info may be inaccurate since it's been almost 6 years since I finished FSN but here it goes. In Saber's case Shirou is a shitty magus so Saber often runs out of prana* and this creates situations where Shirou fucks Saber to give her prana through cum. In Rin's case it was to make a magic contract so Rin and Saber would stream prana to Shirou so he could deploy his Reality Marble. In Sakura's case it was also to give her prana because the Matou crest (the "Sanshi" worms as Kotomine puts it) drains her life. HF is annoying because disposing of Sakura is the best course of action to stop Zouken's plans but the game stops you from doing that on various occasions. Lots of Bad Ends in HF are due to the player trying to kill Sakura and something (often Rider) intervening. It's frustrating because Sakura isn't the most interesting character and her self-victimization gets really old really soon. *The Mirror-Moon translation refers to prana as "magical energy". Prana in FSN is basically what the Hindi prana is. It consists of mana (energy emanated from beings) and od (energy in the environment). Or maybe it's the other way around, I don't know. euklyd
Sorry, my first time doing anything needing spoiler tags here. Will do next time.I mean, let's be real the stuff in your post isn't even a tenth as spoiler-y as the posts by Malebolganone a.k.a. Cerberus87 (admittedly you made your post before he made his; maybe he's just trying to 1-up you)
euklyd
that goes without say though this is just a fervent competition for second placehow is it anything like "fervent," or even a "competition"? second place is clearly ilya e: actually I guess bazett maybe???? e2: looking back op clearly said "best waifu" so ilya is OUT, sorry creepers - bazett wins Edited May 10, 2015 by Euklyd
The Geek
HF only had 3 H-scenes IIRC. The first two with the excuse of Shirou using his mana to sustain Sakura while the third is one of the big developments in their relationship and Sakura realizing her worth, them doing it because they want to and are in love. [spoiler=HF spoilarz] After Sakura finally realizes that Shirou loves her in return, she gets cornered by Shinji, who tries to force her to come back. But now Sakura is determined that she is Shirou's, so she freaks out and roflstomps Shinji into a paste and falls under Angra Mainyu's corruption to engage in the world's most overblown temper tantrum. euklyd
I guess shitty usernames follow you forever.ngl for the longest time I read it as Malbolganone; I actually thought it was pretty okay, as far as usernames go
Original Alear
If you change your name, you can sometimes expect ppl who join after you change your name to call you by your new name. I'm pretty sure there are a few people who used to call me Mouse. Blackops used to call me BlueMartianKitty (or maybe just BMK). I think that xmas (agile tit lord) would call me Hank or Hawkeye...or someone would, anyway.
Skynstein
I think I'll just change it back to Malebolganone then. The problem is that I made it before I found out Valflame is more powerful. :P
Kriemhild
Nasu is a horrible writer, I seriously would not recommend reading Fate/Stay Night. There are a lot of better VNs out there. Unless you want to see cool action sequences in a VN, in which case F/SN actually presents them quite decently. But if that's the case, I can't understand why you'd want action scenes in a written novel form over an animated form *cough*ufotableUBW*cough*
Pull My Devil Trigger
i prefer the fights in the vn than in ufo's adaptation actually
euklyd
still not worth reading the VN just to see the fight scenes I think I'll just change it back to Malebolganone then. The problem is that I made it before I found out Valflame is more powerful. :P clearly you should go with Valbolganone, then :^)
Junk
While nasu's writing style is admittedly pretty bad the stories he tells are still great. It is refreshing to go from a nasu work to a ryukishi 7 work though. His writing style is quite nice. Edited May 11, 2015 by Junk
