1. Not without a lot of rewriting. There's only space for 50 player units, 50 enemies, and 18? allied units in WRAM; the 51st player unit would overwrite the enemy units. You're just going to have to deal with 50, sorry.

  2.
psBcrrC.png

Klok said he beefed up Lyon and the Demon King, so I did as recommended: I made a separate save in case I need to grind.

Little does he know that team Trifecta of Terror needs no grinding!

    Ok, maybe just a little.

    x4ii7za.png

Small team. Myrrh and Cormag sit this one out.

    oVI2OtB.png

    A nice level...

    xSrndY2.png

...that he doesn't get to keep. Goddamnit, Knoll.

Deaths: 7 (Gilliam, Fado. Cormag, Knoll (4)).

    Ah5cUDT.pnguu7uaAQ.pngf6Frl9q.pngNm0z5nj.png

    W9xNNJy.png

Not too shabby all around. I could have taken the short route, but i decided to take the scenic tour, see the monsters, get some weapon ranks...

    HPkTjLo.png

    Poison bonanza going on here.

    BDBHN6f.png

    Eh.

    2V9zGWm.png

Using the hatchet makes Gerik have an identity crisis, it seems.

    eVtK4Fs.pngeVtK4Fs.png

Good and not too good, but whatever.

    FeXVzBS.png

A nice weapon, and...take a look at where Amelia ended up.

    YKAWv1C.png

That's right! Right in Riev's range! I forgot a) he moves, and b) he flies, so no terrain penalties.

    La3cN69.pnggu22W9D.png

And yet, he does precisely jack shit because Great Shield proc'd both times.

Have I mentioned I love generals?

    m9E1qX6.png

Amelia just can't catch a break, it seems.

    ghLKoIF.png

Some poor fool attacks Joshua and gets wrecked, capping his hp in the bargain.

    UzGSJuM.png

Ok...we got a situation here not dissimilar to last chapter. The only problem is, Joshua is off to the southeast...

    Wh7ggSk.png

Well, not anymore. Lute pulls the warp staff out of storage and warps him into triangle position.

    1OyFhtW.png

Unfortunately, this bloody Maelduin's in the way, and Amelia can't double it or OHKO it.

    UipuQP9.pngUzb5IwP.png

But if you look closely at the previous picture, you'll notice that Neimi and Joshua are conveniently in a triangle attack position already.

I am so good at this game.

    DZ2Nprg.pngyD5mpAc.png

Gerik gets traded the dragon axe, and removes the last obstacle from the power of triangulation...

    cloqxzl.pngfOWJ5Bx.pngjK3XlYe.png

And with that, the primary threat of this chapter is dead.

    O7uHzvU.pngMnzD79L.pngKOcb4Pj.png

Some cruddy levels and Amelia-Franz C support.

    FTzzzio.png

    Infinite shadowshot is annoying.

    cLrMadc.png

Joshua dares Morva to do his worst whilst taking out a magic eyeball.

    fkDyXXy.png

Morva, alas, does do his worst.

    6YjgAX4.pngoosF7YY.pngVDK66Ff.png

Some time later, Gerik chips with his iron bow and Knoll noms the dragon for an ok level and...

    R16pqzW.png

    A wretched air?

    Hmmm...

    ASw0bpd.pngLwk4avM.png

Neimi and Amelia get a C support, and I seize in a timely manner.
ZObQTYn.pngGh7Bok8.png

I think Knoll just got slightly OP. And yes, it does negate defenses.

    XuykDDe.pngGyshg23.png

Against this, it might be necessary, though.

    ZCRwRHT.png

The usual team, plus Cormag and Sucky Kyle the forced lord. He won't be doing anything (except maybe tanking some shadowshots).

    Ia3xtFA.png

    Another lousy level.

    4ftHYi4.png

I realize these dracozombies are a bit more challenging than they used to be.

    8O2rQgB.png

Spiderbreath still falls to undead dragonbreath, apparently.

    oXx04vO.png4JFn11Y.png

So he goes and eats a gorgon instead, and gets an even lousier level.

    nRFbqzv.pngy0mmbJz.png

I don't feel like dealing with healing up that damage, so triangle attack it is.

    bXCtGYX.png

See, Knoll? You could learn from this.

    4eZiTYO.png

Not sure who this is going to.

    zNxTt9A.png

Not actually going to complain about this.

    daAQrNn.pnghbvUMPV.png

    Or these.

    2wPfZAH.png

I reserve the right complain about this one. Curse you, Joshua! You were supposed to be better than this!

    FC2tPTE.pngT12GnGG.png

The thought of petrification doesn't sit well with Gerik.

    1kmpulJ.png

    All gorgons must die.

    rKWCDmW.png

This is the point where I realize wretched air is 1-2 range.

    p5r1CBJ.png

If you use it at 2-range, however, it freezes the game.

    2SMFcsa.png

Neimi gets S lances, so she can wield Vidofnir.

    r48jYbS.png

    Not bad.

    Tk6jqsn.png

Uh...this is going to be a tough fight.

In hindsight, a barrier staff would have helped greatly here.

    nvDhVVw.png

To add insult to injury, Naglfar poisons.

    3FKdfcW.png

    Sod off and die.

    EF2ol5F.pngFNqHpv5.png

    I'm ok with these.

    loQ7vZj.png

Oh, wretched air also has the devil effect. Wonderful.

    B9QcPo4.png

Amelia gets S axes, and can now wield Garm.

    ZPYwUqn.png

Franz likewise gets S bows and Niddhogg.

But guess what? None of these are effective against Lyon. Near as I can tell, only Luna or Wretched Air will do the trick.

    XSUSyxr.png

So I say fuck it all.

    gILWY3z.png

    I tried. I really did.

    zRv9gml.png

I wanted to play by the ru-holy crap, where have you been hiding this talent all this time?

    kJtUIBO.png

As I was saying, I wanted to play by the rules.

    7xd4UOC.png

    But the rules weren't cooperating.

    IUZAzHt.png

    So I broke them.

    TNyt5IW.png

I broke them all. (This doesn't absolve you of this level, Joshua.)

    044oz3k.pngFHGGGlJ.png3fLtKJV.png

Demon King is so powerful, he glitches stuff with his sheer presence.

    OWFuR7g.png

    ...Ok?

    D8kZ7Gw.png

Yep. Demon Light is uncounterable. That makes this easier, I guess?

    6Kl9Yhm.png

    But you know what?

    HCTfGhr.png

Frankly, I'm just not in the mood.

    XnKwDpd.png

    Fin.

Deaths: 7 (Gilliam, Fado. Cormag, Knoll (4)).

    Thanks for watching!

  3.
0t110Ea.pngryd9Tm5.pngh2PBA9p.pngYHes1HH.png

    tk0St7m.pngYCIN6uI.pngrbU9JTt.png

I finally get around to using those statboosters that I've had lying around for a while. I decided that if Knoll was going to be a permanent part of the team, he needs to shore up his defenses a bit.

    SKkPiWY.png

The usual (nowadays, at least) gang.

    AoMRamS.pngV7GUdgT.png

    Kill eggs, get good levels.

    wrp9EMY.png

Holy fuck, that is a messed up background.

    CXsUWAs.png

Gorgons and their infinite shadowshot are a tad more annoying now. Franz misses twice here, failing to kill the thing.

    K6YxhuO.png

As if that wasn't bad enough, Stone is ALSO infinite. Sigh.

    EVFKouW.pngOKjh3fC.png

For once, the rng tilts in my favor (ok, more than once; that crit on Lyon last chapter comes to mind). Alas, Joshua gets petrified.

    ewpUmzQ.png

And then the offending gorgon gets fried by a fire tile. I kinda wanted the exp, but...oh well!

    2s9sctM.png

Here are generic gorgon stats, by the way. Nothing terribly threatening except for the strength, which isn't even that high (thankfully).

    3G01Ly4.png

    A cure for stoning.

    HhLJzAB.png

    Not too shabby.

    502sRVA.png

I forgot this was a thing. It's unfortunate that there's no indicator which tiles are disabled, so if you don't remember where you stepped, tough!

    62QT4tY.pngxywTGp9.png

Levels from killing eyeballs. Neimi is on a roll!

    peQaZ38.png

I forget; did the boss move in vanilla SS? I thought it didn't, but here, it did. Fortunately, it's not terribly threatening.

    m9MqbHL.pngBkzWR3M.png

Franz chips and Knoll kos for a good level.

    9tQqszA.png6GDP2nJ.pngxVwohAO.png8FsKEll.png

The rest is just finishing off the remaining eggs, and netting a healthy chunk of xp. Fun chapter.
Whoo boy. This is the part where things get...interesting.

    GVTi5ib.png

Here's our guys. Myrrh's sitting this one out; there's not many magical enemies, and her low defense/hp means she will get destroyed.

Normally, I like to wall up and let the enemy come to me, getting good exp and some nice items. This time, I know that's not an option. We're going to hit hard, and we're going to hit fast, and finish this chapter ASAP. The greenies haven't been buffed or anything, so they're going to be worse than useless because they'll charge out with their uber-move and get themselves killed. Dumbasses.

    Ikin5Jz.png

First, Cormag goes out the northwest side and uses the torch, revealing...

    YkCaO7X.png

Fun. At least these shouldn't be too bad.

    z8haJTp.pngbWftm0q.png

At least, they wouldn't be, if my guys could actually HIT! Knoll gets doubled, but one of the hits reverses, fortunately.

    Bn3CYSx.png4t9WWHu.png

    Amelia shames them both.

    1k7P75Q.pngiJUA4ah.png

    Fuck your luna.

    hgZ7aPd.png

Set up a wall to protect the greenies.

    IZVzenn.png

Everyone's moved towards Riev. End turn.

    ftifS3x.png

Enemy knights have craptastic strength, fortunately, so they don't do much. They still double, though.

    5MPsR77.png

    Ditto with the fighters.

    rAhjFln.png

The generals aren't very threatening, but they ARE tanky as hell. They even have pretty high resistance.

    iIwupMX.png

The other luna druid that we didn't kill attacks Neimi and pays the price.

    h3ykWZq.png

The knights might not be able to hit, but the enemy druids certainly can.

    Gj047Fv.pngZv12c0b.png

On Allied phase, the two knights I saved near the entrance decide to show their gratitude by getting in my way. The swordmaster didn't kill his, but the general did (thankfully, otherwise I would have been stuck).

    PkyCoR4.png

Back on player phase, Franz drops the ball again with another 80% miss.

    7gOldHW.pngDXzB3ZL.png

Neimi and her capped skill don't care about WTD and rid me of this annoying general, netting a brave lance for the pile.

    g0ucl5L.png

Joshua pulls a heavy spear out of storage and uses it to OHKO the other general.

    dEEj7eC.png95HTWV2.png

This swordslayer has been a boon, seriously. Brave sword gives +5 defense, I believe.

I savestate here and move Cormag down to get a look at what Riev looks like.

    9jrBw6A.png

    Uh-oh.

    EPAOpRt.png

    UH-OH.

    46zGSPk.png

    UH-OH.

    This is going to be...difficult.

    K3XeA5p.png

And not only does it give insane bonuses, it's freakin' BRAVE.

    Thankfully, it's not 1-2 range.

    r6msFQr.png

    More speed is always appreciated.

    jeu5P61.png

Anyway, here's how things stand. Vanessa almost died on EP, but luckily dodged a 76 hit

    OsdPAbx.png

First plan: Franz pulls Garm and the warp staff out of storage. It's time the sacred weapons got to see some use.

    h54GohZ.png

Vanessa gets them from him, and then...oh, right, she already used her trade this turn. RETRY!

    FFGa6NO.pngxQIstRW.png

Ok. Amelia kills the swordmaster, and Knoll retrieves Garm and the warp staff.

    73PozDf.png

Franz takes Garm and runs 1 space away from Riev.

    FOlMI9V.png

Vanessa takes the warp staff and warps Gerik to that spot...

    7T32lSQ.png

Joshua runs over for support bonuses (in hindsight, I could have just retrieved Garm from storage with Joshua and traded it to Gerik here, thus freeing up Franz).

    LtT13dl.png

    Gerik retrieves Garm...

    4wJCLnS.png

...Oh. Right. Sacred weapons aren't effective against manaketes. RETRY AGAIN.

    ImvGeys.png

Same strategy, but this time he pulls out the dragon axe instead of Garm. Aaaaand it still isn't enough. RETRY FOR THE THIRD TIME.

    V1qehSx.png

I figure I'm not going to kill Riev this turn, so I'm gonna get rid of these guys and make a wall.

    KWN8hg7.png

Lute heals up Vanessa and gets A staves. Unexpectedly nice, actually, since she can warp too now.

    0VCzBOX.pngos8SmYN.png

Joshua with a horselayer will choke the point, since I know most of the enemies there have horses. Gerik will move in for support and take out this great knight as the same time.

Everyone else kinda walls off the east side.

    eZe2tGC.png

Luck strikes again: Amelia proc'd Great Shield here, which saved her from death since this guy doubled her.

    9B76qnr.png

    Appreciated, but ultimately unnecessary.

    VPFiJOw.png

I WAS hoping to loot the speedwings at the bare minimum, but nope; Cormag's also been relegated to chokepoint duty. I didn't show it, but 2 archers decimated the green knights up there and were in position to kill Mansel on the next EP (ie, now), so I moved Cormag in. The knights can't hurt him, and he can only chip them, so it's perfect. At least, until the enemy's smart enough to, ya know, walk around.

    eriSpVF.png

Down here, things have gone from bad to worse. The first enemy to attack Joshua was a warrior. Joshua *could* have killed it, but missed one of the attacks due to WTD, meaning no one else got to attack. Therefore, there's a mess of enemies around Riev that I need to clear out before I can do anything.

    Iay3LsF.pngI2NONb1.png

The magical shortbow saves my ass, allowing Franz to kill this warrior, and get a shitty level.

    JY102AY.png

    Next, Joshua OHKOs this paladin.

    1s9madN.pngkQHx8kE.png

Lute pulls out the dragon axe from storage and takes out the ranger.

    s0cVegL.pngSzj2kXH.png

Vanessa pulls out the warp staff and sends Joshua on the other side of Riev. I think everyone can see where this is going.

    gff7doh.pngBqifLbt.png

Just getting in some exp, 'cause fuck these bastards.

    XTBqoVY.png

Amelia has higher strength than Neimi, so she gets the honor...

    y29Mpy6.png

    ...of killing Riev.

    EfX9i3I.pngCyzjtXe.png

    "Fucking hackers!"

Deaths: 6 (Gilliam, Fado. Cormag, Knoll (3)).

  4.
l0sDkk2.pnghNCFn0H.png

Our Myrrh replacement isn't a prepromote, and while she doesn't look bad, I already have Franz. Sorry.

    Ts0EgUP.png

We begin closer to the action than on Ephraim route.

    hX2lwUb.pngII5IB8P.pngRVHj7pL.png

Looks like SOMEONE got a hefty stat boost. As you can imagine, I won't be stealing that red gem, because my thief(ves) sucks balls.

On the other hand, I laughed at Purge's 1 use.

    bJ6GZI8.png

Nothing new here. He'll be a pushover with the swordslayer.

    I7wDMn1.png

For a one-statter, I'm not going to complain too loudly.

    8s7zD55.png

    CHARGE!

    UcibBCm.png

    CHARGE MORE!

    hF9ZFBx.png

Gerik wrecks a knight and caps HP.

    FdpXvtE.pngVyXswks.png

I remember Luna is actually threatening, and send some people down to take care of the issue. Myrrh gets A swords.

    lkpiO4m.png0E8HfrI.png

So, not only does that sage have maxed speed, allowing him to double with freaking BOLTING, it's also brave.

On the other hand, it does no damage, so Lute's just gonna tank it for a bit.

    MNMjQjC.png

Meanwhile, Purge has an eclipse effect.

    u5TsGgN.png

Myrrh nearly dies to a few mages.

    Mpr40nT.pngcj1hYOO.pngOf5R6sw.pngc849oHW.png

Reinforcements, and there's quite some disparity between them. Odd.

    dhVNwXf.pngPfmDruh.pngcvPcbYM.png

The last of the shamans falls to the combined might of Gerik the Fabulous and his pet giant spider, who gets a good level.

    NlNraG6.png

Neimi, not to be outdone, gets an even better level chipping a warrior.

    vPzteJI.png

Franz decides getting good levels is too mainstream and gets no stats up!

    EDwNT5z.png

Hooray. I can poison my enemies too now.

    zm5Zt2X.pngFB1J26Q.png

No more healing the enemy, you wanker.

    netkx2d.png

Uh...fuck that. Back to a savestate.

    MhZgeFR.pngB7CYVYV.pngbccvXyW.png

Things happen a bit differently; I think Neimi got the same one, but I can't honestly remember.

    rBlnm73.png

I now have (inadvertently) a Latona user. Excellent. I didn't realize she had such a high staff rank.

Also, Klok meant to make Flux an E-rank tome, meaning I could turn her into a nosferatu/luna user. But I won't, because I'm not going to break the game THAT much.

    DeRY4uW.png

See those heroes behind Gerik's portrait?

    XUimBBA.pngG8i9R8Y.pngs3mtOsD.pngD5lV9X7.pngpn1a9FF.png

    Not anymore, you don't.

    frNOHio.png

Divine is yet another eclipse weapon.

    4nB7PfQ.png

The power of the iron axe is too much for this uber-sage.

    hHqQNbL.pngMcv5KgE.png

Ok, I guess Neimi didn't get that level earlier.

    9qMDIUD.png

An enemy thief spawns and immediately attacks Lute. It turns out to be a very bad idea.

    QdxHses.png

Orson: "Hah! Your hit rate is pathetic! What do you hope to do with-"

    w4Jw7nm.pngACV7qOq.png

    "-...fucking hackers..."

    bhCAkJu.png6a6MS4N.pngAYSHewu.png

    The loots, and end!

    8SIoVIx.png

Nah. She's part of a much bigger thing now. Changing her to Great Lord would ruin that.

    uCK3p91.pngenFj8Mi.png

That being said, Kyle can definitely use some help. I feel no guilt.

I should have trained him, promoted him, and then promoted him again. Oops.
4ZuXSw6.pngzT8NGdK.png

Before I went in, I took Neimi and Joshua to the tower to get D swords. Mainly because I was sick and tired of the backfiring from using iron swords. I also got Joshua-Gerik A support, and Vanessa and Neimi got some good levels from that god-forsaken mogall boss.

    hRuwez5.png

Now we start chapter 17 for real.

    zoldTLl.png

Charging in various directions. Hold on, isn't this our last recruitable character before endgame...?

    ZLPT5IB.pngffRUBcE.png

How ironic; it's Eirika. She doesn't actually look that bad. But I don't think I'm using her; the lackluster defenses aren't very inspiring.

    ffRUBcE.png

Gerik is able to recruit her because he took over Vanessa's slot.

    EmjBDW2.png

    Good, good...

    LxytACA.png

Still had some vague idea of saving the greenies. LOLNOPE.

    Xxzs7FR.png8YStMrQ.png

    Eh and EW!

    nQfCibY.png

I remember that there's this dragonshield I usually forget to steal. Probably can't get-

    P6LlK9m.png

-oh, never mind. Probably the biggest problem is keeping this guy alive long enough to steal it.

    IJNKnag.png

    SUBSTANTIALLY more threatening.

    aUocyze.png

Swordmaster actually got crit-killed, funnily enough.

    bvkUQM0.png

A turn later, Joshua tries to take on Lyon. It doesn't go well, and Fenrir poisons.

    gLp6PWH.pnglcSe9cq.png

Lute kills the last of the heroes and gets a nice axe.

    AWjCy3I.png5KW6ZB3.png

Literally the ONE TIME I don't want Cormag to kill something, he does.

    Sigh.

    HDtcsJo.png

But it doesn't matter, because Knoll dies.

Deaths: 5 (Gilliam, Fado, Cormag, Knoll x2).

    WzzuDQK.png

    Round 2: Myrrh stays home.

    rxATjTS.png

This time, EVERYONE goes to Lyon.

    6d6LLgP.png

    SAVESTATE!

    Fp7VEK9.png

Protect greenies! (I'm just saving them to use later as meatshields; don't attribute any altruism towards me).

    V4uNy0Q.png

Lute shows the enemy sage how things are done with a crit. Fimbulvetr gives +5 strength, by the way.

    Q9nUbYv.png

    Good level. I like.

    3YAfyqk.png

I finally realize how I can lure the berserker without killing it: use a bow.

    o9Di8Ja.pngaL98UC8.pngcQ59Z3i.png

Lute finishes off the mage crew and gets to work on the horsey dudes coming up from the rear.

    AvViVzb.png

    Mine now!

    QhG6w3D.png

Once again, Knoll failed to dodge about 4 sub-50% hit rates, including the finishing blow by the berserker that just got robbed.

Deaths: 6 (Gilliam, Fado, Cormag, Knoll (3))

    RBHG3mh.png

Savestate from Neimi's great level. Lute gets stuff and a slightly different level.

    L19tlHC.png

The berserker attacks Cormag and gets 2-hit, resulting in capped defense.

    TjxWBQI.png

    Very nice. Savestate.

    Yb3POGq.png

Lute's doing an excellent job holding off the hordes.

    rMNIVaS.png

Time to initialize the final plan. I hear you ask: "Why are Gerik and Franz rescuing people?"

    qYsoJYN.png

To which I respond "I'll show you, but first I need to get rid of this pesky druid."

    t0b885r.png

You can see Franz has dropped his payload, a general. However, my cunning plan is suddenly not working, as it turns out that the eastern castle tile cannot be dropped on, for whatever reason.

    9bzxlef.png

I try anyway, but it's fruitless.

    sATM3wz.png

on EP, Knoll eats some more wyverns and gets an ok level.

    VKeh52f.png

I had vague recollections of only managing to dump certain people on certain tiles with non-monster units. Unfortunately, that does not appear to be the case. I prepare to restart, but on a whim, decide to try and attack; more out of desperation than actual hope...

    ptZR8fn.png

Remember this? A bullshit 1 percent crit that set me back a grand total of 3 turns? Well, it seemed the universe decided to flip the scales...

    IRheI1D.pngbHIu7OT.png

With a 37 hit, 5% crit OHKO. I was so astounded, I didn't even manage to grab a decent picture.

    BEST. LORD. EVER.

Deaths: 6 (Gilliam, Fado. Cormag, Knoll (3)).

  5.
gW4QjmX.png

Our last promotion (that I know of): Franz to ranger. Yes, I could have gone sniper. I chose not to because I felt swords were more important than slightly better caps.

    V7A6AbZ.png

Amelia's gained a couple of levels since last chapter, but here's an idea of her stats.

    hUKxEox.png

Due to the amount of enemies, Myrrh is sitting this one out. In fact, she might be permanently benched at this point.

    H1cJGuu.png

Valter's wyverns look more threatening than usual, with their larger-than-usual range.

    K6nf5FJ.pngHRgocyQ.png

And Valter himself is no walk in the park. 98 avoid and maxed defenses is going to be, shall we say, a pain. A large one.

    5gzTogv.pngzLhWhr5.pngUbmYXzc.png

Caellach has even more avoid, but is 1-range locked and has lower defenses. On the other hand, he doubles everything, and the hellfang packs quite a punch. Probably.

    KnXIEDV.png1rH8moY.pngvQYX3ZU.pngkXEuNBg.png

The prepromotes have gotten a bit beefier, and we also see the stat boosts of the silver lance, devil axe, and dragon axe, respectively.

    Fzpi9DK.png

Neimi starts things off by heading west and sipping some pure water. She's going to tank pretty much everything with the hatchet.

    fK1iNOv.png

Knoll parks himself on a fort and waits to sink his teeth into some tasty tasty wyverns.

    L3H13s2.pngs3a5hle.png

As if mounts and armors weren't screwed enough in this terrain, every mercenary in the area is equipped with the rapier-like iron blade.

    v3WQQcd.pngjYraLNk.png

    Knoll's doing just fine.

    EN8He8c.png

She might not be doing massive amounts of damage, but the hatchet is brave and she's critting quite a bit.

    t7bla4s.pngoatkZB5.png

My troops do not escape entirely unscathed, though.

    1Tct6Qu.png

    Well, not all of them.

    q7sOvDI.png6XoWBIJ.png

Before and after. Neimi is a beast.

    tlGrIw7.png83TV36v.png

Gerik takes out the berserker and gets a lousy level and a nice axe.

    0nMy2OY.pngcvfaETw.png

Knoll takes out a wyvern with a javelin and picks up the swiftsoles by accident. Not sure who I'm going to give these to.

    MkEcQBm.png83k5N0W.png

    Another annoyance down.

    IpSJvsc.pngKKjc2ua.png

On EP, Kyle's group catches up to us. This is unfortunate because if you hadn't trained him at all in 5x, he can potentially be doubled and killed before you can even do anything. Fortunately, both attacks miss.

    BUlFpTW.pnggJi3GKq.png

    Elsewhere, things start getting hairy.

    Q8Q3FG2.png

Alright, let's see what we got.

    kcd0mrx.pngHhRPUAe.png

Tethys is another restricted unit (probably the last one), and doesn't seem TOO bad. Throw her a couple of energy rings and she'll wreck.

    YPSeINR.pngMzSaQXa.png

I could swear Ephraim's picked up some levels, but I'm too lazy to check. He also comes with a steel lance that definitely wasn't there before. Otherwise, he still sucks.

    OwUkEEF.pngks9nG1q.png

Dozla is a beast. His hp and defenses aren't great, but he can hit and hit hard, and probably even double. Dunno if I'll use him, though.

    nzve7Zi.pngcbkZ3A9.pngjNQnBZM.png

Operation Get Out Of Dodge is a go for Tethys and Kyle. Dozla will take care of those two myrms.

    AFsGtnc.pngTzqK7nE.png

I believe that's the last of the blades, with a very nice level.

    fydkk4J.pnggjgOzHx.png

Not to be outdone, Vanessa gets a 5-statter as well, including some very welcome speed.

    Pg5ueaH.png

Rennac goes Indiana Jonesing in the desert.

    6Jz2tKV.png

    I giggled.

    kuzqKGI.png

Knoll accidentally wandered into eclipse range, but that's ok, because it has something like 30 accuracy, and more importantly, only 1 use.

    mcyIlr6.pngVhAzA3b.png

Dealing with Caellach is, as I said, going to be an issue.

    Rkt1Phs.pngGVOA57q.pnguvlgbM1.png

    Or is it?

I didn't take good pics, but Klok implemented the armor knight/general triangle attack. Which means the Trifecta of Terror is actually Joshua, Neimi, and Amelia, and Gerik is the fourth wheel (I mean, he's damn good in his own right, but he can't triangle).

    elBDFTC.png

    Endgame cheesing necessity.

    iPrpo3b.png

Lute patches up Knoll and gets a nice level.

    TdfDX3N.png

    You say hello...

    PWfkqHR.png

    ...and I say good-bye...

    nxrS65G.png

    All that's left.

    WvU1OLI.png

Half-price goods. Eat your heart out, Hachi.

    qTg6Uql.png

Meh. Def/hp is good, I suppose.

    mZLEm6n.png

Guess the silver lance paladin wasn't as threatening as I thought.

    YY30Sfz.png

    Going to Amelia, of course.

    DUwX3iE.pngVbAUdzF.pngZObd1uO.png

I forgot that berserker with the devil axe moves. Oh well, he wasn't threatening anyway.

    1RAVwD3.png

Aww man. I parked Knoll to lure the wyverns, and he got hit by 4 50% chances in a row.

Deaths: 4 (Gilliam, Fado, Cormag, Knoll)

    hCqo26p.pngJYdjNQy.png

Joshua regets the level, and Amelia uses the Metis Tome.

    IrMlLsR.pngjGbOM8C.png7uvbNk5.pngBM4qzBl.png

    uoI7hZP.png

    Loots.

    3tjJ3y1.png

Amelia killed the shaman that used to have the ring and puts the tome to good use.

    7HtwkkQ.png

    Most unproductive battle in history.

    9sZZpro.png

Once again, triangle attack to the rescue.

    KhqARE3.png

Oh, right. Eirika and Valter have a conversation! I don't think I've seen this before, since I don't usually kill Valter with her.

    mBpEIaG.pngWm4Z7Rd.pngEGvpW6y.png

Now I'm curious how everyone else is going to defeat these two...

Deaths: 4 (Gilliam, Fado, Cormag, Knoll)

  6.
TpDQVkQ.png

You may notice that Natasha is here. You may also remember I can't use her. Well, phooey, I say. She's here to bring Joshua to recruit Cormag's replacement, who will be stuck on the mountain unless s/he's a flier, and Klok says s/he isn't. So there. I couldn't use Ross because he has shitty con (8, Joshua has 10).

You may also say that I could have used Knoll. You'd be right. I forgot Baels can cross mountains, and I didn't remember until I started chapter 14, and I didn't feel like restarting.

    ZgpnuKA.png7lXUMBc.pngmk4F2aQ.pngFYXJzDN.png

I just want to show off how strong the generic mooks have gotten (especially those soldiers, holy crap). The knights have low strength, yes, but a lot of them come with javelins, and strength doesn't matter with those.

    aUVcnid.png

    Now compare them with...this.

    ASFGdRg.png

Ballistas have gotten a severe nerf, with only 2 uses and shitty accuracy. I don't bother.

    9QLaJpn.png1Z9iucI.png

Operation Gerik Kills Approximately All The Things is a go.

    evteNoO.png

Franz is turning out quite nice.

    HIyp0GM.png

Gerik doesn't actually kill all the things because he has an axe, and most things attacked with iron lances (with are reavers), so he had ~60 accuracy. He totally wrecked the three rangers, though.

    09mPK2L.png

    Bloody status staves. Go away!

    IsfYuLr.png

Elsewhere, Neimi takes out a merc and gets a nice sword that I will probably not use.

    bz9tymc.pngG7Ip9YN.png

Status staves are gone. Not much is happening elsewhere; it's mostly my units killing their units.

    xsUCxzd.png9NvUCZp.png

Boss is kinda threatening, were it not for his weakness to a certain aspiring team member.

    SeshevJ.png

Gerik's doing just fine, thanks for asking.

    PbjLyPj.pngey3KPfX.png

"Where is s-, hey, who are you and what are you doing on my mountain?"

    jAgzery.pngnoenZbL.png

Shitty speed means you're auto-benched, and I keep using Cormag. For what that's worth.

    uGn1Rhk.pngdLrJcFX.png

I had a bit of a situation here. I had to kill that wyvern because it had a javelin; if I didn't, it would run wild and attack Joshua and I wouldn't be able to do anything about it. So I needed to use the killer lance.

    udF4toW.png

The problem with that strategy, of course, is that Joshua can OHKO Syrene.

    *some RNG abuse later*

    gq7azpH.pngPF2FOK7.png

He misses both hits, and Lute gets a nice level that she can actually keep this time.

    L1JSPxK.png

    Not really, no.

    2T9IYlM.png

I totally have this map under control. In fact, I could have ended it by recruiting Syrene and killing Aias in the same turn. But I didn't, because...

    zpAcSRt.png

...I want to take this smug bastard down.

    AND NOW THERE'S A PROBLEM.

VBA froze on me, so I restarted it. Unfortunately, I forgot to move my old pics somewhere else, and so from here to the later half of ch 14 were overwritten. So here's a summary.

Gerik 1-hits Pablo and the rest of his gang is wiped out. Franz connects with 2 31% hits on Aias with the longbow, leaving him at 1 hp (no abuse, I'd been doing this for a while). Lute and Vanessa took care of the cavalier reinforcements. Syrene nipped the red gem from a priest and Cormag offed him, and finally Franz killed Aias and got the knight crest, which promptly went to Joshua, who promoted to general.

Chapter 14 began with me using a bunch of statboosters: Franz got a skill book and goddess icon, Vanessa got an angelic robe, and Lute got a speedwings. Cormag went into the tower to grind out his last 3 levels so I could promote him to Rogue. The usual crew came on chapter 14, along with Moulder, to recruit Rennac's replacement, who turned out to be Amelia, my last character. She's also a general and doesn't seem too bad. There were no deaths up till this point on my side, although there was quite a bit of backtracking when I found out some of those rooms can only be opened from one side. Sigh. This is the last...third or so.

    [/endtext]

    2bsSKTQ.png

In real life, this would be the stuff of nightmares: a giant spider that can open doors.

    XkRBSrM.png9WAhW6m.png

I'd been training her sword rank, which was difficult because of the FUCKING DEVIL EFFECT GODDAMNIT TO HELL.

I'm calm, I swear. Now that she can use an armorslayer, that is.

    bBmLk24.png

"Gather 'round, children, while I open this here door..."

    9BdoxSq.png

    Revealing...THIS guy.

    QXLNO5I.png

    Very threatening.

    NxeCD61.pngnFUEaIz.pngOgB7mDf.png

    VERY threatening. Also, nice loot.

    xyrXnb4.pngHv75xy1.png

In the southwest, Vanessa, with the help of the Elfire's +5 resistance boost, is busy destroying a group of mages and shamans.

    NIiDU7b.pngbPVJmSQ.png

    More loot is obtained.

    i6UboBh.pngMHpb4AB.png

Franz caps with a crappy level, and Amelia gets a not-to-shabby one.

    iQL8xzq.png

Carlyle is a sniper with a silver bow, which ALSO has an eclipse effect. This actually makes things better. Hitting him, however, is a bit of an issue, considering his ~67 avoid.

    jEWlZ89.png

Knoll gets the kill (surprisingly) and gets a nice level.

    EcMKZT0.png

Some last-minute running around, since I forgot to loot some chests, and I also need to pick up some promotion items. Neimi immediately uses hers to really become part of the trifecta of terror.

    5iLO72M.pngdCqOnH2.pngnmmlHgO.png

Remaining loot. Gerik and Joshua also get a B support.

Once again, really sorry about the missing bit in the middle. Hopefully, the next chapter will assuage your woes.

    Deaths: 3 (Gilliam, Fado, Cormag)

  7. Actually, it should be 80DA000. However, I'm going to assume OP missed a 0, since I'm fairly sure DA000 already has stuff there, and therefore it should be 8DA0000.

  8. Note: I forgot to have Cormag steal the talisman and red gem last chapter. Oops.
vQEPKxG.png

The usual gang of misfits. Now with a staffbot.

    SPXIvwG.png

Operation Save Greenies is a go. Neimi's hoisted into the wall, like a Kitty Pryde with pink hair.

    1uNyJ6x.png

For some reason I don't have pictures of stats of the greenies. I dunno if I took some and they got overwritten, or if I never took them at all. Anyway, L'Arachel is replaced by Moulder the Mercenary, who's banned for me, and Dozla has become Knoll the Elder Bael, who actually looks pretty good. Neither of them are having trouble with the multiple skeletons attacking.

    ieQaIHi.png

The boss is a rogue, whose thief AI has overridden all other commands. It saved us a chest key/lockpick use, I suppose.

    WQdNJCS.png

As I said, not much trouble.

    pEZ1XKu.pnguQss22Z.png

Not too difficult. Perfect for Neimi.

    dmVRa1E.png5tGa6py.png

She took a teensy bit of a beating from the entombed hanging out there and another revenant, so I need Lute to heal her up. Franz clears the path and gets a not-so-great level, but whatever.

    9BVCpXJ.png

Neimi wrecks the giant zombie and gets some much-needed strength.

    DEgmPou.pngJwcbAi3.png

Colm might not have much offense, but he is quite tanky. Myrrh has the opposite problem. That being said, she can take on 1 skeleton if it attacks her. Also, Gerik drops Joshua onto the wall.

    Monster High Command, Central Intelligence:

Skeleton 1: Sir, the enemy has penetrated the fortress.

Boss: How? We have soldiers choking all the points.

Skeleton 1: They're in the walls, sir.

Boss: What do you mean? They rappelled in through the window? That's impossible! We don't have windows! Or rappels, for that matter!

Skeleton 1: I mean, sir, that they're in the walls. Literally.

    Joshua: SURPRISE, MUTHAFUCKA!

Boss and Skeleton 1: Oh, bugger.

    dIfqrUt.pngr6l2EDD.png

Enemy's not too tough, although the iron lance's reaver effects are not helping against the boss.

    hn55MXd.pngzerqSXI.png

Meanwhile, in the fortress. Joshua recruits Moulder and Knoll. Knoll goes back south and fills the doorway with far too many legs.

    Xvckao2.png

Gerik's going to tank approximately ALL the things. There's mogalls around, so he equips the iron axe for extra resistance.

    p0POmJy.png

Doesn't hamper his face-wrecking abilities any.

    NGF1qn3.png7jTOxcx.png

Joshua takes Knoll's place in the doorway. Things fly/skitter/shamble towards him, like a moth to a flame, and get lanced into oblivion.

    W2BBJY1.pnggL828LH.png

Neimi wrecks the boss, netting her a nice level and a restore staff.

    AjH3IHX.png

Franz and Gilliam have been trying to take down a skeleton for a while. They finally succeed.

    HbwfIlC.png

Gerik charges in blindly, as usual.

    lJ6yfod.pngFZqysP5.png

Joshua and Neimi could use some patching up, so we rescue-drop Lute through the wall, prompting an outburst of "Fucking wizards" from Monster High Command.

    xX1Yd59.png

    Just what the doctor ordered.

    uI49QQw.pngPqzQJxy.png

    Cormag makes himself useful.

    tSk4837.pngGXWWF7w.png

Neimi wrecks the final mook, and...ok, they want to play hide and seek? Then play we shall.

    EQVEyGW.png

    AHA!

    3oky3sO.pngTCladuh.png

Eh? Oh. That explains a bit.

    Good chipping opportunity.

    JD5SAKp.png

    And NOW we're done.
4ky167P.png

Let's make Neimi a bit healthier, shall we?

    0iVJHO7.pngFw44F03.pngRMnvM0V.png

Saleh's replacement is Vanessa, a sage. Who has E dark, for some reason. Unfortunately, she can't do anything with it since there's no E-rank dark tome.

    kAF2I1N.pngC3aiceL.png

    Well, this should be easy.

    KwFZIDW.png

I buy Vanessa an overpriced staff in the prep menu armory.

    y3jjLnW.png

At this point, I decide to bench Gilliam. His lack of skill is simply too much of a liability.

    AwOyp3F.pngXQN5RWF.pnggsYJQEq.png4O9QJj9.png

    4vy8qIg.pngwB2HJvh.png

The beginning is just levels. I decide that this is the best moment to level up Cormag, since he can use the shadowkiller to actually do some damage, and tanks quite well.

    ETkTOS6.pngsBGNrbA.png

Another close call with the eclipse axereaver, and I get another horseslayer to throw in the cart.

    KaBou4a.pngnEZrZd2.png

Ewan's replacement is Saleh, who, aside from his crippling skill, is actually quite good.

    EDzbOoV.pngFnJoQE1.pngGRdBQxt.pngj8GDc3T.png

Some good-excellent levels, and a barrier staff that I may or may never use.

    ds73zeW.png

I also derped and thought "hey, I can replace Gilliam with Saleh" and then I remember he's banned for me.

    EinNCJv.png[imgur](http://i.imgur.com/smgAp7x.png)

I savestated after getting him, so Neimi regets her level sans resistance, while Cormag gets luck. Yay.

    xTOi7w5.pngpeu4oEn.png

Franz has some fun with this non-moving entombed.

    ZRYCXz9.png

    Buy lots of heal staffs.

    FWS01cr.png6WPIFQc.png

Franz kills the boss and gets the Hammerne, which may see use in the future!

    Deaths: 3 (Gilliam, Fado, Cormag)

  9.
Yes, I'm bound and determined to get this over with.

    8pI2uOf.png

    The crew.

    k1z7Cn0.png

The new guys-oh, for god's sake, not ANOTHER revenant!

    4lJmqoB.pngd9QSHc1.png

Looks decent except for the strength, but I can't user her.

    AhxDFBm.png3DMZBLd.png

    NOPE.jpg

    lBWkbkL.pngjTzX377.png

And here is my second character! It's a shame she's competing with Joshua for knight crests...but hey, another weapon triangle controller is good.

    N0XRAcO.pngshjwuuW.png

This is Marisa's replacement, and I can't use him either. The tome's going to Neimi, though.

    jeLsYH6.pngGdD9elU.png

Myrrh gets her first level, and it's crappy. But then again, what do you expect? I don't go through with Gilliam's attack, incidentally.

    9uO95JV.pngpcxb4S1.png

A bunch of mercs suicide onto my unit. On the green front, things appear to be going decently. This is an illusion.

    m4cxPcR.pngqsu5s6D.png

Because next turn, Neimi gets killed. And I can't let that happen.

    zwMnHRz.png

    ...That would explain why.

    HQ9TMQW.png

New strategy: Stay out of range, hope mercs go in front, prevent soldiers from attacking greenies.

    5C7ezmR.png

    Perfect.

    lA9G9sp.png

    It's a better level, I suppose.

    hHinwLg.png

    CHAAAAAAAAAAAARGE

    HUz7TqZ.png

    ...Fuck.

    RESTART!

    KkcQDTB.pngdkqKPcb.pnghNa3Upy.png

This is a level I end up keeping. I needed to rig a miss by Marisa on EP so that she wouldn't kill on Allied Phase and let Neimi choke the point instead. After much rng abuse, the merc ended up hitting himself with the iron sword, which was enough for Marisa to finish him. Then she plugged the gap.

    ev9VSA4.png

Joshua heals himself up cause he got wrecked by those two mages.

    SVR8nWw.pngFetAcrt.pngG3jJv24.png

    Mooks are owned.

    5rj02EW.png

Hooray, they're being smart! Marisa comes back to the fore.

    oD7l0OA.png1S7RkbF.png

Lute and Joshua take out a myrmidon on their side, while Gerik gets rid of a 2-range user.

    nw2vUoN.png

    Cormag gets the usual level.

    rFEC50z.pngIrgkwgq.png

grumble grumble Who's brilliant idea was this again grumble grumble

    E3dWO2t.png971C8P3.png5DU5L5L.png

    Greenies are mine!

    FxJiVei.png

    Lute gets some much-needed strength.

    JTRMjoL.png

    Stop sucking, Franz!

    t9pVSNi.png

Ok, time to deal with these guys.

    zJIQqpv.png

    Should be easy.

    HgfxIYW.png

    Bloody status staves.

    1xA131J.pngaCT5WJ9.png

Myrrh takes care of that guy on the next turn.

    eg9gG20.png

Neimi gets her first kill because of the devil effect. Woo-hoo.

    Qpj9FYi.png

Ephraim did attack Gerik, but fortunately Gerik didn't double or crit. The hatchet is brave, by the way.

    WWFurdc.png

    That's...vaguely irritating.

    D21OGLQ.png

At least it's something other than strength and hp?

    DSMOQ5t.png

So...I tried to lure Ephraim back north with an unarmed Fado...and he got OHKO'd by a crit.

    Deaths: 2 (Gilliam, Fado)

    zcXvY19.png

Savestated when I got the greenies recruited. Same levels happened. This time, I don't let Ephraim run off to heal and I recruit him right away.

    qil9uIu.png

    Preparing for the reinforcements.

    2BXZcjd.png

...Ouchie. Fortunately, the rest aren't bad.

    IVHCvjw.png

EVERYONE IN THE HOUSE! RIGHT NOW!

    MmyWyJr.pngtovsOZa.png

That silly bandit suicided on Joshua. Next turn, he throws his weapons in the convoy.

    WBbma02.png

    Her training will begin later.

    c5hsesi.png

This is pretty much how things are gonna go.

    7SAZkla.png

...Until I am rudely reminded that Klok made enemy pegasi use the triangle attack. Whoops.

    jPnN7DX.png

This guy is going to be a problem.

    Vu5CGo8.png

Franz gets a good level from killing the Falcoknight. Now everything else, except for the ranger, will do no damage. And the the ranger only does 3.

    ptZR8fn.png

At least, until it decides to go around the side AND GET A 1% CRITICAL!

    MOTHERFUCKER!

    Deaths: 3 (Gilliam, Fado, Cormag)

    6Kujjn3.png

I savestated after recruiting Ephraim, so I don't have far to go. Franz regets his level sans speed.

    7lGC4bK.png

I just try to keep everyone out of harm's way. Joshua can take this guy, and has plenty of elixirs if need be.

    HGVC7gx.pngg5y3ybj.pngttHIHqz.pngYzSFFkS.png

Franz training montage. The lack of skill might hurt him later, but for now he's doing fine. And I have 2 skill books to use :D

    EQDV5Xv.png

Joshua gets a relatively crappy level from being tinked.

    ULsEBDp.png

The pegasi are long gone. The cavs have been chipped down; any further and they'll run to the fort and heal, leaving Franz to square off against that ranger.

    bBmOexL.png

Franz kills one of the cavs with the magic shortbow, getting an ok level.

    SMVxczT.png

Trapped! This is the point where I wanted to chip with Neimi, only to find out she just barely can't deal any damage.

    G1t2Isc.png

So Joshua chips and Franz finishes for a nice level.

    AF1lfWv.png

Oh, hello. Another infinite use weapon.

    k3h2lBN.pngylgrbcM.pngylgrbcM.png

Reaver vs reaver allows Neimi to get a decent hitrate and nab a nice level, along with the lancereaver itself.

    vU0hQi2.pngMYW8TfO.png

I decide I really need a staffbot at this point, so Lute chugs 2 sips of elixir and takes on the meanest SOBs in the arena. They're kinda hard, except for the myrm that kept hitting himself. It was kinda funny.

    QnLUsVw.png

Neimi takes out this archer and gets a longbow out of it.

    x7zf987.png359FTxJ.png

Oh, right. We have a rather threatening boss, don't we. 1-range locked, yes, but with quite some avoid.

    kn89Heb.png

But I have Gerik. With a swordslayer. Shadowkiller be damned.

    DTIw360.pngVkjJuyq.png

He chips Pablo, then waltzes off to the arena since he was like 3 xp from level 20 and I didn't want to waste the boss kill.

    Hw4i342.png0tMpZ1X.png

Instead, Joshua gets it. Won't complain about speed.

    5aqjZda.pngww5nt6T.png

What AMAZING promotion growths. The weapon ranks are a bit OP, though. At least we have a Garm user.

For some reason, I don't have a picture of Lute's promotion gains. She went Sage, obviously, since she's supposed to heal. I do still hope I get someone who can use dark magic, eventually.

    FjjJ2Sr.pngYos0Oss.pngR8WeQ2t.pngnEuHP7N.pngjOdNmuA.png

I ground up Neimi and Franz a bit so they can actually do damage. It's only one floor, don't look at me like that.

    fEWo7s7.png2bszVo7.png

Infinite-use Nosferatu was bad enough, but infinite-use Shadowshot? SERIOUSLY?

    3g7DsMu.png

    Seriously.

    1wmeZkK.png1fz2yYy.png

Not enough to save it from Gerik's axe. He caps luck.

    Y7H3GJM.png

Also got Joshua-Gerik C support. My two main guys now are even stronger from being beside each other. This is great.

    Deaths: (Gilliam, Fado, Cormag)

I'm up to chapter 14 atm, will upload the rest tomorrow.

  10.
6v9PLBo.png

Which route am I going? Eirika, of course. I am no masochist.

    rQUCBMF.png

Looks like this particular skirmish boss is a sniper. Perfect for levelling up crappy units.

    5c5UiOU.png8k9n1fG.png

Our Tana replacement. I can't use him.

    H0SPPpG.png

In my last reclass run, this guy had nearly capped stats. Let's see how he turned out this time...

    5lCs7hR.png

    ...Oh. Not a problem, then.

    JfdfzBN.png

    The usual band of misfits.

    GmHtPTX.png

This is probably the last time I bring Ross. For now, he, and only he, has the power to save those villages.

(Actually, I could have lured with someone else, but I thought I'd make him feel marginally useful).

    7jRvuX0.png

This guy's going to get wrecked no matter who he attacks.

    j2Ldy1g.png2w1XMVc.pngWonKFu2.png

    Ew.

    CGhACeb.pngLFiEM0h.png

MUCH better. South village is safe. Can't visit it, though, because 9 MOV archers will wreck Ross.

    nejbcpo.png

Remind me why I'm training this guy again?

    0hYDGFw.png

    Ain't no kill like overkill.

    Qsyfc1u.png

Yep, that was a crit. Ouch.

    ULR7PA5.png

OUCH FOR THE MYRMIDON, THAT IS.

    O5ohLTa.pngxgclXv4.png

There shall be no poisoning shenanigans, no sirree.

    YI85fcT.png1Ga7Q3k.png1Ga7Q3k.png

    Just taking out the trash.

    EtudSyl.png

Innes checks out the shop. Doesn't buy anything.

    cIatnn5.png

    snaps to attention

    LebDUHW.pngehtqTss.png

I have a soft spot for archers, and his growths don't look that bad. I might train him.

    MQb9WGG.pngVG5Up1l.pngRMYztjC.png

Boss is really strong. Unfortunately for him, he's 1-range locked, and doesn't move. And we have a mage.

    Anyway, that's for later.

    7TN2OmI.png

For now, we have a Franz to recruit. I place the high-defense units in a line...

    2JqlacF.png

Oh. Right. He has a magic weapon. Not that it does much.

    7pQp13M.png

Welcome to the A team, dick.

    wlkteRm.png

Gerik wrecks a mage and gets an Elfire for the pile.

    QDEnrfe.png

Joshua gets poisoned through his ineptitude.

    q7LRZ2S.pngncHrdyN.png

Lute facetanked a group of archers, so she heals, while Innes gets a dragonshield for the pile.

    qb7mgP6.pngrjvwdJ5.png

Axereavers are also eclipse weapons, it seems. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, they only have two uses. Two.

    O5voHyY.png

Why am I still training you?

    pJ61XJ2.pngVrrrKjb.png

Franz gets his first kill, and Lute gets an ok level.

    JDlywRm.pngqcR5Q2Y.png

Not doing so hot right now.

    c2XhBqh.png

I wonder if we actually get an Eirika lord that can use this.

    l2ymFMz.pngZHYn1OC.png

Lute chips the boss down and gets a really good level.

    Deaths: 1

  11.
LbUVS37.png

Guess what I can't get on this run!

    wDJ0jX3.pngV0F0Ww8.pngINwcnyh.png

Boss is yet ANOTHER archer, with a promotion item for either Gerik or Joshua. Not sure who's going to get it first, honestly.

    oIbAhvC.png

The team. Myrrh's going to head northwest to deal with the mage/fighter combo. Everyone else goes east.

    WARnICf.pngp2GpY9R.png

A crit and a crappy level, yay.

    zSr0esP.pngd1mkLUg.png

Thunder tomes are brave. Lovely. That smidgen of crit will also be a problem, allowing my MVP's to potentially be one-rounded.

    zdbLQmD.pngKV7JHuv.png

Well, actually, Gerik's *probably* not going to get critted.

    GPFdhka.png

And really, brave effects don't help if you can't hit. One of these was even a crit, lol.

    Bvjj1Gp.png

    Speed? I'll take it!

    7Do4iYg.png

Gilliam gets a top-up while Gerik's going to tank those mercenaries.

    uX9n1hd.png

He had some accuracy issues, so I bring out the swordslayer for MAXIMUM OVERKILL.

    tNsOkFz.pngn881ePM.png

Next turn, I park him in archer range, but foolishly forget to have him equip his hand axe. So Ross has to go over and trade him, and Joshua rescues Ross because he's Canto-less.

    dj67B6L.png

A steady diet of archers makes Gerik more accurate.

    jRDf8vq.pngHzdZh14.pngF4nu0dz.png9KcsgfU.png

Boss goes down quite easily. Longbows are brave weapons too, it seems.
WUt8gNM.pngP3HuIuM.png

Our first promoted boss is a berserker. Shouldn't be too bad; worst cave scenario, Myrrh takes him out.

    FkM8bJ1.png

This is where the extra movement really shines. It means I can get to Sucky Kyle and his group of misfits before those cavalier reinforcements show up and kick their asses.

    dqcaV9n.pngg0Xun0p.pngAmLyCht.png

Gilliam got something other than HP/strength, so I consider this a success. And Ross gets his first level, and it's kinda bad.

    aDXFe5p.png

A knight and soldier suicide into Gerik, netting him a near-perfect level.

    blEfKjP.png

"Why are you suddenly so much better than me?"

    qnmgPwy.png

We all know who's the capable one here.

    uMuk72V.png

This was a crit. I dunno why I bothered.

    iR0gSDw.png

Starting to not regret training Lute.

    ckAfXeH.png

I take advantage of the fact that the randomizer fucks with the movement table values to rescue-drop Joshua onto a wall. The reason for this is that a thief will spawn soon, and he'll go for the Angelic Robe chest, and I didn't send anyone that way (although Joshua could probably have taken out all the knights by himself).

    42geoLB.png

    Still vulnerable to mages, alas.

    nUuuQW1.pngFepCYQN.png

This guy has a javelin, which, as you may remember, has the eclipse effect. Yes, Gerik has WTA, but I'm not taking any chances.

    W7qKNRJ.png

I dunno why I'm still feeding this guy. I really don't.

    H3JXeS9.pngfq1P4ow.png

Knight vs Knight battle makes Joshua cap defense.

    5RKVb5l.png

Kinda sad that even with WTD, Gerik has higher hit than his opponent.

    H9MtBZO.pngr7rsSm3.png

Magic sponge Myrrh tanks a shaman and a longbow archer, killing the latter. Lute takes out the shaman.

    IuZ6GLa.png

Meanwhile, Joshua takes care of the lone threat on his side.

    WoLtyzL.png

Reminds me of FE6 eclipse, where it's only use was against walls.

    djHnJMb.png

You disgust me, Lute. Never do that again.

    6k51toj.png

    ...Oops.

    cShTup5.png

    Brave vs brave. Lute won.

    ef92YIv.pngJDjuT7I.png

Joshua takes out the knights guarding the Angelic Robe.

    XGmZWO4.pngGdmqdxM.png

Dunno if that whip's gonna see any use. 2/3 fliers so far can't be used, and Ross isn't exactly inspiring me to use him. The sword's nice, though.

    54pGBaN.png

Not exactly showing your best side there, Gilliam.

    rwpIwdG.png

    Hot damn. Capped strength.

    dteuG7P.png

Gonna hold onto this for a bit.

    WbI9pzM.png

    Lute goes for a hit...

    ySpPOBi.png

    ...and flubs it.

    YFm4YMY.png

She misses the counter. This is problematic. Tirado doubles her, and with poison, I need to get her out fast.

    ZzB9ZNb.png7sLHFSn.png

Or she not miss this time (yes, I savestated just in case).

    Deaths: 1 (Gilliam)

  12.
Time to see the lordly character.

    PYcL5Ok.pngC2VAdX5.png

It's...not pretty. I'm glad I'm not doing Ephraim mode.

    r5p1GqY.pngwGXdq1W.pngqgkIkPS.pngD6fJ5hQ.png

His retainers are pretty bad, too. Cormag is salvageable. Seth...I dunno.

    n06SFlp.pngFNLB17a.png

And this, here, is the reason I can even complete this map. Hail Orson.

    Mz8Gd0x.pngce2eX0m.png

    Compare and contrast.

    wXw1hUd.pngJa9m7v1.png

    Critz 4 dayz.

    NWPf4u9.png

I do not go through with this.

    1MStA1h.png

Short bow does magic damage, it seems.

    TVLB7RU.png

God knows you need the speed, but...MAN you suck!

    Z2khJQH.png

    I remember Fire poisons. Goddamnit.

    y6WpiXk.pngjh2nKmJ.png

    Chests looted.

    byYA8IK.png

Aww look at them together. Pretty in pink!

    lkklXhD.png

See how badly Seth sucks? He gets doubled by a KNIGHT.

    SuZOTwI.pngWbuQ3Z2.png

You guys are going to be benched SO HARD.

    kYYbV8E.png

    Cormag drops the ball...

    EMnNV99.png

...but the enemy cavalier drops it even harder.

    EiLvBtU.png

Please let there be a better thief...

    0KPWGGt.pngH9UwUh2.png

That being said, he's the best of the three I'm stuck with.

    oPk9e13.png

    Not that that's saying much.

    gVJP0mG.pngDJBzJLe.pngOmCd7BR.png

That's a crit, and actually not that bad of a level.

    wAlUkSN.png

    Oh, no. More poison.

    JbufqaN.png

    Never mind.

    lD9GuGa.png

    Superfluous crits ftw.

    cR5k6IW.png

Did I mention how benched he is? Because he's really benched.

    c4PesQw.png

Not much better, but at least he'll be tanky.

    3vRzc5V.pngqmfmxN2.png

Without Orson, this chapter would be impossible.

    uHi00ji.pngRZNfS7S.pngcaSVsI3.png

    As shown here.

    qs8I7Vz.png

    Not taking any chances.

    NFjNSOs.png

Orson finishes off Zonta in short order and gets probably the best level of the chapter.

    8KWPnFh.png

Get rid of Orson's stuff and seize.
kwzUsEZ.pnghxo1u47.png

First, a look at the shop and armory in Serafew. We find a few interesting things.

    XVBddOs.png

In order to get the Orion's Bolt, I am going to have to haul serious ass in this chapter.

Fortunately, I can do just that!

    GbH8K1u.pngPhZ3kmC.png

Gerik with a hand axe leads the charge.

    LgecW6H.pngsJZkZ9B.pngCiNW2l9.pngCa2cxqT.png

Things seem to be going smoothly on EP...

    jRqXPsC.pngif5goOw.png

Until suddenly this armorslayer pretending to be an iron blade make an appearance. Ouch! The halberd is brave, incidentally.

    BIGDJC5.png

And the citizens get wrecked on turn 1! Such injustice! Restart!

    T393OPg.png

New idea: get as far east as possible, regardless of using terrain to boost avoid.

    tN5QOTi.pngOXwx8It.pngz4gAnlh.png

Not bad...(Also, iron blade has rapier effectiveness, not armourslayer. Joy.)

    sqxlqnP.png

    Oh, come on!

    FnUE75X.png

    And then Gilliam dies.

    Deaths: 1

    REYYJQG.png

New idea: forget the citizens. Take advantage of terrain bonuses. And ditch Ross, because he's useless.

    VvahuO1.pngzse4pUp.png0HtQJjf.png

    Gerik for MVP!

    FpmClCp.png

Sigh. I tried, kiddies. I did try.

    mEic0dx.pngSt2YyIU.png

Cmon Gilliam, get some tasty tasty speed or skill too.

    cXXVlyd.pngpu9idwZ.png

Yay, I have my own super-rapier now!

    wshJkKg.png

It only clicks now that javelins are Eclipse weapons. Wankers.

    VD2xEo0.png

Gerik caps defense. What a monster.

    hnLBt7S.png

    Javelin fuckers must die.

    Vm0vvzR.png8YBC9hV.png

Joshua's is nice. Lute's is crappy.

    maio7cz.pngAXrlV90.png

The spider didn't even get a bite.

    zlnqL5D.png

Yay, something I will probably never use.

    eEi2nHj.png

Ever-so-slightly annoying. On the other hand, I can grind Lute up.

    O7BgY7o.pngMj1xA5C.png

Our boss is yet another archer. Who doesn't move. This is gonna be a piece of cake.

    8bKJ45X.png

Gerik rids the world of its arachnid foe with a twirling axe and a flash of light.

    Foe2U4C.pngxfzFmY0.pnguEi0VDc.pngxv5q3Cp.png

Grinding Lute up on that priest/troubadour combo until her fire tome nearly breaks.

    HV2v1wg.png

    Will probably sell.

    lwWuDDQ.png

    Yay strenght!

    GZRWNeG.png

WHEN THE HELL AM I GETTING A DARK MAGIC USER!?"

    Deaths: 1 (Gilliam)

  13.
r0H52nu.png2Tsa2fN.png

I do indeed get a mage! Unfortunately, I can't use him. Elfire gives a very nice resistance boost, though.

    W67vOnN.png

Ross and Gerik cooperate to take down a wall...

    HhOY0tW.png

...while Myrrh needs no help to break her wall.

    kgHquGS.png

Hello, not-Colm! Can I use you?

    HHwwA3W.pnghpSIsKJ.png

Nope! Shame; she looks like a really good unit. Plus, she actually has canto!

    1CY11xb.png

Not filling me with excitement here, Gilliam.

    qvljzkG.png

Gerik decides to demonstrate his axe-twirling skills.

    VGVuwhW.png

I only have 2 chest keys, and I know Klok didn't mess with the chests (or at least, he says he didn't). Therefore, the rewards I want are the javelin and the hand axe.

    tLopRW0.png

The infinite-use hand axe, mind you.

    9hmreDl.png

My brilliant self put Gerik there with a vulnerary that can be stolen...

    lUgq7Ea.png

...so I stick Joshua in front of him.

    ESk9Eg3.png

We established iron lances are reaver weapons, right?

    nyz3xsV.png

Skill :D I don't even care if he doesn't get much speed, but skill is necessary.

    jlj6PRi.png

    Gerik's a tank.

    ji4J5NI.png

    Now THAT's more like it!

    8APgax8.png

And that goes straight to Gerik, of course.

    W86IDCF.png

Let's take a look at the boss. He's...rather threatening, especially with the stupid throne bonuses.

    3Iwk3aq.pngDJ5wi6k.png

    Things happen on EP.

    xD12Iig.png

I find out that the steel axe poisons. Joy.

    JfVbmIm.png

Which means I need to pick up Gilliam so he doesn't die.

    a8De7Dx.png

    Speed? I like.

    pbdJ7PA.png

    I like slightly less.

    MIn1Oa0.png6M1yN5o.png

I did savestate before trying this, but the rng was with me.
Yibm9rh.pngeyduo8b.png

First off, we have our Artur replacement. He doesn't look very good, and I already have a dedicated lance user.

    c8qqNFC.png

With the prep screen now available, I can bench the guys I can't use, leaving Joshua, Myrrh, Gilliam, Ross, and Gerik.

    5f9Waok.png

Positions. Gerik, as possessor of the only good 2-range weaponry in the party, will be in charge of luring out the eyeballs.

    TqOJ3LY.png

Gilliam gets attacked by a zombie and gets a bleh-level.

    Swurkx6.pnguXPexjl.png

No, I didn't take the same picture twice. Evil eye has the brave effect. Ouch.

    Fnb6XrG.png

He takes measures to not get wrecked by magic.

    Th9rYdI.png

Gilliam got D swords, so now he takes Myrrh's armorslayer.

    ApNpYRO.png

Very nice! Might need some skill, but that Metis Tome is paying dividends.

    GvSu4c8.png

A look at L'Arachel's party. A mercenary, an elder bael, and a general. Ok.

    pILa9Bd.png

Gerik's going to town on the monsters. Best part is, if shit really hits the fan, he's got the infinite-use monster-killing weapon.

    kfKC0do.png

    For occasions like this.

    6u3Lv5m.png

    Keep it up, Joshua!

    WmjTzgg.png

Ross performs one of his two tasks this chapter (the other being getting Hayden out of the way).

    ZeOy5TA.png

The boss is quite pathetic, compared to Bazba from the last chapter.

    R05ILLQ.pngWmVROaj.png

A meh level, a good level, and...

    DOqRqxq.pngOo90dAq.png

117 MOTHERFUCKING DAMAGE AND A 6 STAT LEVELUP! Gerik for MVP!

    ANvo16r.pngC00IG1v.png

Someone with high movement visits the village and recruits the Lute replacement, which turns out to be...Lute. And she's still an anima-magic using class. Ok then.

Since Forde is off-limits, I'll probably be using her.

    mCoglRY.pngVaLzapw.png

Laughing at that hit/damage rate, and whistling approvingly at the level.
Py334mk.pngNEBUDA2.png

Natasha's replacement turns out to be yet another character I can't use, and a pretty damn good one at that. At least Myrrh can make use of the shamshir.

    Br2tADO.png

The boss is, unfortunately for him, an archer. Who doesn't move. Can we say target practice?

    OgXMHrY.png

    The crew.

    UjbKtqU.pngux16mYM.png

Joshua's replacement is pretty bad. Rest assured I will not be using him.

Also, lol at the hammer's uses.

    lhpqc6E.png

I'm honestly not sure whether this chapter's going to be easier or harder with the extended range.

    KPmiahl.png

First, we move the front-liners to the, well, front lines.

    5mH6A5E.png

Not!Joshua tries to kill Real!Joshua, and fails pathetically.

    dVZR3VW.png

That was easier than expected. Okay, out of the way, you two.

    9v3UwyN.png2w9s30h.pngbU9u6kZ.png42mzaLZ.png

Getting rid of some of the riff-raff. I think we're in a good position right now.

    SdbQsev.png

Gerik's got the rng on his side, he's hitting those 60% shots quite often.

    bpKWnKv.png

He might want this, though. I'll wait and see.

    UIshUlS.png

I dunno if it's just me, but Joshua seems to be gaining experience at a faster rate than usual. Well, I'm not complaining.

    8zo7jTf.pnghT1N8fH.png

Blocking off these brigands and having L'Arachel do some work.

    Nh01diI.png

Both bandits suicide on Myrrh instead of Gerik. Probably because they can't damage him or something.

    XFKW9OF.png

Guiding Ring is mine! I actually had doubts I'd be able to get it.

    mIvWCaC.png

I buy a heal staff for the healer that will most definitely show up in the near future.

    ivozvB8.png

Check out the armory as well. Has iron and steel weapons; most of the steel weapons are crap. Sword has devil effect, lance is heavy and inaccurate, axe is bleh, and bow is inaccurate. I don't buy anything.

    l2aXyu4.png

Lute gets her first level, and it's ok for a staffbot.

    bXHKLXS.png

You'd think those brigands would go for the puny mage with no defense, right?

    9EUEcFu.pnghHjWtqJ.png

Nope! They both suicide into Gerik, netting him some much-needed skill. He, too, seems to be gaining xp at a faster rate.

    hwFqRzo.png

    Fire poisons. Interesting.

    RPVZlOG.png

    Bleh.

    3YGujTn.png

    Excellent.

  14. Those of you who frequent this forum have no doubt noticed that there's been a sudden influx of these runs. My 4 compatriots have already started theirs, so no doubt you have an idea of what's going on. Despite that, I'm going to post this thing anyway:

Welcome to Fire Emblem 8: Hella Awesome Lightning Boots! ([H.A.L.B.] For short)

This is a randomized and edited version of FE8. It was edited by Klokinator and features a number of gimmicks, though the editing is not at the level of FE7CM, and this hack is unrelated to FE8CM. Don't get it twisted.

Here are the settings used for this hack:

    LP%20%232.png

-Every character in every class, player and enemy, has 9 movement. The exception is the Demon King.
    -Weapon effects wasn'
t checked in this image, but I did check it in reality. Every weapon has a very high chance to add any 1 extra effect, such as poison, unlimited uses, a stat boost, or even the Devil effect. Watch out!
-Character classes, their recruitment order, their growths are all totally randomized, and boss classes are also randomized. Character bases are also randomized, though to a smaller degree.
-Every enemy and every boss has had their growths increased up to 100%. Some enemies will be very difficult, though this is subjective as I've allowed the tower and ruins grinding as needed.
-Items are also randomized, though to a lesser degree. Initially I wanted to edit descriptions for the LPers but since FEditor is borked after randomizing, that won'
    t happen.

The goal of this LP is to try out a new gimmick (All units with 9 movement) but also to show off the all new (not really) WIP FE8 Randomizer Fix Patch! If you guys want to randomize with Otaku's randomizer, apply my patch and randomize! (In that order, please) Important fixes include monster weapons displaying stats properly and Eirika always being able to wield the Rapier (Provided her class can wield swords). Also if you randomize her position around (As I did) then the new not-lord won't but that's beside the point.

The LPers can play Ephraim or Eirika route, though Eirika route is recommended since I have not playtested Ephraim'
    s.

Each LPer has a list of three units. They MUST use all three. They cannot use any units assigned to other LPers. These units appear at random intervals throughout the game. The LPers are only required to use the units on non-Ruins/Tower chapters. (Ie: Main story) and can grind them up if needed. Any units not listed can be used by everyone without limits.

    Here are the unit lists:

[1] The Trifecta of Terror: Neimi, Amelia, Gerik [TAKEN BY TEQUILA]
[2] Lords of Chaos: Moulder, Rennac, Duessel [TAKEN BY ECLIPSE]
[3] Where's Gerik?: Innes, Tethys, Marisa [AUTO ASSIGNED TO MR. NIGHT]
[4] Hardcore Heroes: Forde, Natasha, Saleh [TAKEN BY MONIKER]
    [5] Strength Without Power: L'
Arachel, Ephraim, Tana [TAKEN BY KIRIE]

Watch out for the demon king, and may the best LPer... win? I guess?

I won't bother going over the text; it's not changed. With that in mind, let's begin. As of now I'm at the route split, so I'll probably double/triple post.
WRNMgOm.png

Klok said play normal mode. Unlike Mr Night, I *am* capable of following directions.

    EgLoeOx.png

An idea of what classes our new guys are. Although I can never remember who's who. Oh well, we'll find out soon enough.

    JCfMl25.pngR33yxRI.png

The lord! Eirika's been replaced by the wayward prince of Jehanna. Seems to be pretty good. I'm a big fan of a good strength growth.

    I3WXc2u.pngFoS8Awo.png

The Jaigen! Myrrh comes in a class with extra crit AND a killing edge. Although items have been randomized, so maybe it won't be as good as I think...

Note: I won't cover ALL weapons. I'm sure the other LPs do.

    FJiYrGT.png8SONKO7.pngrwfaOh8.png

The fighters come with an iron axe, which gives a nice res bonus, and our boss is a knight...that Joshua will almost certainly not be able to handle.

    3Er1SkZ.png

Fighters aren't terribly threatening, unless they get an unlucky (for me) crit. Even with WTD, Joshua has no trouble dispatching them. Love the +5 speed bonus from the slim lance.

    WmOAvwi.png

As I suspected. Myrrh's gonna have to handle this one.

    oQGzKQL.png

    And handle it, she does.
g5hQfP5.png

Our boss is a cavalier with a pretty high base def. Myrrh's got this one again, I think.

    nJ42EzU.png

Joshua takes advantage of his massive movement range to plunk himself on a fort, something I normally couldn't do.

    allnxJ9.pngxc9tgnK.png

Chipping the two soldiers that attack him right off the bat gives a nice first level.

    Th4TI4n.png

Meanwhile, an impatient fighter goes after Myrrh and gets face-wrecked. I forgot to unequip the KE. Oops.

    XL4Glqd.pngaokLrov.pngfpRVFww.pngfpRVFww.png

Our two new guys! Except, according to the rules, I can't use Duessel. Rats.

    I bet he sucks anyway.

Gilliam's still might be an issue, later. For now, I need a sword user. I'll hold onto that nice Tome of Duessel's; not sure who I'll give it to.

    UhMB2fS.pngXGE07Up.png

Looking at the iron sword and lance Gilliam came with, it appears the iron lance is a reaver.

    pC384ye.pngHHk6Umh.pngefC5goI.png

A little rescue-chaining to get Duessel and Myrrh out of the way. Unfortunately, gargoyles don't get canto or mounted rescue. None of the monsters do, in fact.

    A1akumD.png

    So dangerous!

    2lION9t.png

Despite Gilliam being wide open, this silly fighter goes after Myrrh and pays the price.

    DtUAewT.png

Now they should be out of range.

    jCbYw8c.png

Next turn, they go for a...swim?

    9Xd9g7w.png

Gilliam's first level isn't too bad.

    dpGoj3u.png

Not a good picture, but the iron sword has the devil effect, apparently.

    sc9VGww.png

    Skill is good. Excellent.

    14vMnSd.png

As I suspected, Myrrh is the only one who can damage Breguet. So she does. Very much.

    0Sobd2e.png

    Whoo-hoo, money!
[imgur](http://i.imgur.com/ZDcvChY.png) bLBhK8S.png

The first unit I am required to use. Nothing sticks out too much.

    kBigUMR.pngeuH3QLk.png

Knights, beware. Myrrh's getting this infinite-use Armorslayer. Unless it's got a devil effect or something.

    BaMjF23.png

Even with 9 movement, Bone's got a bit of a hike.

    h0MmArd.pngHsCvOQs.png

Duessel is juuuuuust too far away to get the village on the first turn, whereas that bandit totally can get to it. We'll have to distract it.

    oJAiscW.pngkdCYnAC.png

Myrrh disarms Tana and sends her to get the village (I hope this is allowed).

    kkXNhRz.png

    Let's turn Gerik...beastly.

Also, note the infinite-use effective-against-monsters weapon he brought. Kinda ironic, no?

    iMg5PKl.png

He starts off with a nice whack for village-raider over there.

    a9Q6a7T.pngq3xfaa4.png

Oh, right. We have greenies, don't we?

    BOOm9rx.pngv0LdLlM.png

Yes, we do. We'll look at them later.

    McynNJy.png

    Doot doot, more loot.

    z0mXOEZ.png3dWdTZy.png

Um...not great. Not great at all.

    lwUQWXy.pnguSCH1dZ.png

Gerik chokes the point so that Duessel can loot the village without being whacked.

    p6LVkCG.png

While Joshua parks himself to hopefully recruit whoever Ross is.

    XrvItaD.pnglGdx1Ry.png

This is a beast. Unfortunately, he's also taken.

    Y8oUWd3.pngosRtUfw.png

This guy's free, but I'm not sure how good he is. He'll come along for flier utility, at least.

    aFOeP4b.png

Duessel's mission complete, he goes and hides in the mountains.

    XjkWVv7.png

    Ross recruited.

    pHJG819.pnglu9qwUf.png

If I didn't use the swordslayer, Rennac would probably steal the kill. Gerik gets his first level, which isn't that great.

    SFBPdab.png

Rennac can reach Bone's ally, but that's less of an xp steal.

    5goVWzx.png

The Great Rennac has been recruited, and that pretty much ends the chapter.

    b9BMtl3.pngIqTFhU5.png

On the world map, I check out the armory. It seems to have picked up some magic tomes; could this mean I'm getting magic users before chapter 5?

  15. Seeing the characters actually talking to each other like that, even if it's just quips like that makes me quite happy inside. It means that the characters will NOT, in fact, be relegated to just numbers + supports, that they will continue to exist as characters in the main storyline. That's probably my biggest complain about the main FE games, especially ones like FE6 where if you're not Roy or Merlinus, you get maybe 2 lines of dialogue after your recruitment at best, then cya in supports.

If permadeath wasn't a thing, that probably would be more feasible. Sure, you could just have everyone retreat from battle and still tag along for cutscenes and the like, but that might get suspicious after a while. Otherwise, you have to write 3000+ lines of text every single chapter depending on whether someone died or not. Can you honestly see IntSys doing something like that?

  16. 2. Support chain run - everyone must end with 4-5 supports total. This makes Knoll nearly impossible to use, though.

I actually did a run like this, trying to optimize supports. Here's what I ended up with:

Squares (4 characters, 1-(A)-2-(B)-3-(A)-4-(B)-1. Each person here has 5 supports):

    Eirika-Seth-Franz-Forde

    Cormag-Duessel-Knoll-Natasha

    Saleh-Ewan-Dozla-Myrrh

    Ross-Garcia-Neimi-Amelia

    Vanessa-Syrene-Gilliam-Moulder

    Rennac-Tethys-Marisa-Colm

    L'Arachel-Joshua-Gerik-Innes

And that leaves 5 characters: Artur -A- Lute -B- Kyle -B- Ephraim -A- Tana

    30 characters with 5 supports, 1 character with 4, and 2 with 3.

I'm curious to see whether anyone can come up with anything better.
