I guess there are some tiny things in the stats, like Elphin is probably a little more sturdy than Lalum, and I guess Ninian and Nils have those rings, but otherwise there's not a whole lot. That being said, they are very useful units to have! Revitalizing someone so they can move again is always handy! As characters, they're all good and they all have their little twists. Lalum is the adoptive daughter of Douglas, Elphin is secretly a prince, Nils and Ninian are dragons, Tethys is part of a mercenary group, and so on and so forth. I think my favorite would have to be Ninian, I've always loved her backstory and EliwoodxNinian is totally canon. Plus, she's a dragon. C'mon. Nils is right behind her, because again backstory and dragon. NOTE: 1: A character's starting class determines which list they go on. For prepromotes, what would have been their starting class in their game determines which list they go on. For example, Renault is a Bishop, but his starting class would have been a Monk if he wasn't a prepromote, so he goes on the Monk/Bishop list. Yodel, on the other hand, goes on the Priest/Cleric/Bishop list, he is a Bishop but in Binding Blade Monk was not a class so his starting class would have been a Priest. 2: If a character is not playable in the main story, they are not included. Azz Posted August 31, 2015 Share Posted August 31, 2015 This was extremely difficult.I love Ninian and Nils cause I have a bias for both dancers/bards and manaketes in FE and them being both is just hrrggg but then there is Tethys who is 1)from SS my favorite(Well second if I count Fates but I will not till the localization)FE and 2)being the sister of my favorite character from SS Ewan. I ultimately said Tethys however cause I find she is the best representation of a dancer in the series, she is dressed the part, her theme is amazing and she is a very strong character and she does not let her over-sexuality take over her as a character and a dancer. I would've liked to have been able to use both Nils and Ninian (as redundant as that is) on a map. I hold them both in high regards, but I think Tethys is my favorite. Ninian edges out usefulness since she can do fun supporty things in addition to dance (although dance is still her primary usefulness, but nini's grace is really good for training heath in the desert since he starts loling at mages with it) But I voted Tethys because best design best personality, Ninian rings aren't /that/ much more useful to make me like her more than Tethys Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Busterman64 Posted April 8, 2016 Share Posted April 8, 2016 (edited) Honestly, Ninian is my favorite as a whole(because of letting you move twice and increasing one stat for a turn is great), but Niles, for some reason, looks pretty cool to me(maybe it's the long yellow scarf). Tethys is third for backstory and her support with Griek. I don't use her that much in SS due to how the maps are a bit more confined and she would be more in danger than Ninian is, but I still like her. Also, Ninian X Eliwood is canon dang it, they're so cute together and don't you dare say other wise! Shanty Pete's 1st Mate Posted May 31, 2016 Share Posted May 31, 2016 I would rank them: Nils > Tethys > Lalum > Ninian Unranked: Elphin A bit of foreword: I'm not a huge fan of the GBA-era dancers, having been spoiled by Tellius's herons and Jugdral's 4-space dancers. Having said that... Nils is just such a BAMF. He teams up with Lyn, he has his own barding theme, and he breaks up what would otherwise be a slaughter in midgame, just by charging on in. He's a teal-haired shota who's mature enough to share with his sister, and even to leave her in the end. Even without supports, he's an interesting, lovable character. Tethys is Magvel's only dancer, and has she got the moves! Plus, she supports with Ewan, Gerik, and a few others. Lalum can dodge long-range attacks and staves all day. And she can support with General Doug himself! Ninian is good, I guess. She's an interesting character, but always so somber and grave. And the plot points around her at the story's end are pretty nonsensical. Regardless, she's a reliable unit with helpful rings, for the limited frame you get to use her.
