  1. All the Shadow Dragon/MotE portraits were kinda ugly as fuck I must say. To be fair though it makes sense; they make the good guys look more appealing so that people will like them more. Common design decisions n'whatnot. and then Oliver happened in RD holy shit what a majestic bastard
  2. NYEHHH HEHHHHH HEHHHHHH HEHHHHH, HE-MAN! HALLOWEEN BONES
  3. Are we only talking about the new Smash game? I've only listened to a few songs but I really like the Mega Man medley they got going and the Pokemon X/Y Battle Theme remix. Now overall, Shin Onigashima from Brawl was bitchin'. Also their remix of Lip's Theme from Panel de Pon was awesome as well. They touched my nostalgia nerve when I heard that the Smash Bros 64 character select is the post-victory theme/results screen theme though. That put a smile on my face.
  4. Once upon a time, there was an idea for a strange cross over. The miracle never happened.
  5. Virion and Libra support. Virion has wrestles his mind for the C and B supports if Libra is a woman or a man and if Libra is the hotness or not (unfortunately for some, that ship never sailed). By A it all gets fixed, but that support was pretty damn hilarious IMO. My vote goes to the cravat archer.
  6. I was hoping the tool used to assist in speedrunning this game was going to be a power drill through the game cart. (hohohohohohehehehehehehahahahahaha) But hey this was a good insight on Marth's morning jog through Archanea, always wanted to know how he stayed fit.
  7. The Outrealms Gate is probably the best Deus Ex Machina device I've seen in a while. Yen'fay, dead. He's there though, from the Outrealm Gate to help Say'ri. I'm surprised and slightly proud of the writers not using the Outrealm Gate more as a DEM for other things beyond Yen'fay, children characters and Risen. Gotta have SOME "immersion" or "plot integration" for your DLC access though, eh? I also don't like the fact that all the other DLC characters (excluding Priam and Yen'fay again) basically explain how they're there by going: "yeah no I didn't die just gravely wounded and somehow recovered and ended up here" However in relation to the OT (and possibly b8 people who want to argue their waifu's flimsy plot presence), how they handled Emmeryn's execution and return was pretty god-awful. She could have been easily saved WITHOUT a direct conflict more than likely, and her beautiful string of happy coincidences that let her be on that island full of people conveniently ignorant of the social stats of the Brand of the Exalt was a bit... well, stupid. But hey, a game's a game and it was free DLC to get her anyway, so there's no sense in complaining about wanting free soup expecting to get something made by Gordon Ramsey, only to get something that came from a can instead. Title shouldn't have been "Everything Wrong about FE:A" though, but to give you more credit: g8 b8 m8, i r8 8/8, no h8.
  8. I decided to re-install this game after taking a year off as a break from the shit-tier community. a decision so poor that i'm using pink comic sans to illustrate my point jesus christ this game did not get better
  9. Cao Cao is pretty ambitious.. ...for a cow. :^)
  10. hahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, YEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSS IT BEGINS
  11. No. This one. eeveelutions are cool too I guess
  12. It is the last letter in the Greek alphabet. This can literally translate to "I am your end." It's more commonly paired with "I am your Alpha and Omega." to generally mean "I am your beginning and end." in terms of the position of the alphabet. Running around going "I AM YOUR Z" doesn't make too much sense, I guess. I understand where you were pulling that from, though.
  13. Genealogy of the Holy War Play Sacred Stones. The whole free-style overworld map roam will seem familiar, then transition into PoR or FE7 at your leisure. PoR is hella expensive though, since my local game store gave me around 60 bucks for my copy, and I think online places like Amazon are selling it for a load of dollars too (as of writing this, Amazon only has ONE COPY LEFT for 160 USD). Then play Genealogy if you like to whore out eugenics.
  14. "Pick a god and pray!" and "I am your Omega!" are my main go-to's, but I guess if I had to pick ones that aren't as popular.. "I've got big, pointy teeth! >:B" and "It's squashin' time!" from Yarne and Nah are pretty hilarious. Not intimidating in the least, but they bring a grin to my face.
  15. I wholeheartedly recommend Nocturne and SMT IV. They're basically gold. I also cautiously recomment SMT II since it's built well and still plays well to this day. Not SMT I or If... though, they aged far too poorly IMO.
  16. Anna and Jack Frost would work well. Then again, Jack Frost and anyone could work since Jack Frost is so damn lovable. I can't see Hitoshura and Marth working, since Hito is about gaining power as an means to an end (whatever that end may be, it's debated that Hito is Chaotic as canon and is described as a Chaos character in the audiobook), while Marth is about working together to obtain a goal, usually being a way to save all of humanity. They're both fairly naive and willing to jump to someone's aid, though. Flynn and Chrom... ehhhh, maybe? Flynn's just a silent country bumpkin who's interpretation is up to the player in SMT IV, but I could see it working. I honestly know too little about Aleph's personality (outside of player manipulation in SMT II) to comment on Ike/Alm supports. If I had to suggest a custom support, then I would pitch Flynn and Donnel. COUNTRY BUMPKIN SUPPORT GO Edit: Wow I just noticed this necropost. I'M SORRY.
  17. I just cleared the game for the first time. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yes. PC Dark Souls 2 is absolutely amazing, too. Definitively better than the console versions.
  18. EXTARORDINARILY Screwed: Lon'qu. He doesn't get bad growths, don't get me wrong, but he always is hit with extraordinarily low hit percents (I'm talking like, 30 - 5% here) that usually just decimate him and set him up for an archer to plink him in the face for the kill. WITHOUT. FAIL. Screwed: Miriel. She has always had garbage-tier growths in my games, usually only gaining 1-2 stats at best. Rarely I've had her gain a normal amount like, maybe 4 or so. Sully: Unlike the legendary Sully posted up there, mine just doesn't... do anything in terms of growths. I just default to Stahl for the most part. Vaike: Same reasons as Sully, I just default to a General/Great Knight unit for axes and default to Basilio for a warrior. Blessed: Stahl: Usually goes really well in most playthroughs, only had one where his growths were vegetable-tier. Sumia: She almost always has really nice growths, replaces Cordelia very easily. Henry: Same reasons as Sumia, usually replaces Tharja. Inigo: Because he wants to impress the ladies he usually dual strikes all day every day, despite low percents. LEGENDARY-TIER of Being Blessed: Virion: I didn't expect this but honestly, in every one of my playthroughs, WITHOUT FAIL he will have beast-mode growths and dual strikes the MOST out of any unit (excluding Chrom or Lucina), even with low %s. Owain: What else did you expect from the hero of an epoch? Amazing growths very frequently, dodge master supreme against high hit %s for no reason.
  19. There are 10 types of people in this world. Those who understand binary, and those who don't.
  20. SMT as a game mechanically is a JRPG at heart, and involves the recruitment of demons and the fusions of them in order to get a stronger party and having an almost unlimited amount of diversity in terms of team customization and customization of the demons. The base games (SMT1, SMT2, SMT3 Nocturne, Strange Journey and SMT4) are these games. The Persona series usually throws in a psuedo dating sim mechanic into the game that involves bonding with the main characters to make them more powerful and useful in battle. Persona isn't about collecting and fusing demons to make a super mega team though, as most of the Persona games force the main characters to use only one demon (called a persona in the game, hence the title), usually excluding the main character where you can still fuse demons for the main character to use for themselves. It usually does not involve the heavy recruitment and collection of demons, but focuses more on fusion. Devil Survivor 1 and 2 for the handhelds are a combination of Final Fantasy Tactics' grid-based turn based strategy system while maintaining the combat system of the original SMT games. Other than that, they're aren't TOO different from the main titles in terms of gameplay. Story wise, the main titles will usually be a bit more philosophical, and focus on concepts of law, chaos and humanity's choice (one, the other or neither) to salvation in face of apocalypse. Chaos usually focuses on the idea of the strong survive and the weak die, and whoever has power can do whatever they wish. Law focuses on peace, order and balance in exchange for freedom and being oppressed by a smiteful God (YHVH) and being killed if they do not swear undying and unwavering devotion to God. Neutrality is usually considered the "good" endings in the game series as they reject the chaos and law routes, and usually strive to find a means to save humanity without resorting to the absolute rule of an oppressive God or the constant pressure of an endless war among everyone. Persona does NOT focus on this AT ALL, and is usually a group of schoolkids who gain powers, solve murders every now and then and thwart an absolute evil. Chaos, Law and Neutrality are not touched upon in this at all, and focuses more on character development than anything. The Persona games can basically be considered Scooby-Doo esque. Kids get together, stop spooky ghosts, save the day. Devil Survivor focuses on Law, Chaos and Neutrality in face of an apocalypse like the main games, and also have some forms of character development. I could have written much more but I'm being forced out the door to my next class. [/book]
  21. my dick is rock hard I only have a PC at home, but I managed to play it for 14 hours straight at a friends house a few days ago (he had work to do and just went to bed early before you think I purposely hi-jacked the game from him or something). I managed to clear The Rotten and that pizza shit Duke Spider boss along with the Lost Sinner before the day was done. That only fueled my hype for the game for the next month and week or so. So so good. Twinblades were disappointing. Kind of like the new whip; flashy and for show but kind of silly and useless from what I saw. The actual whips though, oh ho man they were pretty sweet. There's even a whip to do innate bonus damage against Hollows. Belmont build is real again. Stuck with the Pursuer's Greatsword for the most part though and OH MY GOD, ULTRA GREATSWORDS HAVE NO RIGHT TO SWING THAT FAST HOLY SHIT. I also wouldn't use DaS1 on PC as a benchmark. The optimization for DaS1 on PC was absolutely god-awful, and even the rigs with the literal best hardware available to the public would run the game like garbage. That was the major flaw from the PC port.
  22. If you get this, you get an e-cookie.
  23. I chose mine because I love SMT. Matador is one of the more memorable demons in the game due to being a massive difficulty wall in Nocturne, and he is also my favorite demon.
  24. I don't think any of the lords would get their hands on a COMP, but if they had to, I could at least say that: Hector, Ephraim, Lyndis and Sothe would wind up with Chaos demons. Eliwood, Marth, Caeda, Roy, Lilina and Micaiah would get Law demons. Eirika, Lucina, Chrom and Ike would probably get Neutral demons I don't know which ones would be their signature ones, but I think that would be the gist of it.
