  1. I caught interest in "Metroidvanias", though rather "Castlevania" than "Metroid". I have beaten "Touhou Luna Nights" and "Kirby And The Amazing Mirror". Both were excellent g ames and first one was one of the hardest games I have played yet. Wanted to retry "Symphony Of The Night" soon. I know "Metroid" will get a new game next week, however I am not a big fan of space and aliens stuff. Hey there!
  2. Just started with that a few days ago. Found on Discord a friend who is teaching me a bit and the programm (streaming for each other). I'm attempting to make a sprite of Lysithea for my RPG. Since I have free next week, I hope I can share (good) results here. 👋 Animal Crossing and especially the addition of N64. I just hope the expansion pass will not become that expensive. Hopefully not more than 50%, means 30 $ per year.
  3. 👋 Rubenio and Shrimperor Currently I am playing "Tales of Arise" and "Mario Odyssey". Both are amazing so far. There is not too much to say about first since it is still a standard "Tales"game of its series, just having excellent characterization and plot. However as for latter I was surprised about the open world. It reminds me on "Zelda" a lot. Not a fan of 3D "Zelda" games myself, but I love exploration in "Odyssey" so far. Also playing "Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory" as filler. This one is an interesting rhythm game although probably not the best part to approach the series. Only have played a bit of III yet, but I had to delete my videos because of copyright complaints, so dropped it. I decided to get a Wii U to have access to VC, so I picked up some classics (among others "Blazing Sword" and "Sacred Stones") like "Golden Sun" and "Kirby 64". I am glad I have purchased only one N64 game yet since they will make their appearance on Switch soon. Edit: I also grabbed "Undertale" recently. Will play it before the "Deltarune" duology.
  4. cool I also am continuing on my SRPG Studio project and also learning how to draw sprites with a professional drawing programm. Anyways I am gonna play "Tales Of Arise", so cya sometime soon! I try to be here more often as long my freetime allows to.
  5. cool, have fun! Besides of work and exams I have played quite a bit of games lately. Also Direct was surprisingly appealing for me for multiple reasons.
  6. What's up? Decided to check this place out again since I have a little break from essential stuff rn.
  7. I was quite "diligent" in terms of gaming since my last update some months ago. Finished games: Super Mario Galaxy Deemo Kirby And The Rainbow Curse Kirby 64 Kirby Battle Royale (story mode) Golden Sun Touhou Luna Nights Touhou Skyloft Currently playing: Super Mario Odyssey Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory Since I have a Wii U now - mainly for its virtual console and less for its games (only owning Kirby And The Rainbow Curse and Star Fox Zero) I have access to play some GBA and N64 jewels. Finally I can play FE7 and FE8 legally. As for N64 games I only own Kirby 64 and I might not get anymore games for the Wii U depending on the price of the expansion pack of Nintendo Switch Online. Since DK64 and the Banjo duology is not offered for Wii U, I might get the expansion pack instead since these games I never could but always wanted to play. As for the reported games I would like to give a shoot out to Kirby And The Rainbow Curse and Touhou Luna Nights. Despite first being a drawing subgame, Kirby And The Rainbow Curse made lots of fun. The level design was very creative and the boss fights were tough for Kirby standards. The soundtrack was among the best in the Kirby series. Touhou Luna Nights was my first "Metroidvania" I have ever beaten. This game was really HARD, but it never frustrated me. Despite replaying a boss to like 100 times, I always felt motivated to learn the boss's attack patterns and how to dodge their attacks. Some features of freezing time or making a stairs with knife made it become a very creative level design. Some platformer sections were really tough and also required some attempts to master them. As for this the OST was amazing. For Touhou spin off a very good game.
  8. A 3D Kirby game is all I wanted and needed. Assuming it will be released in the last week of April to his 30th anniversary. Playing N64 games on Switch is a big bonus although I got a few games for Wii U's virtual console already. So I might have spent a bit money for the corpse. Have not played the demo of Triangle Strategy yet, but since it looks very similar to Octopath Traveler, I'm not too excited in this right now, but who knows... That alone made the Direct amazing for me!
  9. Hey...I still do exist...well...though not enitrely here actually. I cleared my mind in the past weeks mainly because I felt not well enough with my melancholic mood to make posts matching the thread's standards. Well, anyways I used the time to make some streams with friends just have to have a bit fun with people, even if they're "just" virtual. I have been streaming a lot lately and also will do it in the future since having people with me gives me the motivation to finish the games I have had in my inventory for so much time. I have finished Mario Galaxy 1, Yoshi's Island and Ys Oath of Felghana in the past weeks. Though the actual main thing is that I have passed my first exam of civil servant course today which is definitely something I can be happy and maybe a little bit proud of. Yet a long way is to go. Situation for my relatives hasn't changed for my relatives the last time I was here, but there won't any relevant changes in near future unfortunately. Anyways just wanted to say "hey" to prove that I'm still alive, but also tell that I am not longer an active member of this forum since I have decided to be active elsewhere, a place which gives me more motivation and also satisfaction. It's not that I dislike this forum or thread, but having the opportunity to act with other people gives me more motivation than just chatting. My Youtube channel is open to everyone - this is not served as promotion - but only as invitation to maybe make some projects with me. I am going to start Fire Emblem Warriors and Shin Megami Nocturne, so these are games which might be appealing for joining. Regardless I will go again and wish everyone of you a good future!
  10. Thanks Since they have no electricity and their phone's battery will not last forever, I will hardly have contact to them the next days. I have no idea how long it will take that the water will be gone, but even after that, everything must be cleared. I think they will be stuck till the weekend for sure. Anyways I will leave for now since I'm not feeling well...also must do some not cool phone calls rn.
  11. Uncle told me via what's app that his flat is completely under water and currently in a care station rn. As said my uncle and aunt are isolated without since the water is still on the streets and will be cared with food via helicopters. I simply wish nobody coming in a situation like this. same town
  12. F**k, the building of my aunt's flat was partly overflooded by the rain. They were lucky that they lived on the top floor (4th), but the first two floors had to be evacuated. However nontheless they have no electricity and water, my uncle is +70 and my aunt has dementia. Called them, but the connection was so bad probably because of a broken net due to the rain. When I saw a picture next to their flat of the caused river on TV, I knew this would have turned out as it did. My grandpa who also lives a few km away next to the same river (however on bottom floor) can't be contacted, so I do not know about his whereabouts.
  13. Wow, someone posted in a seven year old topic of Chiki. I think only hardcore members like me and maybe Acacia remember "that" person. This topic is about as old as me in this forum. Anyways time to continue Felghana.
  14. Yes, they are. I have not played Hugo's route, but I couldn't see any disgust to him by playing Yunica's story. Well, mid day break is over already, so bye bye.
  15. One of the points Origin made become my first finished Ys game. Though in general the soundtrack of the older Ys games is so much MUCH better than the latest ones. I started a bit Oath of Felghana yesterday, and gameplaywise this one feels similar to Origin which is definitely good.
  16. Space Jam sequel will be released in the cinema today. I have not seen any previews about it, so I am kinda interested in the reviews. My opinion was that no classic movie like this needs a remake after almost a quarter decade. However I love Looney Tunes, so I am still interested, rather curious quite a bit in this.
  17. Ys Origin OST - Genesis Beyond the Beginning - YouTube
  18. Thanks! Weather is still literally pissing rn though.
  19. The road next to my home has turned into a lake due to the rain. I almost thought I'd be saved from the rain or worse, but it looks like I celebrated too early. The flood rain storm just has begun. It will become an unpeaceful night.
  20. I finished Ys Origin (Yunica's story) today. First of all it has been my first Ys game I have finished yet because unlike the others this gave me the motivation to do it. The controls were better than in I, the 2D graphics are more clear than 3D for me, a short but well enough told story only focussed on the essential. The bosses were hard, even on easy mode, after taking a bit time to see their attacks, they were absolutely managable even for a Ys noob as I am. However the most notable aspect of the game is its music. I only have played a bit of Ys 8 (whose OST didn't impress me), but Origin's OST was a masterpiece. Only the music was already motivation enough for me to play it through. I needed nine hours (retries not included which would made about eleven), but even for being short, I can absolutely recommend this game to all who like action RPG dungeon crawlers with a marvelous OST. Overall this was the perfect Ys game for me. I will do the two other stories as modes an other time since I do not feel like to replay the exact same game even if with slightly different gameplay. Instead I am going to continune the series with Oath of Felghana. rating: 8.25 / 10
  21. Break time, so time for a little Ys Origin review: First of all it has been my first Ys game I have finished yet because unlike the others this gave me the motivation to do it. The controls were better than in I, the 2D graphics are more clear than 3D for me, a short but well enough told story only focussed on the essential. Having different characters than Adol was also a refreshment for me. Here are a few themes: Ys Origin OST - Scarlet Tempest - YouTube Ys Origin - Music: Scars of the Divine Wing - YouTube Ys Origin OST - Beyond the Beginning - YouTube I must say of all played Falcom games this had the best OST...maybe tied with Trails of Azure. I needed nine hours (retries not included which would made about eleven), but even for being short, I can absolutely recommend this game to all who like action RPG dungeon crawlers with a marvelous OST. This game gave me the mood to make me continuning the series with Oath of Felghana. PS: I will do the other characters's story an other time, same goes for Time Attack (assuming it's a boss rush mode)
  22. Beaten Ys Origin. Will give a short resume later since I'm at work actually rn. Glad I could beat in time before the main business starts, even if it took me some time to understand how to damage final boss's second phase.
