Kirby And The Forgotten Land

Just have beaten the final boss. I enjoyed it because it was not what I really expected. I will post a detailed summary once I have done the postgame. However I can easily say it is my favorite Kirby game considering the detailed and pretty design of the stages and its gorgeous soundtrack. -

Forgotten Land might have the huge stage area (like A Hat In Time) as I was hoping for, but everything else is superb. You can see on the little graphic details like a detailed map in a theme park how much love was put into this game. Even the music is very unique for having like no remixes which is not Kirby-likish (Block Ball excluded). So far this game is amazing! -

I am bit more than halfway done, I guess (third stage of world five), but I can say much that I have a lot of fun with this game. The stages are not as open as I thought they would be, but this is the only minor critcism I have right now. Otherwise this game offers lots of variety by having so many special abilites, implemented very well. The puzzles are fair for most of the time, but it is still easy to miss the one or other secret path. Having hidden side mission objectives gives the game replaybility, if going for 100%. The thing which impresses me the most is the detailed graphic. It is not hard to see that lots of love was put into this game. Also the music is very different than I expected. it is very unique for the most time, means like no remixes and some stage themes are really long, so not repetitive at all. So far this game gets a big 👍 from my side. -

Today I will get my probably only game from 2022 which is Kirby And The Forgotten Land. Logically I am quite excited for that. I know Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will also be released in this year, but I do not think to get before it goes on sale. -

Fie and Sara had barely any plot relevance in Cold Steel IV. They were in the backround for the most part as the original Class VII. Aside of that I do not see Alisa in that list. Since we are talking about it, I take the opportunity to share a banger: Sen no Kiseki IV OST - Ashita e no Kiseki - YouTube -

Just wanted to remind that this game will be released tomorrow. For people who are not sure about it, should try out the demo. Once I have finished it, I will post a spoilerfree review. -

Just finished the demo (twice with upgraded weapons). Cannot say more that I love the open world gameplay à la Mario Odyssey and A Hat In Time combined with some cutscenes. It does not feel like a standard Kirby game, but I love the "new" direction of being more open. The upgraded weapons did not impress me too much I have to say, but it was really the only thing which was not great. Otherwise I will become goty for me for sure...unless something unexpected will happen which I highly doubt it will happen. -

I do not like this game, but the music is indeed bangerish. 9 Kirby and the Rainbow Curse: The Final Battle (vs. Dark Crafter) - YouTube

how? too late? I have plenty of other games to play until it, so the (late) date of release does not bother me. I just hope Azure will not come out that much later than Zero (not later than a year). -

...I did not even know Atelier Sophie got a sequel. Oh well, I have not bothered with Atelier for a quite while including not having finished Ryza 2 yet which I have owned for over a year already. I hope Shin Megami Tensei V will finally see a sale. Though I yet have to beat Nocturne before. -
Any games that you really wanted to like but just couldn't?
MisterIceTeaPeach replied to ciphertul's topic in General Gaming
Many RPGs like (classic) Final Fantasy, Octopath Traveler or Etrian Odyssey. Either their difficulty was too hard, or other tedious game mechanics like random encounters made me want to drop it. As for Final Fantasy I enjoyed the bit of XII what I have played yet for being actionbased similar to Xenoblade Chronicles. I was very sceptical about Fire Emblem Warriors despite loving the main franchise, but I dropped it because the hectic gameplay is too chaotic for me and I do not enjoy button smashing either. Warriors game are a big no for me. Kirby Canvas Curse was a big disappointment compared to Rainbow Curse (which was amazing). The gameplay of CC was so lacking like a drawn line vanishes at once once a new one is drawn. Also the minigame against Paint Roller was an absolute mess since it needed like perfect precession on clicking the right button with that extremely tiny screen and hitbox. Furthermore the levels's areas were extremely tight near the end without having much room for corrections. Probably I would have a different opinion, if I had not played Rainbow Curse. On the other hand I had played CC, I might not even have played RC for disliking its gameplay too much. -
