  1. Chrono Trigger and Dragon Quest, for the same reason toriyama's art style is one of my least favorite's from any game artists ever. just seeing the sea of generic goku ripoff characters is annoying to me
  2. true, but this isn't about taste, it's about marginalization of the arts feel free to not like musicals, but their effect on pop culture cannot be ignored. just look as far back as singin' in the rain
  3. Incorrect, there is no trollingIf you actually knew my tastes, you'd know that I literally only care about musicals like Hamilton/Wicked/Comet/Falsettos/etc. My life is literally a musical, and statements like "life isn't a musical" upsets me personally since it marginalizes the arts and the effect they can have on others Moana absolutely deserved the Globe. Cravalho and Johnson are excellent together, Lin-Manuel Miranda's songs are excellence, it's actually a diverse movie about POC instead of trying to make an animal allegory. I believe that Disney movies should end with a happily ever after though. I know that people can be independent and not need love, but that's not as magical. Disney movies without true love will never have moments like the lanturns scene from Tangled. I do think that Elsa should have a love interest, male or female, though I'd like Elsa to be lesbian for diversity's sake.
  4. except life is a musical where all your dreams come true, just ask golden globe winning movie la la land
  5. why do people like zootopia anyway there's not even any singing it's just a movie that tries to tackle racism with animals but there are much better racism based movies. there are better buddy comedy movies alone everyone knows it's not disney unless it's a musical smh. even the lion king had singing
  6. I love Princess and the Frog, Tangled, and Moana. I like Frozen. Wreck-it Ralph and Zootopia are okay, and Big Hero 6 is uninteresting. I think this is another Golden Age, but Disney's princess movies are the best anyway. Moana, Rapunzel, and Tiana are all such wonderful leads.
  7. i haven't paid attention to this game since sephiroth, but what happened to alexandria at this rate, i expect laguna or yuna next. it's not time for another newcomer yet, and we just had two villains. the pattern so far is new character, old villain, old villain, old hero
  8. I typically dislike characters who are popular. Popular characters are typically annoying, with the exception of Tharja. My favorite characters in the series are Miranda, Fiona, Meg, Jeorge, Astrid, Leonardo, Micaiah, Pelleas, Tharja, and Henry. Masculine units, male or female, are a total turn-off to me. I'm fine with more masculine units regardless of their gender, but softer characters are better. Low skill is typically my biggest issue with units. Bad hit rates can ruin everything else. I don't care much about classes, though I really enjoy Tellius Cavaliers, Archers, Pegasus Knights, Curates, and Knights. I like prepromotes and typically hate Ests. The only Ests I like are Pelleas, Miranda, and Est. Nino is the worst. I love Donnel, Meg, and Fiona, though none of them count as Ests because they come so early. One last thing is that I'm biased towards the Dawn Brigade and I hate the Greil Mercenaries.
  9. The supports idea is pretty terrible ngl. What if you want to use a character but not those catalysts? That character is locked out of all their other supports for no teasons. It's also needlessly tedious, because grtting to A in this game isn't a super easy process. Leo and Charlotte don't even care about need each other for Pair-Up purposes, so that's inconvenient. I think most supports now are fine, people just expect too much from basic conversations. And when the game tries to go into other topics like food, people complain. Learning a character's favorite food means more than having them pointlessly develop forever.
  10. People probably shouldn't be allowed to comment without having at least some basic knowledge of how to play competitively. Remember, PEMN. I like Marcia more than Tanith, but Tanith is much easier to use in many ways.
  11. Most things. Mainly Lucky Star and Hamtaro, but I have no use for subs.
  12. I find Meg and Fiona to be deeply satisfying to use, if that means anything unpopular. I'm normally not a big fan of units that need heavy babying, but the two of them are so charming and they have great designs.
  13. It's mainly from Path of Radiance, such as Chapter 14's "Makalov" conversation, where he treats Makalov like complete garbage for comedy's sake. In the conversations with Jorge and Daniel, he shames them for basically just playing a chess-type game. He has little patience in the main story, unlike most other main Lords who typically let the eccentric people pass. In Radiant Dawn, Ike offers no mercy to any of his former allies, which is remarkably heartless. Compare him to Marth, who goes to almost extreme lengths to get back friends from Shadow Dragon. Ike doesn't even have a conversation when fighting Meg, and Meg is literally a 12 year old girl. as for the second thing, I find royalty to be more interesting for the focus of a game. I don't enjoy rags to riches or coming of age stories, so Path of Radiance is particularly annoying. Honestly, I only really like the Dawn Brigade because I find them so much more interesting than the Greil Mercenaries, though some characters like Astrid and Kurth are good too. I guess an unpopular opinion I have is that I couldn't care less about "world building." As long as we have enough information about where we currently are in story and the locations are varied, I don't care how they fit together. Awakening and Fates were both good enough on the world front for me. I'd like some more aesthetic diversity from Awakening though, but Fates is nice and diverse with its locations.
  14. I think Ike is awful and the worst protagonist in the series. He's a complete tool who has a disgusting "too-cool" attitude. Unlike actually cool protagonists like Eliwood, Ike is terrible to others. Micaiah hating him only makes her even sweeter in my eyes. Micaiah being special is a good thing. Protagonists are only interesting if they outshine everyone else in their cast in some way or another. Otherwise, they're only the protagonist by chance. That's another reason why vanilla, no-special-qualities Ike is so terrible. He only leads due to nepotism.
  15. I'm not attracted to Camilla, but her outfits are always rockin'. People get so caught up in pointless realism and fail to realize that being fashionable like Camilla is more important than having a full outfit.
  16. Literally every region has fiction tropes. This is such a nebulous thing to complain about. Why would children characters bother you? Iris was well done, and the original Watson would have been boring and unnecessary. Susato is serious, Holmes is quirky, and so on. Watson would have been terrible. You constantly complain about Ace Attorney's modern direction, but the series has literally always used those tropes. Sounds like you're looking in the wrong place for your entertainment.
  17. But honestly, does it matter that much? Lots of things go into a game and disliking parts of the gameplay doesn't stop someone from liking the game. I can think of Sonic 06, which had bad gameplay but a lot of interesting elements.
  18. All you ever have on the topic is the exact same points. We get that the morality and logic on Conquest is pretty awful, but why do you feel the need to shut down anyone posting positively at all? That one poster was just saying how they felt, it didn't call for an itemized list.Conquest's plot is truly terrible, but can we not let random people say that they liked about it without getting a checklist of reasons why to hate it?
  19. Rebels and The Clone Wars are the new EU. Thrawn himself has been retconned into Rebels itself. [spoiler=Minor Rogue One spoilers]Two Rebels characters are either mentioned or appear in Rogue One. Likewise, Saw Gerrera was in Clone Wars beforehand.
  20. That was a pretty terrible reason. It was a racing game, how hard would it have been to keep Bayonetta in? It's not like anyone else in the game does any super dynamic things. Of course, the game skipped Billy Hatcher, so it's full of bad decisions. And they couldn't have Bayonetta, but the Team Fortress 2 team is cool? Kiria doesn't wear zipper panties, what on earth are you talking about?TMS has one sexualized character. One. And that's Kiria. Tsubasa has big boobs, but who cares? That's just a fact of life. You could make an argument for Maiko, but Maiko isn't even a playable character and she's dressed pretty appropriately. You just sound incredibly biased here. TMS is relevant and seems to have a good chance of getting a sequel.
  21. Ephraim wasn't even the most advertised character of Sacred Stones, and he's completely irrelevant. Tsubasa is currently in, and she has lots of different attacks that could make an interesting moveset.
  22. I really like Archanea/Ylisse, mainly because it's the first and you really can't beat the first. It's a really interesting setting. I love Thracia, though the rest of Jugdral is pretty boring. Thracia 776 does an amazing job of fleshing out parts of Jugdral that felt barren. Lastly, I really like Nohrshido or whatever that continent is called. I have a soft spot for it even though it isn't really anything special. We didn't even learn the continent's name, so I guess I just really like the mystery.
