Cornguy
That Feh pronounced Camus incorrectly?
Florete
No.
Interdimensional Observer
No. "Camu" is how you pronounce it in French you Anglo-heathen! Like Albert Camus the existentialist philosopher.
C. Turtle
I mean, it aligns with his Japanese name. So I'd say Feh's got it right, even if it sounds a little strange.
Johann
Camus can do, but Bartre is smartre
bottlegnomes
Yes. I mean, she is right, and I'd suspected that was the way it was pronounced for some time, but it'll always be Came-us in my heart.
Rezzy
If you're going to pronounce it the French way, use the proper accent, this way is a hybrid abomination of speech.
Captain Karnage
I think they pronounced his name just to annoy us all
Johann
Just now, Captain Karnage said: I think they pronounced his name just to annoy us all I was actually really pleased that they got it right

The "oo" comes more from the back of the throat in French. This was a lazy, mouthy moo.

Well true, but I mean that they didn't say CAY-muss or something equally ridiculous
Cute Chao
I play another game with a Camus in that. It's pronounced the same way, so I got used to the idea, even if it's odd to me.

Melissa
I always pronounced it "Ca-muhs"
Sock
Goody, confirmation that I've pronounced it incorrectly for ~7 years. I found out the proper pronunciation of the name 2 months ago and my mind was blown. That feeling when everything you thought you knew comes crumbling down. Humanoid
My sister and I could never decide on a satisfactory pronunciation so we just flanderised it into Ka-MOOSE.
Ice Dragon
It's supposed to be /kamü/, not /kamu/. The /ü/ sound is pronounced by putting your lips in the position to say "oo" as in "moo", but attempting to pronounce "ee" as in "me" with your tongue. NegativeExponents-
That honestly threw me off guard. I guess this is just one of those times I’ll keep mispronouncing it. 36 minutes ago, RulerJeanne said: I always pronounced it "Ca-muhs" That’s how I pronounce it too. Just feels right that way. Arcphoenix
Many of the pronunciation from this update surprised me. I guess that’s consequence of lack of voice acting and text-based communities XD. Are-mahds as Are-mads Sha-rain-uh as Sha-ree-nah and Cay-moo as Came-us (the latter in each is how I always pronounced it). BANRYU
I'm okay with that being how it's pronounced, I just had no flippin' idea .-. At least I can take solace in the knowledge that I always pronounced Tharja's name right =3=

Poimagic
I’m probably gonna start saying Camoo from now on, just cause I like it better. And if it’s appearently canon, then so be it. At least it’s not as bad as some of the correct pronunciations for Pokémon
Raven
Let the French pronounce it however they like. I'm still going to pronounce it like "Samus" with a "C."
Seafarer
Yes. Yes we can. Well, no, obviously, but I can. Grustian names are Germanic (Wulfrik), Scandinavian (Ymir), or Slavic (Yuliya). There's no hint of French in there. It makes no sense for Camus to be a French name in among all that. Guess what? There's a Camus who's from Scandinavian folklore. Guess how they pronounce it (per my German friend and my Danish sister)? Ka-moose. Up yours, Feh.
