Interdimensional Observer
I've decided to funnel my liking for gathering bits of data and assemble them into an actual topic for anyone to reference. What shall be included? Well I'm including the percentage of each world/game's roster presently in FEH. And the rough numbers of who aren't in according to unit type. I've also added who is in according to weapon and movement type combination. But I'm willing to add more data as is desired. First, representation numbers: Number of PCs per game: Spoiler Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light: 52 Gaiden: 32 in total Alm’s Team: 16 Celica’s Team: 16 Mystery of the Emblem: Book 1: 47 Book 2: 45 Genealogy of the Holy War: 1st Generation: 24 2nd Generation: 25 Thracia 776: 51 Binding Blade: 52 (not including Trial Maps, or Merlinus) Blazing Sword: 44 (Hector Mode) 41 (Eliwood Mode) counts Ninian and Nils separately. Sacred Stones: 33 (not including Orson or the Creature Campaign characters) Path of Radiance: 46 (no Trial Maps) Radiant Dawn: 72 (not including the Black Knight, but including Lehran and Pelleas) Shadow Dragon: 59 (Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light plus the 7 new characters) Heroes of Light and Shadow: 79 (counting both sex of Kris separately, includes final maidens, no BS only characters included) Awakening: 51 (37 without kids, with both sexes of Robin and Morgan, including spot pass paralogues) Fire Emblem Fates Overall Total: 69 characters. Shared Characters on all Paths: 14- 10 Adults (both sexes of Corrin, plus Anna, minus Izana) and 6 children (both sexes of Kana) Birthright Exclusive Characters: 27- 19 adults (includes Izana) and 8 children Total Birthright Roster: 41 Conquest Characters: 26- 18 adults (includes Izana) and 8 children Total Conquest Roster: 40 Revelation Roster: 64 (not counting Scarlet) SoV: Add Faye and Conrad to Gaiden, so 34, adding the Cipher quartet makes it 38. Three Houses: 35 (counting the Byleths separately) Number of non-alt Characters in FEH and the percent it is of the total roster. Note that going wholly on PC totals (without Trial Maps or Creature Campaign) isn't a good idea here, since it leaves out important NPCs and villains, so add ~6-10 additional characters to account for this. Does not count characters who debuted in Seasonal form, non-Seasonal but still alt, nor Selena as Severa or Laslow as Inigo. Spoiler Archanea: 26/83 = 31.33%. (+4 villains of Camus, Clarisse, Legion, and Dark Emperor Hardin.) Spoiler To think on Archanea, the only ones who don't return as PCs in New Mystery are Jagen, Gotoh, Hardin, and Boah. So let us add them to New Mystery's 77 PC cast, and count Kris twice, once for each sex. This brings things up to 82. 30/82 = 36.59% Marth Caeda Jagen Draug Abel Cain Gordin Ogma Barst Navarre Palla Catria Est Minerva Maria Michalis Luke Roderick Merric Linde Child Tiki Jeorge Sheena Wrys Athena Katarina Valentia: 20/38 = 52.63%. (The two villains Berkut and Duma are not being counted) (20/34 = 58.82% if the Cipher quartet are excluded.) Spoiler Alm Celica Saber Mae Boey Genny Leon Lukas Grey Tobin Kliff Clive Clair Mathilda Palla Catria Est Delthea Sonya Faye Judgral: 20/93 = 21.50% (excluding Subs, add 14 for them). (Does not include the 5 villains Ishtar, Reinhardt, Arvis, Julius, Eldigan presently in) Genealogy: 18/48 = 37.5%. Of which, 11, or 12 with Finn, are Gen 1, and the other 5-6 are Gen 2. Thracia = 5/51 = 9.8%. Reasoning and unsegregated list of characters: Spoiler Between the two Generations of FE4, we have 48 unique playable characters (not counting Finn twice). Thracia 776 has 51 characters. 6 non-Brigid-Eyvel characters are shared between the two games, so 45. 45 + 48 = 93. Sigurd Seliph Deidre Julia Ares Quan Leif Lachesis Nanna Silvia Lene Arden Ethlyn Finn Ayra Jamke Lewyn Tailtiu Olwen Saias Elibe both FEs 6&7: 35/98 = 35.71%. Binding Blade: 16/52 = 30.77% (+3 villains in Zephiel, Narcian, and Idunn) Included Binding PCs Spoiler Roy Lilina Fir FE6 Bartre Raigh Klein Clarine Shanna Gwendolyn Fae Sophia Cecilia Rutger Thea Lugh Sue Blazing Blade: 19/44 = 43.18% (+3 villains in Linus, Lloyd, Ursula) Included Blazing PCs Spoiler Hector Eliwood Lyn Nino Ninian Karla Karel Lucius Raven Rebecca Legault Florina Jaffar Matthew Canas Serra Priscilla Dorcas Hawkeye Magvel: 11/33 = 33.33%. (+2 villains in Lyon and Valter.) Spoiler Eirika Ephraim Seth Innes Tana Joshua L'Arachel Myrrh Lute Amelia Marisa Tellius: 22/72 = 30.55%. About a third of which (25), a little less with villains and NPCs, are Laguz. I can add more later, and make corrections. Enjoy! List of edits made so far. Spoiler EDIT of 8-21-18: Jugdral representation was miscalculated. To make it more accurate, I boosted the 94 character count for each of the many villains (5- Arvis, Julius, Ishtar, Reinhardt, Eldigan) who have been added- since they're a quarter number of the Jugdrali characters presently in and that 94 counts only PCs. Jugdral now stand with the adjustment at a less dismal 20.20% sans Subs. Still not high, and Thracia in particular still has things very dismal, but Jugdral on the whole is now doing slightly better in percentage than Tellius. EDIT of 9-7-18: Undid the addition of the Jugdrali villains to their unit count, since I added only the villains presently in, leaving out potential additional villains, which therefore by this selective counting inflated the representation percentage a little. Also added the latest Jugdrali quintet, removed them from their appropriate lists, and made some other minor corrections. Edit of 9-13-18: Removed the villains from most game percentage counts and listed them besides the percentage. I added the lists of who are in for some games (will add others later) for my own counting sake as well. Also updated for Nohrian Dusk. EDIT of 1-26-18 Updated for Brave Redux and Rulers of the Laguz. (Despite the passing of three months, not a lot of new additions to account for.) I also added a list of the OCs. And did some other stuff. EDIT of 2-6-19. Added Seasonal and non-Seasonal Alt lists. And crossed off Duma. EDIT of 2-17-19 Added the Beasts of Awakening and Fates. EDIT of 3-6-19 Updated for the Beyond Darkness BB banner. EDIT of 3-23-19 Updated for Regal Rabbits. EDIT of 3-27-19 I forgot Oliver and Tailtiu this entire time! EDIT of 3-30-19 Fixed the Archanea roster- it was 83, not 82. And added Yune, and corrected the included Sword Infantry, Tome Cav, and Breath Infantry lists. EDIT of 5-9-19 Added everything up to Future Past. EDIT of 6-20-19 Added the first set of new Summer alts. EDIT of 8-3-19 Added everything I've missed up to this point. Jingle Jangle
Interesting stuff, I feel that the percentage of Judgral characters (FE5 really) is not a good indicator of being in Heroes. Since a bunch of them have little to no personalty, I find it difficult to be excited when they come in Heroes. Even Archanean characters have more personality than in Judgral. Second, for characters due to reclassing or different alternative weapons they can use it becomes a bit too speculative for some in which they will appear in Heroes as. Venmi
Very nice! This will be great information to have, and a lot more complete than the quick version I put together. I'm female, by the way, if you want to switch "their" to "her". Tellius and Judgral still desperately need more representation...
Kuronga
Wait! I assumed that the total characters of each game is based in total of units of the CYL.... For example... For Fates: 38/84 => 45,23% (Now, if you considere to Bride Charlotte and Heroes Anna here... 40/84 => 47,6%) For Awakening: 28/58 => 48,3% (Now with Heroes Anna, Fates Owain, Fates Severa, Dancer Iñigo, Summer Noire: 56,9%) For Sacred Stones: 13/43 => 30,2% For Blazing Sword: 22/54 => 40,7% (with Bartre and Zephiel: 24/54 => 44,4%) For Seals: 14/64 => 21,9% (with Eliwood, Hector and Karel:17/64 => 26,6%) Edited August 20, 2018 by Kuronga

Some, like Vyland, Tristan, Ralf, and even in RD with Aran, all lack anything to them. It'd be better if they were added quietly as filler units, but I don't see that happening as things stand. Some characters will likely not make it into FEH before it dies, which is understandable. 1 hour ago, Kuronga said: Wait! Adding them decreases the representation percentages of most games. And I didn't rely purely on CYL owing to a few hiccups in its lineup, no Lekain but yes to Amy for instance. Interdimensional Observer
I'm just posting here again to make a point that I am updating my lists from time to time as new characters get added to FEH. Also to make error corrections and whatnot (tell me if you see any). Also, Fates has broken 60% PC representation if my math is right actually Fates is only at 59.42%, one point off. So many characters makes it hard to count straight at night doing this. For a game that is supposed to last for five years, and which still hasn't been two years in, this is quite soon to be doing that. Awakening is trailing in second place at 51%. Valentia, having a small roster and sharing the Whitewings with Archanea, is at nearly half as well. Valentia, having a small roster and sharing the Whitewings with Archanea, is at nearly half as well. There are four ways of solving this issue. Either give more banners to games that have barely touched the surface of their playable roster, give more alts, give less units in general or give more npcs. How many units did Fates and Awakening have at launch in terms of percent?

Interdimensional Observer
After several months, I have returned to updating this list, didn't have a lot of work to do to it actually in terms of new additions. Here is a list of my changes: I added the new five Tellius Laguz, which has allowed the duology to break 20% of its playable representation. Yaaaay a number that should've been shattered a long while ago! I also factored in the three of Brave Redux, which brings SoV to 52% of its PCs with Kliff, and Aversa and Owain brought Awakening to 54.9%. Which keeps it expectedly in second place for total representation. These characters were removed from their respective units-not-in lists and those total counts were changed. For Magvel, Archanea, and Jugdral, I listed exactly who from each is in. Although my list for Jugdral does not count Genealogy and Thracia separately. Elibe also received separate representation percentage breakdowns by game. Binding is despite no additions since Klein as a percentage a tiny bit better represented than Tellius. I added a list of possible Beast units and a separate list of possible Breath units too. And lastly, I added a list of all the Fire Emblem Heroes OCs. Not a list with percentage representation, since the OC count is continually growing, just in terms of sheer numbers. Later, I'll make an update where I will add two lists counting the number of Alts. The first will account for those obtained on Special Heroes (Seasonal) Banners and from related Tempest Trials, the second will be for Alts from New Heroes Banners and Legendary, Brave, and Mythic Banners. Tell me if I need to make any corrections! I want this to be accurate. Edited January 26, 2019 by Interdimensional Observer Edit: I'm going to divide Elibe now. Baldrick
Very comprehensive and detailed list, though there are a few corrections. Eldigan isn’t playable. Zeke and Mycen are missing from the lance cav section. Danved is not Devdan. (Personally, I’d consider him the same situation as Sirius and Severa.) Interdimensional Observer
Well I did a Special/Seasonal Heroes count. I might have missed someone (correct me if need be), but currently it stands at 80. There are more Seasonals than there are PCs in any FE ever. Admittedly, Seasonals are a part of gatcha, and it has been two years of FEH. Non-Seasonal alts stand at 31. Some might be reasonable, others reasonable but poorly timed, and others not at all. I may choose to add lists of what is in concerning weapon and unit types in the future.
Interdimensional Observer
I updated this again. Binding Blade has hit 30% of its roster being in. That is good news. I also added lists of what is in divided by weapon and movement type. Most "ordinary" unit types are somewhere in the teens in terms of numbers. Sword Infantry has 37 sans alts however, and 43 with alts factored in. Making it more than double that of any other category- blame FE's history of sword bias. Other comments are that amongst the Tomes, Color is fairly balanced, with Red having a minimal lead in Infantry, while Blue has a slight edge in Cavalry. Green is the least repped Tome color in these two movement types. Lance Armor is surprisingly of only three canonical members so far and has fewer total units than Axes, despite Lances and Armor Knights going together 80% of the time. I'd pin it on who Armor Knights typically are- unpopular characters. Dagger Cavalry and Armor should get more Seasonals, and Red and Blue Daggers need to be more widespread. As do Colored Bows. Breath Color distribution is fairly even, but Blue Breath Flier does not exist yet. Another Nowi alt? Seasonal Nah? Mila? Naga?

Maybe I'm just annoyed at the suggestion they should go straight to a seasonal when regular Nah isn't even in the game yet... not that it's stopped IS before anyway. Actually, I was just thinking of anyone who could be a Blue Breath Flier and is new and exciting. Everyone presently in who uses Breath sans Garon and Duma has at least one alt. She is one of the still-untapped Breath units, and I was imagining them using her like Noire or Charlotte. This said, Nowi herself still hasn't had a Breath-using alt, nor ATiki when I think about it, I guess they could use them. Lilith would also be a very good fit if you make Astral Breath Blue (Starlight being very bluey in animation means it'd make some sense), and she does have a humanoid form. Seafarer
Couple of corrections for the class statistics: There are 45 Sword Fighters - your list misses Ayra and Nabarl. There are 5 Blue Manaketes - you missed F!Corrin. Also, A!F!Corrin and A!M!Corrin are the wrong colours on your list. There are 5 Green Cavaliers - you missed LA!Lilina. Corrections have been made and documented. This list which claims to be veritable is now more veritable.
Interdimensional Observer
Did another update to these lists after a few months of not doing so. Might have missed something, but just say so if I did.
Zangetsu
How come this thread isn't pin? This a great way to keep track on what's missing in FEH right now.
Interdimensional Observer
And with Swimsuit Ylgr, we've reached 100 Seasonal alts. By the way, whenever it is discovered, somebody tell me how many permanently playable characters 3H has. I won't be picking up the game for a few months myself. So this is how many it took for them to make a seasonal sword infantry. I'm impressed at their commitment to not brush up against saturated classes. I am also not going to pick up the game when it comes out, how do you intend to control the urge to not spoil yourself? I'm going to avoid watching LPs which shouldn't be too hard because I've grown bored of them. I do hope for the next few months, people don't post spoilers on reddit and SF unless the thread is explicitly about Three Houses.
