  1. Normally I'd remain ambiguous by name, but nobody has been battling me, dammit! DX
  2. I seem to remember getting destroyed by Rock Throw once or twice on Yellow. Low Kick Mankey and Double Kick Nidoran are better options in that respect, though I've been on a streak of remembering things wrong lately so... I'd still recommend the Butterfree as a backup, but I'd not suggest throwing caution to the wind.
  3. While you're there, you can train a bit to prepare for Sabrina, grab the items and stuff inside and come out more balanced, with the Gym Key and be ready when you get back to Blaine's gym. You basically cut out the middle man and collect the stuff early, which means you can avoid going there immediately after getting to Cinnabar when you want the badge and you're balanced off. If you wanna be tricky, you can effectively do it with as few as 3 badges. But that's being tricky and clever.
  4. Most Fire types in the Sevii islands are instead put in Pokémon Mansion on Cinnabar Island.
  5. Some of these are very hit'n'miss. I don't quite like the Unhooded Robin, but the hooded looks great. Maybe it'd pay to have a hooded Robin battle animation set too? Just a personal idea but maybe some of these having mounted variations would also be good. I'd personally like to see a mounted hooded Robin, both using a Tome and a Sword (regular and magic variations). Actually, a Levin Sword would be a missed opportunity to ignore by my personal opinion. Just a thought to consider. I'd like to highlight that whilst Chrom is a lot better than it once was, a rapier variation of what he does now would still fit his style, but having Falchion with a slamming crit animation and a slashing normal animation would be good too. Perhaps combine both for a custom Aether animation, even if it serves no purpose for games it'd still be very cool to see.
  6. If I had to critique myself at Smash, I'd say that's my issue too. The best advice I can think of is to use your predictable moves as a feint and use your opponent's brief confusion as an opening.
  7. Heck, Fates even leaves it ambiguous. I'm certain it's supposed to be entirely based on player choice and preference.
  8. I too hate bees. As well as Wasps, Flies, Moths, Butterflies (don't ask), humans, rabbits and arguments.
  9. Entirely aware that it's Eliwood with a new paint job, I'm wondering if anyone would edit the crit animation and change the attack from a thrust into a jumping slam. It'd be more aesthetic to Chrom fighting with Falchion.
  10. Writing a personal story focusing on my Avatar from Awakening. I'd just clarify this would actually be his skill as opposed to one made for pre-existing characters or the Fates Avatar. Foresight: Double Avo if no Allies within two spaces, Guarantees Dual Strike from Partner if Support Level is A or higher, Doubles the Leader's hit if the partner in a Pair-up. Trigger% = Luck - Magic ÷2. My vision (no pun intended but gladly accepted) is that it'd trigger like Sol when the battle starts but only if it'd have triggered via the trigger rate. Basically the passive traits would always be active but the Partner Dual Striking is locked to the trigger rate.
  11. That's been bothering me for a while and it's put my unease to rest. You have my gratitude.
  12. I'm guessing not. Since both games identify as Fire Emblem Fates. Though I'd not know at all due to having no access to Fates. However since we're on the topic of Fates' DLC, I'd like to add to your question with one I have. Since the Before Awakening reward items are one-time use items, do you get access to reclass back into the classes they provide with a different seal if you reclass out of them or not?
  13. FE6: Roy. His Def Growth is pitiful, and I'm supposed to carry this barely double digit Def to the endgame? Sure he gets decent avoid, but that feels too risky to me... FE7: Nino. Joins far too late to be useful (in my eyes) when Pent or Erk are already present and/or promoted. FE 9: Oscar. I got so RNG screwed on my playthroughs with Oscar that I never got to experience anything pleasant from him, save for carrying Ike or Soren out of trouble early on or carrying extra equipment for them at the points before I completely dropped him. FE13: Either Virion or Miriel. Whilst I was coming to grips with how to play the franchise and just learning everything I could a few years back, Virion and Miriel both kept taking severe beatings from most enemies, and wound up being left behind other more obvious units such as Chrom, or the Avatar. Heck, even Ricken was actually more useful to me than either of them.
  14. Does borrowing a Gamecube Media Launcher from a friend with the ISO file of the game to play on my Gamecube because neither of our laptops can handle Gamecube emulation count as emulation?
  15. I'm sure there are many spriters on the site that are far better than I am that'd be willing to give a tutorial if asked. Perhaps that's something I ought to consider for myself...
  16. I'd like to say they're easy, but they're actually awkward, especially if you don't know what you're doing. If you look at mine, I'm wearing armour instead of the Avatar's regular T-shirt. I made this myself by combining the Dark Knight class with my Avatar, but it took understanding to know how, and I wouldn't say I'm that advanced. I'm a just beyond beginner at best. I couldn't make a custom sprite, that's for damn sure, but I can kinda do simple stuff depending on the level colours used and how difficult an edit may be. For example, the edit I've made is actually pretty simple. All you really need is to erase the T-shirt and line up the right part of the Dark Knight armour with the space that's left, layering the player model over the armour to get the effect you see there. From the looks of it, the image that you have is an already existing image that was adapted and recoloured then had the head replaced with your Avatar's successfully fitted to the neck. Would I be wrong?
  17. I agree with this. I almost ALWAYS run Lifetaker and it only ever fails me if I'm swarmed on Apotheosis. By and large, it's rarely not worth it. Though that may just be me favouring it because I prefer to be a Dark Knight.
  18. Well now that can be your primary focus and nobody needs to worry about the latter. ^-^
  19. Renewal would be a good skill to pass down to Inigo since it's easily available to Libra and it saves Inigo from unnecessary reclassing into War Monk.
