eclipse
Trails of Cold Steel, if you can find it (PS3). It's a gigantic world, with a roller coaster of a story, and a battle system that's hard but fair (usually). If you have Steam, go get Trails in the Sky (both of 'em), too! EDIT: Use the Edit button instead of double-posting (next time will be a proper warn). Edited January 24, 2016 by eclipse

Dwlr
PS3 Last of Us (exclusive pretty much universally hailed as a good game) Dark Souls (Can be hard for some so might give you some good hours) Metal Gear Solid 4 (lots of stuff to collect for replayability) Oblivion Game of the Year Edition (Lengthy open world) Skyrim (Lenghty open world) Uncharted collection (exclusive series good value) 3ds Monster Hunter (replay value) Super Smash Brothers 4 (if you like playing with others can be a good value) Mario Kart (If you like playing with others can be a good value) Megaman Legacy collection (several games in a collection) Wii U Super Smash Brothers 4 (Same as the 3ds version) Super Mario Maker (Fan levels extend replayability)

Zera
What lucky coincidence that I made this topic a few days ago! http://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=59917 How incredibly convenient for both of us! For your Wii U, I recommend Super Mario 3D World and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. For your 3DS, I recommend Bangai-O Spirits and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. Knight
I want to recommend Dark Souls to everyone, just so they can feel the experience of a modern AAA game that gives no fucks about playing nice and easy. I also have to recommend Batman Arkham City and Shadow of the Colossus on the PS3, and the Metroid Prime Trilogy on Wii U eshop. That's much of my favourite games right there you can get in a $60 budget. Xenoblade Chronicles and its sequel are great, and Mario Maker's fun. Thane
I'll recommend the Ace Attorney trilogy on the 3DS for some of the best stories and well-written dialogue in gaming, Fire Emblem for gameplay and Persona 4 for the PS2 (works on 3 as well, right? I've only played it on the Vita) for a nice mix of both, provided you can stand some anime bullshit along the way.

You can get in on the PS Store for a whopping $9.99 Also, question for OP: Do you like difficult games? If not, I'd suggest steering away from the main Shin Megami Tensei games, because they're quite known for being really hard if you don't what you're doing
