Satanists Becoming Catholic

Recommended Posts

Pamela Colman Smith illustrated the Waite-Smith tarot deck and almost immediately converted to Catholicism. Similarly, Eliphas Levy, a prevalent occult writer who drew the modern defining image of the demon Baphomet, eventually converted to Catholicism. He said (paraphrased) that an occultist may evoke demons, but a Catholic Priest evokes God Himself, and that magic is essentially over because it can't compete with Christianity.

Now, I'm no papist, but this is simultaneously an extremely strong argument for and an extremely strong argument against the spiritual authority and legitimacy of the Catholic Church.

Kappa kappa no cap.

Personally, I feel that some of the catholic doctrine I have heard of is a bit permissive, but I'm not complaining if I somehow get judged by a permissive system. I've always felt like confession is a bit easy in its bare bones, though of course I guess they do say the repentance has to be heartfelt, even if you do end up sinning again. I'm jewish, however, and am probably going to gehenna since I don't even keep the Sabbath holy.

That sounds terrible, but I may have a solution. Would you like to hear about Messiah?
