Shuuda
Episode Thirty Three: Rising Badge All eight gyms have been beaten now. Sadly, I need to do this pointless task before Clair will stop being a little sod and just hand over the badge. That said, I do get an awesome gift Pokemon at the end, so maybe it's worth the time after all. [spoiler=Episode Thirty Three: Part One] The only thing guarding the door is an old man. That's not tight security. That's not an attack I ever want to see. Typhoon will be sticking with the party for a while longer. Since the only things I'm encountering are these pricks, I might as well skip the encounter. Yeah, yeah, heard it all before. I'm sad I never got to use Rusty against Clair. The Heart Scale I need to get Ice Fang took forever to find. Well, aren't you a clever one. And that's all for the trainers in here. I loathe the gave for actually forcing me to use this HM. What is the point of this? [spoiler=Episode Thirty Three: Part Two] Here we are. Why they couldn't put the door on the other side, I have no idea. Only if I get a free Pokemon at the end of it. Bring on the trivia! Mah good buddies... who I need to complete this nuzlocke. Lots of grinding. I think that counts as training. Ones that'll make this nuzlocke more interesting, but not too hard. Knowing good movesets. The ones that don't die before I can catch them, 'cause I sort of need them. Bluffed my way through that one nicely. Up yours, Clair. I'm pretty sure Clair would win. She has two Dragonairs. Excellent. No, this is Sacred Gold. I think that means I've got to battle the other one. Yeah, you owe me a TM, too. Fork it over. I think Typhoon learns this at level 57 anyway. Ulysses already knows it, too. Thanks then. It wouldn't be so unfinished if you hadn't wasted so much of my time. Oh look, I get another Everstone. I guess I should head back there anyway. But first... Dratini, please. Dratini, please. Better have ExtremeSpeed. Even better. Jeez, thanks for that. That's not terrible at all. Dickhead. And now I have all eight badges. Wonderfully however, there's much dawdling to be done before I can even think of heading for the Pokemon League. So look forward to next time, where I go back to New Bark, and fetch some more encounters. Ain't you lucky. blah the Prussian
There is a badge in New Blackthorn they call the Rising Badge. And it's been the ruin of many a trainer because Claire is an ass.
Blaze The Great
You should totally use that crappy Dragonair. Even if he has a terrible nature for one, he's still good overall.
Shuuda
Episode Thirty Four: Wasting Balls I've got all eight badges, but there's still plenty of stuff to waste my time one before heading for the Elite Four. This episode, I head back to New Bark, and then I go fetch a couple of extra encounters. Nothing too interesting. [spoiler=Episode Thirty Four] I already got the encounter here, so now for the pointless battles. Are you prepared for a grass type? Evidently not. I dunno... That said, I doubt strong moves would do you any favours here. I hope that's not your attitude to women. I'm still over levelled. C'mon, catch up. That's not better. I probably missed a lot of trainers back there, but I don't care. I'm really scared you're going to want another battle. I can't catch legendaries, but I do have a future target in mind for this little thing. Lucky me. I'm looking forward to that. I'm sure they just want to congradulate me. Who are you again? Oh yeah. Thanks for the berries I never got to make us of, mum. Oh, and thanks for the Choice Scarf and Focus Sash. The only reliable way to fix anything. Sweet, I can get a Rotom Wash or Head... or maybe the other terrible ones. This took almost all my Pokeballs. I'm not even sure it was worth it to be honest. Since Drayano made it so Kingler can learn Waterfall in this hack, I decided to fetch one more encounter. I think this is Route 47. Yes, I used a Repel to get here. I've got enough water types, thank you very much. That's interesting. But catching this also took almost all of my balls. Just showing Farfetch'ds new typing in this hack. Decent nature, but I think the stats are still too low. That said, I think it can learn Close Combat and Night Slash from the relearner. Might be handy. Plus, I do know where to get the Stick item from. Next time, it's the Kimono Girls. Those are some quite worrying battles.

Darrman
Be a man, don't grind. If you wipe on the E4, well, they're the E4. Bring Hyper Potions. Lots and lots of Hyper Potions.

Shuuda
Episode Thirty Five: Eeveelutions Amidst criticism of over levelling, which have a kernal of truth, I head for the Dance Theatre to battle the Kimono Girls. This involves battling each of them one at the time, with no time to heal inbetween. That also means that each time I swap out a Pokemon, they have to take a hit from their Pokemon. This is arguably more challenging than most of the gym leaders. [spoiler=Episode Thirty Five: Part One] I'm not being filled with confidence. I'm seriously worried I might lose a lot here. Okay. Bye, Fuckface. Onto the battles! There're... more here than I remember. Oh god. All seven? No, but bring it anyway! Umbreon's bulky as all hell, but surely it can't survive a Close Combat. I hate doing this. Umbreon's my second favourite Eeveelution. If memory tells me right, this should be Espeon. I'm really not sure about this, since Espeon is fast and hits hard. The good part is that Espeon can barely take a hit. Can I convince you to not bother with this? Pretty please. Let's hope you're not faster then, 'cause I've got just the thing right here. That's three down. Just four more to go. [spoiler=Episode Thirty Five: Part Two] I don't know why, but that name just doesn't seem to fit well. No clue why. I'm going to risk it. I'm sure Ulysses is faster anyway. Calm down, Ulysses. Okay... so I'm still over levelled. But I can't help it if their levels have flatlined. I think I've been challenged enough today. Maybe we can take a break. I'm surprised you don't have Flare Blitz in this hack. You survive a Dig, and waste it on a move that makes me more powerful as well? Five down. Two to go, but Jolteon and Vaporeon aren't exactly weak either. And I am Shuuda -- Pest Control! Don't have Grass Knot. Ugh... Nevermind then. That could've gone very badly. Most importantly, you're the last one. Bad part however, is that Vaporeon is arguably the most dangerous battle here. That's bad. That's seriously bad. I'm going to have to swap out again. I know it'd have that, but Trapsnatch is just going to have to tank it. Of course Vaporeon is sturdy. It could survive. Or maybe not. All Eeveelutions are down, and I didn't lose anyone. Was beating Team Rocket and the gyms not proof enough? Aww dang it all! No legendaries! Next time, I go to face the legendary that I'm not allowed to catch. That'll be the last thing I have to do before heading towards the Pokemon League. [spoiler=Team]
blah the Prussian
Eh, it makes for a better story if you don't catch it anyway. I always thought the concept of a ten year old with a god was stupid.

Shuuda
Episode Thirty Six: No Legendaries Allowed! Before I can head for the Elite Four, I have one last battle. It's time to sort out Ho-oh, and make sure he knows that I'm not allowed to catch legendaries. Let's hope for an epic battle against the mascot Pokemon. [spoiler=Episode Thirty Six] I found this entirely by chance. I should probably actually be looking for more of them. Awesome TM, but nothing to use it on for now. You know, Raticate seems kind of good in this hack, so I wouldn't mind that little fella down there. Behold my beautiful feather. I got it for defeating an entire gang. I fucking love this puzzle. Brilliant. Sweet. I love Crobat. Interesting. According to the documentation, the Zubat line can learn Nasty Plot by level up in this hack. So... special Crobat maybe? Air Slash/Sludge Bomb/Nasty Plot/Roost? I'm really thinking about it. This just keeps getting better and better. And then the builders got cheap. Delightful. All right, lets do this then. Why is it strangly dark up here? Isn't it the middle of the day? Aw shit, I got Polio. Either that's a flaming jet, or the sun coming out of its arse. Just you wait until they introduce Rayquaza. You'll be screwed. Oh rawr. For fuck sake! Level 50? Not 60... not even 55, but 50! It's a legendary, so give it some fucking punch! Fine then. I guess this'll be a short battle. Just making sure you've not going anything up your sleeve. Ho-oh's attack and special attack are both pretty high. That's it? No Earthquake? No Extrasensory? No Recovering? Jesus. Sigh. That's so disappointing. It's just the rules. And there you have it. I can't say I'm surprised by how things turned out, but I can move on to what actually matters now. Next time, I'll finally start making the journey to the Indigo Plateau. You'll be seeing plenty of battles and encounters.
Darrman
If I catch you grinding again, I'll hack Rare Candies to level down your Pokémon. And switch things to the Gen 5 EXP formula. Ha. Anyways, good luck on VR!

Shuuda
Episode Thirty Seven: To Victory Road It's finally time to head for the Indigo Plateau, going along two of my favourite routes in the entire series. You'll see plenty of trainer battles and encounters along the way. Their teams are getting bigger, stronger, and full of all sorts of dangerous Pokemon, but I've got a well balanced team to handle them with. [spoiler=Episode Thirty Seven: Part One] I really don't like having to teach Surf to a physical attacker like Panzer, but I've got little choice in the matter. I guess Dig will have to go. And the best route music in the series. Hopefully I can snatch up some good Pokemon along the way. I need all the powerful Pokemon I can get my hands on. I'll take it. It even has Slack off. Give it Surf, Psychic, and Ice Beam, and you've got yourself one great water type. Sadly, due to the length of the routes, I won't be able to give you the low down on Slowbro until later. I guess that'll be a surprise for all of us. Crab power! Take us up the waterfall. No. I did plenty of that earlier. I think Celadon is taking applications for a new gym leader. Jeez, thanks for the lovely TM that I'll never make us of. And you look like an easy target. That's a nice four times weakness you've got there. I'm debating whether an Alakazam would be a good thing to have on my team. And here is my encounter for 27. A good replacement for Xian, in case he finally falls. [spoiler=Episode Thirty Seven: Part Two] Well, I did beat all eight gyms. I guess that counts for something. Nope. Get out of there. It's more accurate than Crabhammer at least. Explosion begone! (Will you fuck off) I wish I'd caught a Ralts. I much prefer Gallade over Lucario. It's one route away. Not exactly far. I need to lay off the Flare Blitz trigger. I was afraid Xian would kill himself if I used him against this VIleplume. Then go and challenge him. Sorry, mate... Still too slow. Now it's time for the Route 26 Encounter. Okay, I guess that's decent enough. It's the Steelix that's impressive. It also has a better animation than Crabhammer. That really sounds like an old woman name. I should've seen this one coming. Damn, that ws scary. This is just too cruel. [spoiler=Episode Thirty Seven: Part Three] It's the final leg until Victory Road. Oh, sod off! Try burning him. Hopefully, it's not as lucky as my Rampardos. That would be a scary thing indeed. Damn it. Killing all these Pokemon I actually really like. A Sceptile, an Ampharos, and a Porygon-Z Bad news mate, you're not going. I could've had a Luxary. Seriously vicious design. And this is the last trainer before Victory Road. Let's crush her! Rusty is absurdly good at tanking these blows. Please don't survive. I don't want to eat a Hi Jump Kick. And here we are. Victory Road is next up. And those are the last routes before the Indigo Plateau. Up next, I'll taking on Victory Road and the Rival. His team will probably be fully evolved and very deadly. I'm confident I have everything I need in order to take him on, but battling a whole team of different types is always a scary thing. Blaze The Great
Wait, what was the gen 5 exp mechanic? Basically, instead of gaining a set amount of experience for wild Pokemon species at the same level (obviously varied from species to species), and then to know trainer experience you just multiplied that by 1.5. That's how it worked in every generation except Gen 5. In Gen 5, you gained experience relative to your Pokémon's level vs. There's. The lower level you were, the more exp you gained, and the higher you were in comparison to your opponent, the less you gained. It made grinding a nightmare. Also, as an aside to Shuuda, I've used both Gallade and Lucario before, and IMHO, Lucario is way better.
