PokeFan
I only have the 2DS myself. Will there be any downsides when playing this on 2DS?
Mackc2
There is no way to tell since the game isn't out however any disadvantage a 2ds gets a regular 3ds will get also. But I highly doubt there will be any disadvantage of playing on the older generations of 3ds besides no amiibo support
NekoKnight
There will be a severe lack of 3D projection, otherwise no changes.

B.Leu
It's far less awesome looking than the 3DS, I guess ? No 3D or Amiilol support, it's up to you to decide if it's that much of a drawback. To me, it's just just a bunch of a useless gimmick. Edited May 22, 2015 by B.Leu
Neoleo21
There's probably no gameplay disadvantage from playing on the 2DS.
Philranger
Aside from the 3d have there been any games that had any difference between the 2DS and 3DS? Also OP you will be missing this
B.Leu
But isn't it like portable computer ? Won't it break it if you do it too much ?
Book of Ereshkigal
No 3D or Amiilol support, it's up to you to decide if it's that much of a drawback. To me, it's just just a bunch of a useless gimmick. An adapter for Amiibo is coming out... eventually. If it's compatible with the regular 3DS, it's probably compatible with the 2DS. Roflolxp54
2DS: no 3D; has mono sound instead of stereo sound; not in a clamshell design (screens would more likely be scratched); lower processing power when compared to the New 3DS; no C-stick; no amiibo support without an adapter (will be released in Fall 2015)
goodperson707
^ i love how your last few points ignore the fact that they are new 3 ds exclusive.
