Tessie Spoon
Mimana: Iyar Chronicles. I find (most of) the playable cast charming, and the story is a below-average, yet I still find myself enjoying it. Though I do understand why people would hate it; the gameplay flaws are described well-enough in this review, and it came out with an asking price of fourty dollars. Damn, that's about as bad a deal as buying Ar Tonelico 3 when it was new, and that was $60. I'd probably hate this game, too, if I paid anything near its original asking price. Sh!t Lord
Terraria The game is great, bosses are very fun, has many cool items and weapons, great ost, etc. However what I hate is how after hardmode or if you want to get a rare item you are going to be grinding 90% of the time. I once spent at least 2 months trying to get a rare weapon called the Vampire Knives and I'm still trying to prepare a good arena for one of the hardmode bosses, Plantera. Aizenberg
Any of the old school Castlevania games. They're so tough.
sylveonzoroark
Bravely Default. The story is terrible, especially in the later chapters, but I deal with it bc I love the gameplay and jobs. Bravely Second does both those waay better though so win win.
Knight Falchion
Kingdoms of Amalur. I really enjoy the level of customization the combat system features and how easy it is to experiment due to immediately accessible and cheap respeccing, the combat itself is a cathartic blast, and the game's aesthetic, while not revolutionary, is one I enjoy. The issue is how boring the writing is. It isn't even amusingly poor, just bland as fuck with characters and quest lines I can barely remember. Still, the combat is fun enough that I come back to it occasionally, but I hesitate to recommend it. Rapier
Professor Layton. I tried playing the games, but I'm really not into mathematical/logical puzzles. I even wanted to play PL vs AA, but the PL part convinced me to not try.
