Irony
The idea of both Apollo and Athena handling cases by themselves is a really good one and I have in my mind a good scenario about all this spirit thing but I do hope so it is not about the Fey clan as I would like to see another clans and I can imagine the game to be different this time, the trials don't take place in a courtroom and the judge won't be a normal judge anymore but a high priest of a clan is the judge now and stuff... Wouldn't it be awesome if the final case was in fact two (or three) different cases that turned out to be linked- e.g. Phoenix gets a case involving a murder in this new country, Apollo, Athena, Ema and Trucy are investigating a kidnapping in LA (Japanafornia? I cannot remember the fan name for the country the series takes place in) and Franziska, Lang, Kay and Edgeworth investing a murder case in Zheng Fa. It then turns out that the three cases are linked to a human trafficking cartel (or something. That was the first thing that came to mind). You also get the option to switch between the three cases at will, as well as the ability to send evidence across the three cases (e.g. A document that Phoenix found in his case could be used by Apollo, Trucy, Ema and Athena in their case to prove that someone is not who they say that they are). I know it would be complicated to write such a case, but It would still be amazing. Anyways- my sibling and I are as hyped as hype for this release. We both fangirled over the reveal, and we are celebrating the fact that it's gonna be released in the west.

Seriously, he looks really pissed. I do hope so that he will be more manly because I didn't quite liked the fact that Phoenix was a little too scared and childish in the old games. Wouldn't it be awesome if the final case was in fact two (or three) different cases that turned out to be linked- e.g. Phoenix gets a case involving a murder in this new country, Apollo, Athena, Ema and Trucy are investigating a kidnapping in LA (Japanafornia? That would be awesome to switch between characters and all the old ones to be present in this game, overall those games take about 30 hours-average to complete them and I would like them to be a little longer and to allow the players to explore a little more and talk with all kinds of NPC's. Rapier
YES no DLC plz plz And no things lovey dovey. The last game was about the dark age of the law but felt too much about friendship. I felt like the last game did not cover the Dark Age of the Law properly. If they stuck to the theme of "a decadent juridic system being reformed by Wright & Co. and Edgeworth, who face against corrupt lawyers and abusers of the law", it would have been much better. The third case had more to do with the Dark Age of the Law than the others, to be honest (because it reflects on how young students are being doctrinated into becoming corrupt lawyers). I believe the game should've had cases with a similar theme and tone to that one. Also, I think it is ridiciulous to say it was all started by Blackquill going to prison and Wright's issue on AJ when a lot of crap happened from the DL-6 timeline to the actual timeline that should make people doubt the law. In short, the game doesn't follow it's theme properly, and the conclusion doesn't make me believe the issue was even remedied. It was a fun experience that could have been much better. kingddd
https://twitter.com/capcom_france/status/638738807010029568 it seems like the spin off title Dai Gyakuten Saiban is confirmed to never be released internationally. Also I can't wait to see how happens in this game.

Kirie
I'm guessing there will be work on a translation patch. There was a team that did the same for AAI2 and, though it took them a while, they did a really nice job with it, so we'll at least still be able to play it. Water Mage
I'm starting to think that Ace Attorney has something against the west, I mean, did you know that japanese theme parks have arcade machines with exclusive cases on them? Here's the proof: http://image.gamer.ne.jp/news/2015/20150423/0005ddf13adf660a462a1288494b47a31f60/o/19.jpg http://www.famitsu.com/images/000/087/574/l_55e7dbee387ea.jpg https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CN9N2U8UEAA7DBu.png:large

How does this even work? Are these really short cases because I don't think I will be able to stand playing ace attorney standing up at an arcade area for 4 hours straight. And what's Phoenix doing in that last pic?Is he using Hadouken or something?
Rapier
Ok, so why the hell would they localize AA6 but not DGS? I can't see any reason why not.
Thane
It's written by Yamazaki, and I haven't enjoyed any of his works that much. He tends to make cases far more convoluted and throw in cheap solutions towards the end, and his writing is far less subtle than Takumi's. I'm also skeptical against using Phoenix again, considering he's been developed plenty already, whereas Apollo has a lot more room left to grow, not to mention has a considerable amount of loose plot threads to be resolved. It's my favorite story-driven series of all time, so I'm glad it's been confirmed for a Western release, but I really don't have any high expectations after Dual Destinies. Rapier
I liked the AAI cases but disliked most of DD's cases. I think they should stick with working on Edgeworth spin-offs.
Thane
I liked the AAI cases but disliked most of DD's cases. I think they should stick with working on Edgeworth spin-offs. I didn't like them at all, but at least they don't completely ruin the main series. I've got zero confidence in Yamazaki's writing, but I dearly hope he pulls it off since I adore the franchise. However, after Dual Destinies, he proved that he didn't grasp what made the series popular in the first place, nor did he have the competence to write a coherent narrative. It's odd; Apollo was placed highest in the popularity poll after Dual Destinies was released, so I was expecting them to continue with his story and give him proper character development unlike the joke that was 5-5. Oh well, at least there's no word of Athena yet. With any luck, we'll never see or hear about her again.

solrocknroll
Interestingly, the country's name is Kurain. hint hint Also, it's surprising to see Objection! 2004 again, but I guess that's now the main series overall Objection theme now. Thane
Damn, I was just about to link it. Strange that they'd invent an entire country and name it after Kurain. I'll be honest, I don't like how it looks at all. Then again, I liked the Dual Destinies trailers and really disliked the game, so I'll hope for the opposite here. By the way, an anime has also been confirmed for April 2016.Now all that's left is news about Persona 5 on Saturday!
CyborgZeta
I'm not too enthused about AA6, since I'm not a fan of Yamazaki's writing. I'll probably still play it, but I'd really prefer to check out DGS. Anime might be good, depending on how they adapt the cases.

Jedi
I haven't played an Ace Attorney game since Trials and Tribulations, since I felt that was a good end to the saga. But who knows maybe I'll bite.
kingddd
I haven't played an Ace Attorney game since Trials and Tribulations, since I felt that was a good end to the saga. But who knows maybe I'll bite. go for the AAI1 and AAI2 (English Fan Translation). The first one you need it for the setup for AAI2 as it brings back the lore of the original AA. I consider AAI2 to be right at Trials and Tribulation as all the cases in AAI2 are amazing.. Edited September 17, 2015 by kingddd
Rapier
AAI is after T&T, AAI2 if I recall correctly occurs shortly before or at the same time as AJ. I liked some of the ideas presented in AA6, like knowing the victim's final moments and thoughts, but the medium country doesn't interest me much. Especially after the writer sent all other characters I know and love to ride a bus somewhere. Also, it is possible that the anime isn't an adaptation of the games. The manga has original cases, after all. Why not the anime? That said, in this case they'll have to think on ways to develop Maya, Edgeworth and Phoenix if the first AA's cases won't be present.
