DragonFlames
Because the Greeks were weird like that. EDIT: DAMN IT! NINJA'D!!! Current question: Yes. Why do some Japanese gods have multiple names? Edited June 15, 2018 by DragonFlames I was Ninja'd!
Hawkwing
It's easier to write, and/or the name has an alternative meaning that the writer wishes to make clearer. Don't quote me on this. I'm trying to remember what the Sword of the Samurai manual said on the Japanese language. Someone once asked me what I perfer: The walking aroma of freshly cut grass on a fine summer's day, or the exhilarating tang of ozone in a thunderstorm. It was a difficult question to answer. The heavy scent of lazy days of mis-spent youth, or the opportunity-laden promise of excitement and danger. And do you know what I said? DragonFlames
42. Whose bright idea was it to turn off the lights?
Karimlan
Not mine. Did DragonFlames just reference Douglas Adams or am I just attaching too much importance to the number 42?
IfIHadToPickADude
Yup, they did. It's a thing everyone does. Did Voltaire, the French Philosopher, actually write erotica or am I going insane?
Karimlan
I wouldn't put it past him if he did. What if you found out that the creator of the tale of Robin Hood was the Earl of Oxford all along?
SMEDIA
I would be confused; why would a rich person make up a noble hero that steals from the rich? Am I the only person who greatly enjoys the books by James Morrow? (his best book is Towing Jehova)
Dragoncat
I don't know, never heard of that author or book. Is a fly without wings called a walk?
SMEDIA
Yes; and if it walks on top of a cake, it’s called a “cake walk.” Why is Boba Fett one of the most, If not the most, favorite character from Star Wars?
Hawkwing
3 hours ago, DragonFlames said: 42. My attempt at a reference was instead answered with an entirely different reference. Is this a first for this thread? 19 minutes ago, SMEDIA said: Why is Boba Fett one of the most, If not the most, favorite character from Star Wars? He looks bad@$$, gives off a mysterious yet professional vibe, and the Expanded Universe does him a lot of justice. Why is the Star Wars fanbase so toxic nowadays? And what happened to the people who read the Star Wars Expanded Universe (P.S. It's really, really, really good. Seriously, look at it next time you get a chance)? Dismissed
Fan entitlement, and Disney declared the EU as non-canon. Why is FE7x obsessed with trainee units? Right off the bat, you are given three, with a fourth one joining shortly after, then immediately after, you are given two more. Why? Hawkwing
The creators wanted to give the player several choices about how their army could develop, as well as to put the class make-up in the player rather than the developers hands. They could also have been inspired by Gaiden/Echoes, where three to four out of the five or six starting units are villagers. Or they wanted players to use Jeigan-like strategies without actually having a Jeigan. What in the world is the point of the Rabbit side-quest in Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks? And who thought that capturing bunnies with what is essentially a larger butterfly net would be a good idea?
SMEDIA
I only played that game once and I can’t recall getting anything useful for the bunnies. From the same Zelda game: why oh why did the programmers hate the player so much that they made playing the songs that unlock more tracks so difficult? Karimlan
just like the I AM ERROR bit in Zelda II IIRC: just to fuck with your head. What if we are all ERROR? Edited June 16, 2018 by Karimlan
Dragoncat
Then none of us were planned. We are all broken condoms on the couch. Why won't Troll Dad call his children by their names?
KnightOfNohr
He doesn't have a name, so he does it out of spite. Where's a good place to find a Sacred Stones ROM? (I own the game on the Wii U VC, just for clarification)
Dismissed
Uhh... internet? Search engine, perhaps? @KnightOfNohr, are you planning to play my PME?
KnightOfNohr
Yup! I was asking if someone could point me to a site that doesn't have a bunch of viruses, in case anyone was wondering.
Dragoncat
PMed you. Why does everyone assume Humpty Dumpty was an egg when it's said nowhere in the nursery rhyme?
Dismissed
Because Mangs, who looks like an egg, and Donald Trump, who likes walls, both didn't exist yet, so they automatically assumed it was an egg. Why does my dad like to assume?
KnightOfNohr
Maybe he just likes donkeys. Has anyone here read by "Excerpts From A Tactician's Journal" fanfic?

Hawkwing
Does doing so during a family reunion count? Or if it was noticed by only one other person? In Fire Emblem, why isn't wind magic used like the Force (specifically, Force Push/Pull/Grip) from Star Wars?
IfIHadToPickADude
Because people don't think that well. Why doesn't Ice magic get it's own family? We have Fimbulvetr and that's about it.
