Any disadvantage if played on 2DS?

There is no way to tell since the game isn't out however any disadvantage a 2ds gets a regular 3ds will get also. But I highly doubt there will be any disadvantage of playing on the older generations of 3ds besides no amiibo support

Even then, amiibo support will be possible via the adapter coming out this fall.

It's far less awesome looking than the 3DS, I guess ?

No 3D or Amiilol support, it's up to you to decide if it's that much of a drawback. To me, it's just just a bunch of a useless gimmick.

An adapter for Amiibo is coming out... eventually. If it's compatible with the regular 3DS, it's probably compatible with the 2DS.

2DS: no 3D; has mono sound instead of stereo sound; not in a clamshell design (screens would more likely be scratched); lower processing power when compared to the New 3DS; no C-stick; no amiibo support without an adapter (will be released in Fall 2015)
