Zera
enjoy your raccoons yes it does. it's saying that the reason is not the aforementioned "people, in large numbers" Oh, I see now. I didn't get it because it was just worded awkwardly. Edited March 5, 2016 by Zera

peener weener
I never said your dislike of the Metroid Prime series was invalid. On the other hand, you said "First person is the wrong direction for Metroid", a statement contradicted by the vast majority of players and critics who loved it. You should have said "I don't think first person is the right direction for Metroid", expressing your opinion without stating a non-fact. I do not want people stating non-facts or opinions as facts in my topic. Did you visit the JP website? There's already some videos there, and even a world map. http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/kirby/images/a/a1/KPR_Display.png/revision/latest?cb=20160304023112&path-prefix=en The world themes look pretty interesting. Oh, BTW, you still didn't answer my question... just saying. Did you really play it? I said ORIGINAL statement, but once again, good job reading only things you want toEdit: and yes, i have, its really not as obscure as you think, and you thinking im lying just cause i dont like this game youre obsessed with is so fucking funny Edited March 5, 2016 by fuccboi

Parrhesia
My opinion of Zera is that he is a morally bankrupt person with no sense of perspective or irony, I cite every post he has made in this thread as my proof.
peener weener
I thought bangai o was a neat little idea but it was poorly effectivized and they chose possibly the worst system to make such a game on. The screen is a mess at literally all times, and following the action is difficult, but thats not so important because you dont actually have to follow the action, because gameplay is fairly mechanized. What i mean by that is that youre less reacting to whats happening on screen and more dealing with situations in ways that are pre-set. For a game whose whole selling point is its action packed, fast gameplay, this disconnect is kinda jarring to me. Also, it tends to lag horribly when the screen is busiest so its even more tedious to follow the action, and its not helped by the ds's tiny ass screen and sprites. While the gameplay is admittedly pretty fun, it gets repetitive pretty soon, because the way you tackle problems doesn't change much, but map layouts and enemy placements do. Also i personally am fond of strong narratives and bangai o literally lacks one. Not that thats a bad thing, especially with how the game is structured (levels) and its impossible for a plot to be good and also have giant robots in it, but hey, thats a personal preference of mine. So yeah it was a fun little game especially at first but it got stale fast and i didnt find myself going back to it a lot and its ultimately nothing to write home about. I think it suffers from being on an inadequate platform, and would be much much better on pc. I played it years ago on my brothers suggestion though, so i might think differently if i were to play it again today, but i dont really feel inclined to do so at all. My brother seemed to love it, and i can see the appeal, but it really just isnt to my taste lmao. My opinion now is exactly as "valid" as it was two pages ago, and it didnt change because i explained myself to you

Integrity
Integrity, I think you should finish your incomplete sentence so it has meaning. Otherwise, people might respond with copy/pasted lines and gifs of raccoons facepalming. if one person tells you you have a tail, laugh if many people tell you you have a tail, check your ass

Zera
Thank you so much for your response. Some of your comments I have never seen before, and I would like to inquire further on them. gameplay is fairly mechanized. What i mean by that is that youre less reacting to whats happening on screen and more dealing with situations in ways that are pre-set ... While the gameplay is admittedly pretty fun, it gets repetitive pretty soon, because the way you tackle problems doesn't change much, but map layouts and enemy placements do. This comment is very interesting. I would think the variety of stages, enemies, terrain, weapons, etc., and the inherent depth of the mechanics would not be conducive to repetitive gameplay. So, what exactly became repetitive for you?

Soapbar
I can't help but look at this thread and go "shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit this was me like 4 years ago" the pretentious "well that's your opinion/in MY opinion". the inability to recognize that people can voice said opinions with some amount of conviction. the "ya gotta explain your opinions MAN" and the ~openness~ to dissenting voices (read: not actually open at all). as someone who has been down this road before OP, i recommend you stop for a moment and reconsider how you post for a moment. you will end up having a lot less to cringe over when you look back later down the line. as an idiot who started posting on the internet when he was fucking 12, you do not want to have as much to cringe about as I do
Zera
This is the intro movie... but it was recorded without sound, so GameXplain added their own (unfitting) music.

Zera
I'm digging the visual designs of the levels - there's even a casino. Also, at 1:20 there's a sticker that looks like the key chains from Triple Deluxe.
Zera
Since Planet Robobot won't be coming out until I die of Kirby withdrawal symptoms, I've edited the title to encompass the other Kirby games. I've also added a new poll.
