Confession time? Alright, we're gonna be here a while. [/cracks knuckles] This is my first FE game, and I must say this: "Where have you been all of my life, Fire Emblem? WHERE?" Currently, I'm playing Normal/Classic. Once I get more comfortable with the game, I'm going Hard/Classual. I really like Chrom's character. At first, I thought he was going to be just another stoic royal, but he actually does have a broad range of emotions - I was impressed. Royals often have this air of being so above everything, emotions included, and that makes sympathizing and bonding with them difficult. Did not have the problem with Chrom. Gods, he is just too cute! I can gush about him all day. But I won't. I'll spare you. I want someone to make a Donny plushie so I can snuggle with him. I'd want a Tharja plushie too, but I'm a little worried about being stalked. Henry. Henry, Henry, Henry. I have a thing for sociopathic/psychotic characters. I've got a whole arsenal of them, actually. And Henry's a beautifully balanced combination of shamelessly cheery and shameless crazy. Although personally, my favorite expression of his is actually the worried one. It's adorable. And I'm glad he didn't get his dark personality deconstructed... I mean, he does have a pretty sad backstory, but it doesn't justify why he's like that. Which is awesome actually. So many people try to give their psycho characters awful backstories to mitigate their actions... so glad that's not the case with him. More gushing! I'm like a battlefield after Chrom's gone through it. Srsly, that guy is ACE. I actually LIKE Cordelia, but only because I made a mistake with her characterization. When I first saw her picture, I thought she was going to be a fiery, confident, tough-as-nails woman to counter the constant stumbling that is our beloved (to some) Stumbles. So whenever I actually met the cast, I was kind of shocked to see otherwise. But for some reason the idea of Cordelia being a hot-head didn't fade away - I think of her as having a serious temper problem, she just stifles it, and uses her rage creatively by channeling it into her hobbies. So now it's no longer "I'm good at so many times without seriously working at it." It's "I'm good at so many things because if I don't work at it, I'll probably turn into the halidom's worst nightmare. Wait. Have - have I just... justified... Severa? ACK, I TAKE IT BACK. Kidding. Severa doesn't bug me THAT bad. Her voice grates me at times and she does come off as an insensitive brat, but there's a sweet side buried underneath that very prickly exterior. Severa = Asuka I wish Gaius was real. Forget the plushie, I wanna snuggle HIM. SUMMER OF BONDS. Both my waifu's are featured in the fanservice? Yes please. Although I wish they'd added Henry and Libra. And some of the second gen kids. Whenever Ricken Dual Guards against a flying unit, his hat blocks the attack. I want that hat. My favorite 2nd generation character is Inigo. Just just - GYAHH. OliviaI'mkidnappingyourchild. [/grabs Inigo and run]

Bolded part is the exact reason I made my Lissa a War Cleric. XD Meme-loving minds think alike! Sage is a REALLY good class for her though. You almost don't have to worry about her.

Unoriginal Vash is unoriginal. I paired Silvia (my main Female Avatar) with Chrom for two reasons: one, I'd actually looked up a bit of the support conversation and found it hilarious, and two, that ridiculously broken family. Gyah. All Chrom and Co. has to do is stand there and decimate everything that's stupid enough to cross them. My main Male Avatar, Silver, ended up with Lissa by accident. I was scrolling through Lissa's possible supports and my finger slipped - no joke. I was laughing the entire time, not because the support was funny (it was, but so cute too!) but because I had just made Silver accidentally break the bro-code. Good job, thumb.

A very happy birthday to you, Silver! Enjoy another trip around the sun! Oh yeah, definitely watch out for reinforcements in Hard. But besides that, it's not painfully difficult... or so I've heard (just got it, still on Normal).

Does pairing him with a high defense unit help at all, like Frederick or Kellam?

I still play it too, I don't blame you. ^_^ And I see your Lissa and raise you a Maribelle, who seems to have forgotten that Kellam can take a few hits on his own, and has blocked almost every attack thrown his way if he didn't have time to dodge. In fact, she blocked three in a row for him. I was quite impressed.

No, it may just be that Grima has taken the Random Number Goddess hostage and is sabotaging your game, because that seems like a serious case of bad luck right there. It's a good build, and his luck stat is fairly high, so I don't fully understand why he's doing so poorly.

Definitely Chrom x Sumia. For all the hype this pairing gets, and all the hints the game throws at you for this being "the most canon" pairing, when I actually read the support, I was crushingly disappointed. I mean, I have no problem with Sumia's characterization, I just loathed the support. Seriously, what is WITH all the pies in this game? No wonder it's nicknamed Pie-re Emblem A-Bake-ining. Second-least favorite support probably goes to Severa x Male!Avatar. It's basically Severa getting things wrong and acting like a spoiled brat about it. While some of her other supports make her far more likable (Laurent, my Gosh - that pairing is diabetes) this one doesn't do her any favors. Male!Avatar seems a bit cockier than usual in this one too. Lon'qu's support with Fem!Avatar was so, so, so touching and cute... until the end. The end just KILLED the mood for me so bad.

The lack of Donnel/Chrom astounds me. I honestly would have loved to have Donny tell Chrom his tales about living on the farm and his secret wish to leave it behind for a while, while Chrom shares his stories about being royal... and his own wish to leave that behind as well. In the end, they both admit that while their dreams comes with consequences, and what they would abandon to retrieve it isn't worth it in the end. And Chrom/Stahl, as well. I don't have an idea for that support yet, but I figured it would be apothecary related. Maybe Chrom wants a hobby? And I want a Virion and Libra S Support, goshdarnit! For some reason I see a great deal of humor involved if Henry and Kellam had a support. Ghost stories abound, haha. And yes, Ricken and Chrom! I was so mad they couldn't support. [/huff]

Oh... that is kind of awkward. In my game, I'm currently working on a three-way best friendship with Fem!Avatar, Chrom and Gaius. I've got Silvia and Chrom to their A support, Gaius and Silvia to C and Chrom and Gaius to B. In chapter 11, I unlocked Chrom and Gaius' A support... which is Gaius taking Chrom out to the red light district. Right before his wedding too.
