  1. Ooh, yeah. My sis said 21 gave her a hard time, but she got through it with most of her units intact. 'Course she plays on Casual, so. She goes through the game a lot faster than I do because she just rushes stuff and waits for them to resurrect. And about the six thing... she at first didn't know Gaius was recruitable, so she just killed him the first time. When she reset and played it back, Gaius rushed Freddy. Yeah, I told her to quarantine him in a corner while Chrom nabs Gaius, then have him dart out and start stabbing. Me, I just made a blockade on the stairs on both sides, had Maribelle on one side and Lissa on the other being the blockade for healing, and just counter-killed everything that touched them. Then swarmed the bottom floor and waited for Validar. No one got NEAR Emmeryn, so I had no idea she could die. I'll just repeat that... although I gotta remember who I used...
  2. I don't mind it, but only because I sort of added some in-between support scenes for them. The writer in me won't stop for nothin', and I tend to play out the scenes in my head so their actions had some depth to it. Poor Silvia, she always ends up in enraged tears at the end of their C support for some reason. My sister has this problem. Three playthroughs and she's still married to Chrom. I'm like, "Gaius? Stahl? Henry? Lon'qu? How are you ignoring them?" And she's just like, "What? Can't hear you over my ridiculously broken family killing everything in sight~"
  3. Apparently, her Frederick hates Gaius and will kill him on sight. And the other thief behind Gaius is also a sneaky dastard and will get in there. I've don't recall having this problem my first playthrough.
  4. Holy - my sister just shared with me some utterly shocking news. Chapter 6 isn't as terrible a map as some others I know. Sure, I have to quarantine Frederick to a corner so Gaius doesn't try to go near him and end up getting a lance to the jugular, but it wasn't that bad. Then my sister got to that chapter on her fourth playthrough and was like, "I FREAKING HATE CHAPTER 6 GRRRR." And I'm like, "It's not that bad, hun, really." And she's like, "Yes it is! Stupid Gaius keeps sneaking past my units and murders Emmeryn!" And I'm like, "Sweetie, you just need a - wait, WHAT." And now I'm on chapter 6 and sweating freaking bullets because of this. DARN IT, SIS I WAS SO CALM AND COOL EARLIER.
  5. Excellent. I need OHKO units though. So I'm guessing a LOT of Sumia and Frederick, because THEY are my OHKO husband/wife team. And Galeforce. Got it~
  6. Teehee. You truly are a thing of beauty, Virion. ^_^ Agreed on Stahl. And gods, the lack of Stahl love baffles me to no end. He's a sweet, laid-back guy who's very attentive and caring, and will do anything to ensure the safety and happiness of the people he cares about. He's also ridiculously adorkable, to-die-for adorable, and very, very snuggable. His stats may be not be as good as some of the other characters, which SUCKS because a lot of the more mediocre character arcetypes got the better stats (sorry Cordelia. I like you, but without that headcanon of mine that I can't seem to get rid of, you ARE rather dull). And Stahl/Kellam/Donnel three-way bro-shop FOR THE WIN.
  7. I've been avoiding Tiki's paralogue like the plague... the stupid part of my brain is tempted to try it. Although I really shouldn't, because if my sister had trouble with that paralogue (my sister with the Avatar that walks onto the battlefield, opens a tome and watches everything that touches her spontaneously fail to exist) then I may just be royally screwed. Then again, said sister doesn't actually have a strategy. Her strategy is "throw Aresa in front of them and laugh maniacally when they die. Rinse, repeat, with an occasional Dual Strike from waifu Chrom". >_> I'm not touching that paralogue without a strategy. Must. Think.
  8. Gods, I know. Fortunately, I had Ricken and Assassin!Gaius and Archer!Chrom to wipe them out in a heartbeat and a half. Bows for the win! Although I STILL don't know what I was thinking when I made Chrom an archer. He kicked butt at it, naturally, but seriously, I must have gone all right-brained when I made that decision.
  9. 14! The boat one. They bait you with those armored units and then the mages file in behind. Freaking fudge sauce, that almost got me my first playthough.Thank god for my boy Ricken and his staves. [/snuggles Ricken]
  10. They're aren't? I could have sworn... Gyah. I know that there's a main storyline chapter with both armored units and mages, so you have to be really careful with Cherche.
  11. Hah. Good one Nintendo. I see what you did there. Chapter 12 is the one where you recruit Cherche, right? That one is pretty jarring if you really want Cherche, which most do because she steamrolls anything in armor with that hammer of hers. It has just enough armored units to make you want to keep Cherche in front and JUST enough mages to make your regret your decision if you do.
  12. Ohmygosh, YEEAAHHH! You're awesome. :D
  13. NOOOO NOT HENRY. [/sniff] Oh, Gods, and you lost Chrom's wife. Yikes. -_-
  14. Gracias! I'll remember that next time, thank you.
  15. It is? Well, my swordsmen have god-awful movement on that map. The only people who can navigate are Silvia, Lissa, Ricken, Sumia, Tharja, Libra, Miriel and Cordelia (Nowi's movement gets an honorable mention because it doesn't suck at first, but the more you move her the worst it gets). Can't even use Kellam here and Kellam is my super-duper knight-tank destructobot.
  16. Chapter 5... that's the... OH. THAT MAP. I completely feel you. Oh hey guys. Who could forget the DESERT chapters. ESPECIALLY NINE. So the chapters I have to use my flying units is the one where you add sneaky bowmen, huh? Screw you too, Plegia.
  17. WE LIKE IKE! WE LIKE IKE! WE LIKE IKE! Oh, and cute! While I'm typing this, Ike comes up in the little glowing symbol thing at the top of the page. Irony is ironic.
  18. So am I. Chapters with reinforcements tend to sway the RNG towards their side.
  19. Just to let you know that I'm watching your playthrough for ideas/strategies and cheering you on. My next playthrough will probably be on Hard so here to both of us not failing spectacularly! (I'm probably going to regardless. :D) [/waves pom-pom] Go Mercury, go!
  20. I KNOW. I'm like, "Chrom, STOP IT. You already made me cry during Chapters 9-11, now STOP. I am NOT going to protect a bunch of brain-dead villagers..." Next paralogue: "Damn you Chrom, these villagers are idiots and you're making me protect them." For true pain: try protecting the villagers in Gerome's paralogue. FFFFFFFFUUUUU -
  21. I know. I usually don't bother even saving them, unfortunately.
  22. What the flying French FUCK, Awakening? Whose idea was it to make a map filled with little islands and suspension bridges and then throw a bunch of bowmen on a map when the recruitable character is a WYVERN RIDER?! ARGH. Okay, let's rethink this one....
  23. Second that! It would be great to get this information and fix some of those support guides out there and I'm very glad you're doing this.
