I guess. But for one, hand axes aren't reliable in this game because lol50hit. Second, Lott's competing with Rutger and Dieck for Hero Crests - and he flat out loses there. Granted, Dorothy doesn't have it much better, though.

Dorothy's outclassed by Shin and Sue less than the fighter dudes are outclassed by Rutger and Dieck. She's just a bow user without a horse, but still a bow user for when you need chip, accurate attacking across the wall and wyvern walloping. Rutger is an obvious one, making bosskill strats reliable (though he could use more strength on average) and overkill against mooks, while Dieck just laughs at Lott's claim to being the durable unit the party supposedly needs (huge defensive gain on promotion, better base stats and immediate combat, later on sword rank for bosskilling).

Lott is probably what you'd have if you somehow fused Dorothy with Dieck though (iron bows + hand axes + bulk).

Yeah, the exp gain slows down at some point (though in C4, Rutger's group is just weaker and is generated without HM bonuses... not sure if this is an explanation to the low exp they may or may not provide though), which is why bringing up even one of Lance or Alan in HM LTC is kind of a lost cause. The Western Isles give quite a bit more in that regard though.

Basically, I'm saying that Wolt's lucky that there's actually a use for bows in his game (wyrmslayers are rare as heck and generally better saved for manaketes), as opposed to Rolf, who happens to be in a game where effective damage is only double Mt, and the fact that when the first op for bows to get effective damage in said game comes up, you have something else that does the job better.

Oh, right, the effective damage multiplier. Still, Wolt is not that much better than Rolf, even if the game likes bows more. Look at that chip. 2 damage out of like 28 hp cavaliers is a 14HKO. And he got a str level up before. Which means he would've been 28HKO'ing. At least Rolf can 5HKO or some shit.

I'm not gonna deny Wolt's awful, but a level 1 archer joining 1/3 of the way through the game - and at a time I can ill afford to baby one, at that - is just bad. Also, most of what Rolf can actually do anything resembling damage to is stuff that's generally fragile.

Rolf in casual can have bexp pooled into him and nearly one shot ravens at the boat if not outright murder

True, but even in casual play, Rolf's join time's a pretty big detriment. But that's just me. Especially since I'm prone to use Mist, Marcia, and Ily, all of whom would like BEXP to get going.

I lost my first run of the map because of reinforcements that pop out from here, but I don't make the same mistake twice! Bors and Wolt got owned in that run.

The 3 Mercs are finished off by these guys. Since Lance will now be in range of a Hand Axe Fighter near the boss area, I have Lugh swap his weapon to a sword.

On Hm after you pass the point shortly after you start you get a lot of more enemies to deal with

Also when Cath pops up on turn 5 as well as some when you open certain doors 2 turns after they are opened

Wtf, how do the Ch6 reinforcements even work?

Which ones? The ones that appear at your starting positions? Or the other guys?

At any rate, I couldn't help but notice the Beyblade mention.

The rear-spawners have an inverse trigger point: when you end your turn with nobody in the area they show. Leave a deadweight behind and they're harmless.

The ones that spawn beside Wagner are dickspawns that were added to Hard Mode. They show up on Turn 8 and every 4 after that until you kill him.

The first was because Saul and Lugh were in the boss room in Turn 8. Lugh dodged and survived, but then Saul got owned by the 2 archers.

The second one was because now enemies appeared in the back near the starting position in Turn 6 (it didnt happen in the first, so I was raging a lot) and they killed Shanna and Clarine because I wasnt looking. Wasn't expecting it at all so I left them there.

Welp, I looked at FEwod now thanks to you...so much for going in blind.

EDIT: I like how I said turns and not runs. Me and my turns...
