  1. Fair enough but at the time i didn't have disposable income. Since the amount of games i'd get in any given year back were limited i had to decide which games to get. Super Paper Mario wasn't one of them.
  2. I don't know what the problems were with Sticker Star or Color Splash. I'm kind of excited to see paper mario again, now that i have the console to play it. Last time i played it was back in GC era and i skipped the wii era because of how different Paper Mario Wii was. I don't hope for much, but at least the trailer makes the plot seem wacky enough.
  3. In that sense, i could get behind the idea. It would be interesting to give mounted units a few more things to worry about, given how good they tend to be. Specially when it can be so easy to ignore weaknesses in some games.
  4. depends, i'm indirectly answering your question by suggesting taking care of mounts would amount to a sort of simulation game. Which i don't particularly care for in fire emblem games
  5. please, can we please stop making fire emblem games into sim games? I just want to have my turnbased strategy game back. Having mini games and stuff is fine and all, but if you are going to have it make it completely optional, no super op items that can only be obtained through them either. Three houses is a pain in the ass to play through again. Although stuff is skip able, it will severely weaken you to skip shit.
  6. This happened when i was a teen. My brother had asked me to mine something in EVE online for him while he was off working. He showed me how to do it and he would pay me a few bucks for every day i did it. I logged in one day, went to the location he had told me to go and started mining. Now i don't exactly know what happened next, i barely knew how to mine; however, i was apparently warned about something or other most likely not to enter a section of space by npc's. I figured maybe it was just the segment of space the ship had traveled on or something, after all i had been mining this spot for some time now. I decided to keep going, and figured even if i were to get attacked i might still be able to get away . Unfortunately my brother's ship got destroyed in what i assume was 1 shot. I went back to his base in a tiny pod and went logged off. Hoping that maybe, just maybe the ship wasn't destroyed. It remained destroyed. I apparently lost him a lot of in game money and hours due to that. To this day i don't know what happened. But my brother never asked me to mine for him again
  7. that one has nothing to do with coke. Don't confound things
  8. I voted pepsi, because of pepsi man. However i don't really drink or like either one.
  9. If you beat PoR once, you can use a different mode for level ups, where your stats are not determined randomly. This is a really good way to get caps for characters on certain stats, but it can be time consuming (you need to award them 1 exp using bexp till level cap) or be really careful with combat. Also some characters, like Mordecai and speed, will never cap their stats. Even if you use all the available boosts and get a level up point in said stat at every level. I was sad, +2 spd Mordecai would be a fucking beast in part 2 and parts of part 3 Ah, the mode is called fixed mode and here is an explanation of it: https://serenesforest.net/path-of-radiance/general/fixed-mode/
  10. If you have to self-isolate, might as well do it with someone else
  11. There is an easy way if you beat the game. On the unpatched version one of the character's descriptions is the same as another. Don't know otherwise.
  12. Stay home and get paid :V But my job is an essential service so i have to continue working. Honestly, my life hasn't changed much. I'm very much a homebody and as long as i get to take walks i don't think I'll feel too affected. I do miss the occasional friend visit or coffee time.
  13. I tried to do that but i ran out of mana. So i had to keep using the free lancer skill lucky charm on my black mage. In all fairness though, i didn't realize you needed to equip abilities, i thought if you were playing as that class or sub-class you'd get the skills. I learned much later of my folly. I don't think i ever saw that amount of BS but that really sucks. I hope they fix that in the full game. Maybe this was part of how they made the demo tougher?
  14. It's not just maxing out character level. If you max the character's level in PoR, and cap some stats you'll get bonuses for each stat that you capped. I believe the bonus is +2 to each base stat receiving the bonus. Also, yeah Radiant Dawn must have access to the PoR save file. Meaning you have to play on a Wii that has the memory card with PoR attached. You only need to do it once per save file. Once you get the bonuses, you could transfer the save to another system (say your Wii U) and play there.
  15. I took a really long time with the thief. How do you stop the healing? He ran out of mana and thats how i beat him... Also do you mean like 2 turns, but the worm defaults in one of them, and then uses brave points for 4 actions? or do you mean 4 turns meaning it could default 4 times? But yeah the multiple turns in a row is bullshit when you can see it. But i found out it can happen to characters. Elvis did it as a black mage the one time. I defaulted and then right way he got another action. It was still bs though, they should let us see the order. Kind of how Octopath Traveler does it.
  16. I have indeed. He took me many more tries than the sandworm, but I found him easier to survive through defaulting. What would usually get me was getting fucked through the boss gets 1 turn, defaults, next turn is boss again and does 4 attacks in a row. Meanwhile none of my characters are defaulting cause i didn't expect it. I found the strats later on, but i felt they were kinda cheap after slogging through the tree fight. Seriously it took me ~1 hour to finish him off, not counting the attempts.
  17. I must be damn blind. Can't believe i didn't see it, but i guess i didn't look too hard lol I think with enough ethers you could wittle him down fast enough, specially having the buff and debuff stacking. I don't remember how i survived the sandworm, i know i was at max health, but it would always kill my mages. However i think the monk and vanguard could survive it by defaulting. Though i think the time i did it, it came down to luck. If the sandworm did sandstorm 2 times in a row when he did 3 or four attacks it would almost guarantee a wipe, specially if he targetted my monk or vanguard with his spit attack they'd be dead. I ended up getting lucky and managed to survive or avoid that somehow.
  18. I think its meant to stop continued abuse of it. Not that that really stops it from being op. There are videos of people killing the last boss without the boss getting a single turn in. That move is part of the reason why. Turns out the game needs a lot of fine tuning, judging by the strats the mechanics in this game allow. You can stack multiples of the same buffs and debuffs, which makes characters really op. Where does the special ability show up? I thought it would happen automatically or something, or get a very obvious prompt, but i must have missed them whenever they appeared.
  19. I see what you mean for 5. I am definitely feeling it in the last boss with my vanguard. And the fact that provoke only lasts 1 turn and doesn't seem to be guaranteed kinda sucks too. If I fail this round i might switch out the main job for thief and see what difference it makes. BTW do sub classes affect stats or does it just give access to the moves learned? 1 2 and 7 are fine suggestions, but i could take them or leave them to be honest. I do feel like being able to move the camera around a little more, would be useful though. Oh also, can we get a special ability counter? In my time with the demo i couldn't get seth to activate any of the special abilities. Eventhough i kept using the stuff needed to do so. I found that kinda confusing. Also the targeting stat was kinda wonky, despite my white mage having the lowest chance at and my vanguard at 99 my white mage got hit quite a lot in comparison to the other characters. My other 2 characters had it at low 40 and high 40.
  20. I really like some of these suggestions. I have been playing the rest of the game and currently trying to kill the last secret boss... Having 3 would help sooooo much, because bosses can be really cheap and have 2 turns one after the other. So either having either suggestion 3 or 6 would help a lot. Both would be great too, though i don't think both are needed. I find that i can usually survive the default then move combo if I am defaulting. With respect to 5, I am fine with speed being related to how fast your turn comes up as opposed to when your turn will be wrt everyone else. I think if we got to see turn order, this would not be as big an issue. Direct sunlight being 100% accurate would be soooo good. Also just in general having things last for more turns would be great. 4 turns max for protect doesn't feel enough.
  21. I find the combat system rather enjoyable. Although it was quite a lot to get used to at first and had me going back and forth between the world area and the town for quite a while. I ended up basically grinding 2 jobs for each character before i made it to the boss in the ruins. I found myself having to very carefully pay attention to how i went about engaging the random enemies, which i find rarely happens in rpgs. Most often those types of battle take place at end game if at all so that was a welcomed change of pace. The ruins boss was difficult as fuck. I was not ready to have him basically stall me out. Only way i could do enough damage was to have my black mage thundara spam. But that meant running out of MP very fast... so i basically had to wittle him down by defaulting with the black mage every turn, until my Vanguard/Freelancer had enough BP to lucky charm the Black mage for the next 4 thundara's in a row. Meanwhile my monk/vanguard would get lower his magic resistance right before the thundaras happened or just spam attack. White mage basically spammed default and staff of life as needed. However this strategy meant that i was barely doing enough damage to keep up with his healing from Draw Breath. I was doing positive net damage, but it was sloooooow. Finally managed to end it because he ran out of MP. Which i don't think i have ever managed to do in an RPG before. It is a fun system, but i realized after that you have to equip class skills for them to take effect (even if you are playing as the job they come from). 20% mana reduction would have helped a lot, among other things.
  22. I'm all up for bidets. Though not sure i would want them in public spaces. Almost guaranteed they will have shit smeared all over.
  23. I think he means the bidet. How do you know where the water spout is aiming?
