  1. You can SEE the enemies in this example, so you can avoid the fights. That's the little and main difference. I would even sorta understand, if it was referred to fatigue. Exactly, especially healers and Lara suffer more for having low HP. Using HP stat as base is poor in this regard. It should be based on gained experience per chapter.
  2. God, I can't believe how exciting soccer matches can be. The one I watched has the been the craziest match ever. I don't find soccer particulary interesting, but it's a rarity to see a match in free TV, so I did it and didn't regret anything. Looks interesting. Will check it once I've the time. Fatigue is still a better mechanic than random encounters for sure since it's in the hands of the player who can avoid the encounters. Fatigue in Persona 3 was a really nice mechanic. In general more JRPGs should bring it up. One reason I like Thracia 776, even if it's not executed very well.
  3. Imagine your party is low on health, you have no healing items anymore and there's no savepoint near by, and suddenly a fight triggers out of the blue. This is why this mechanic shouldn't exist. Fair, but speedruns should exist for all genres. What is this?
  4. In the Liberl and Crossbell series I only do like a couple of Pom fights early on which give me the experience to walkthorugh the upcoming dungeons without engaging any encounters.
  5. By the existing of random encounters it automatically erases (dis)advantage encounters. Also the mentioned games I mentioned don't even have an appealing battle system for me. I mean Final Fantasy's is like Atelier Ryza's, just worse.
  6. Yup, exactly! Applied to Bravely Default and all Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest games I've played yet. I think Octopath Traveler had them too, but I quitted it because I couldn't beat the first boss (which was a 1 vs. 1 fight btw).
  7. Random counters slow down the game and can be distractful. Especially for players who don't want to grind for speedruns, they are a pain in the ass. Yeah, I remember this. I mean I sorta tolerate Phantasia's random encounters for having a great battle theme. Decided to continue Persona 5 Royal. It feels like a textbook for me with all the long dialogues. It doesn't help that I know the entire content already by playing the regular game. Sumire was shown up for a minute, otherwise it just feels like a replay of Persona 5. The only difference it's the first Persona game which was localised for me. I don't know if Persona 4 Golden was localised since I haven't played this one (and never will). Seeing the arcana supports translated feels absolutely weird. Who doesn't get used to I am thou, thou art I...?
  8. Oh, I forgot there have been 3-4* instant demotes. But I think this is also past since I haven't seen this lately. Stealing the character's spotlight was not quite accurately worded, rather stealing the story and music. I was miffed when no FE5 music was played in the FE5 banner with Peony. In the Mirabilis banner FE13 music was played on the other hand. A villain banner would feature four regular characters from Heroes after all. Ok, I name its child Heroes banner from now on to prevent misunderstandings.
  9. Then I don't really understand the point of the remake if it's just a little fragment of the original game. Can't judge about the main characters. At least VII's start of the story was more intense and Cloud seems to be a badass guy. Wait, now that I remember, wasn't Cloud in a FE romhack? I'm fairly sure I played as this guy before (aside of Smash).
  10. What does it mean exactly? Will it get sequel(s). I only have played VI before for a very little bit which was at least easier to make progress because I couldn't remember having issues with the camera angles. I cancelled because there was one boss I didn't understand at all. Though I have to say the main character in VII appeals me more. In general I can't think any Final Fantasy game will appeal me unless the game mechanics have been changed significantly through the years.
  11. Oooh, thanks! It took some seconds, but it worked! It takes so long that I still can do these fights. Besides the random encounters I hardly can see where to go since the camera angles are so awkward that I can easily miss little holes where to go through. Maybe I should play the remake then. Anyways it was just a little excursion. I really don't tend to play the game seriously as other games from this series. It feels slow and clunky, not something I could enjoy for multiple hours. The game and series might be good for people who grew up with JRPG gameplay from the 90s. I didn't, so I let them aside. I don't know if the remake changed things.
  12. How can I run away? I didn't see a flee / retreat command. This is true, but I don't even know what this is suppossed to be. Half cut through spaghetti trap? I've never ever seen something like this in real life. Though I guess it applies to lot of things in anime.
  13. Me and playing bad games. This is a try to get into RPGs from the 90s. Though it miserably fails due to one mechanic I absolutely despise: random encounters And the worse: You can't escape them. Idk if it is the case in old Dragon Quest or Tales games. They don't only slow down the game, but they also break the player's rhythm. People can praise these games, but this one mechanic disqualifies them all for me.
  14. Shares my opinion. Although for me Xenblade is very good whilst Melly is amazing.
  15. This is what I kinda don't hope... because I'm busted now. Need and want a +atk Lys so badly. Oh, Tsubasa has moonbow too. She's my most wanted 5* exclusive blue I don't have, so 100% reason for me to pull from this banner. My third guess is Gerik who I have, but wouldn't mind to get more copies because he has amazing skills to pass. As for the New Heroes banner I think it'll be something no one would expect like Tokyo Mirage Sessions. True, FE10 hasn't had a banner in this book yet, but I could imagine this could become an appetizer for the new book.
  16. It has to be said she wore just a stupid looking two-part. I never could kill a default Ingrid.
  17. I did some incredible crime in Fire Emblem Heroes. Ashnard or rather Rajaion ate my copy of Ingrid for the B skill. She wanted to become a general, but at the end she became dinner. Means Ingrid followed Petrine's footprints.
  18. I would be able to eat it within a day. Edit: Can't beat the Noppons naturally.
  19. Learning how to use the hoverboard perfectly is essential for post game. I think it's the first Tales game which introduced such a nice vehicle like this.
  20. There are still plenty of villains left in the current book, so I would assume that a villains banner will be brought before closing the book. August might be too early though. I don't hope they will bring up random mythics like Mirabilis to the remaining new heroes banners till the end because they just steal spots of new heroes from regular games.
  21. Oh, thanks for letting know. Do you know if it's recommendable? I would be probably more interested if more Trails series than Sky had been represented. And I'm not that familar with Ys so far.
