IS are curiously against giving the Avatars a set design too, to the point of them being the only playable characters not to have official art, even though they had no problem with giving FE12's MUs official art, even though very few characters had any for that game.

The Avatars DO have default appearances and names though. Sakurai could go with that. And different hair colors are already used as part of the other characters' alternate colors.

Then half the point of Avatar would be kinda gone. I'm not fond of the mechanic, but it's unique point is customization. Using the default appearence on top of being kind of ugly without the small body type takes away their reason for being the way they are. Same for stats.
