  1. it comes from eating broke ncrest stones. This is in the weapon descriptions of said broken crest stones.
  2. Don't get me started on Corrin. All throughout Conquest a recurring theme is that they want to end the war with as few casualties as possible, except only they are allowed to do that and whenever anyone else tries to do the same thing Corrin will immediately murder them without fail. Kumagera wants to end the war as soon as possible by killing Garon? Corrin kills him and the war continues, claiming countless more victims. Kotaro makes the Hoshidans surender by capturing Kagero? Corrin kills him and all his men instead of just passing through peacefully and not killing anyone. Zola captures the Hoshidan royals, possibly ending the war then and there? Instead of using Xander's authority to postpone their executions, Corrin kills Zola and all his men, postponing the war, leading to all the massacres in the later chapters and killing half the Hoshido royals anyway. I don't think I've ever seen a character undermine their own goal to the same extent before or since, though I've heard things about Nergal and Mafroy that might beat even Corrin.
  3. Doesn't the description of Crest Stone Shard outright say something like "Shard of a Crest Stone that was swallowed by a wolf/bird/worm"?
  4. I think the best character would be Claude on his wyvern. A mediterranean/middle eastern archer with sideburns riding on a white wyvern with a red twintail beard is about as far away from the generic anime sowrdsmen you can possibly get, and I think it would do a lot to help with the Smash players' perception of the franchise. The problem is that If you shrunk his wyvern down enough to fit as a fighter model then Claude hismelf would become really really tiny, which is an issue you would have to work around. I also think Edelgard would make for a fairly good moveset. You could give her a Shulk-like Crest mechanic where you switch between the Crest of Seiros and the Crest of Flames for different buffs. She could also become a lot more mobile than your average slow heavy-hitter with a move based on Raging Storm. She also has by far the coolest Final Smash built into her thanks to her Hegemon form.
  5. The nobles certainly saw him as a tyrant, hence House Hrym's secession and the Insurrection of the Seven. Whether being bad for the nobles is the same as being bad for the people is another question.
  6. Basically this, except I've checked myself multiple times and they can't even find any allergies. My nose just hates me for no reason.
  7. Uh, no, o-phelia is the name of the user who made the quiz. Ophelia is from Fates, not Three Houses.
  8. The four houses in Harry Potter are associated with various personality traits. Gryffindor is bravery, Ravenclaw is intelligence, Hufflepuff is kindness and Slytherin is ambition. I got Ignatz, by the way. "You’re a creative at heart and excel at anything of the sort — whether it be writing or arts and crafts. You’re a hopeless romantic that dreams about starry nights and sunsets, and often find yourself daydreaming or drowning in potential ideas. Though you rarely voice it, it frustrates you when people mistaken your hard work for talent — you spend every waking moment perfecting your craft, and have done so since you were young. You’re truly passionate about your area of expertise, and have no qualms with spending your days wholeheartedly devoted to it."
  9. The only reason I can think of is that he may want her around and under his control in case Loptous does something he doesn't like.
  10. It's uncertain whether that was Bin Laden specifically. It's likely that it was one of his many kids or someone else in the bunker.
  11. I didn't ask for it, but i'm sure as hell gonna make fun of it. As for the next game in the series, I suspect it will do to Echoes' dungeon crawling what 3H did to Fates' home base. Story wise I suspect it will be a sequel to Three Houses.
  12. This. The entire game was made from the ground up with the player taking the role of a teacher. If Byleth doesn't become a teacher, he can't be the player character and must be replaced by someone else.
  13. So much this, though in regards to the Falchion I would point out that Walhart may not want to wield a weapon that he can only wield due to a special lineage that makes him chosen by Duma. I know that Fates is kinda the punching bag for this thread, but I'm gonna suggest something that nobody else here has suggested. I'm gonna suggest that with the exception of Anankos and his undead underlings, absolutely nobody needs to change. Corrin is perfectly fine as is, Mikoto is perfectly fine as is (though she could use some more screentime), Xander is absolutely fine as is, and even Garon is absolutely fine as is (though without Anankos you'd probably have to scrap his slime form, which is a shame because it's one of my favourite boss designs). What I would absolutely do is to restructure the routes. The goal of the game should be for Corrin to defeat Garon, with each route being a different, well, route to doing so. In Birthright he fights against Garon directly even though it means fighting his own family (and the focus should be on said war against his own family, and not "let's go find my missing brothers for seven chapters and then go on a hiking trip through Nohr until we stumble upon the enemy capital." Conquest should be about Corrin, having seen the good inside his siblings, believing that they can be convinced to do the right thing. Over the course of the game Corrin would convince them one by one until they all join together to topple Gron and make peace with Hoshido. Revelation should be Corrin, unable to fight against either side, becoming a vigilante outcast determined to end the war by assassinating Garon. Instead of the route where you recruit everyone, this should be the route where the least people want to join you.
  14. What even is this? The crests have created an unequal feudal society and leads to people being treated like livestock for power plays, but there are people who like studying crests and also aristocrats who like that hey were born with power and privileges over everyone else so it's cool? The heck?
  15. I'm generally referring to what they're wearing around the chest area. Compare the new and old versions of Lance, Erwin, Leon, Ledin and Volkoff.
  16. As someone who's never played one of these games before I really dislike the way the eyes and faces look in the old art. It looks like the worst parts of bad 90's anime. The new art has a really unfortunate tendency to remove people's armor though. I'd say that outside the armor thing the only ones I like better in the old art are Bozer (whose face we can't see) and Chaos (who doesn't have a human face). Old Egbert is also amazing, but probably not for the reason the artist intended. I keep laughing my ass off every time I look at him.
  17. You know that the nature of this game means that once you win nobody actually cares anymore, right?
