  4. No, Ike is the main character. Marth => FE1 / 11 + 3 / 12 Roy => FE6 If you want to play a game with all famous FE character, then you have to play FE13 Awakening.
  5. I've checked out her growthrates and was shocked! 25% speed growth (wtf?) and 10% defense. That's even worse than Yuno from FE6 and the lowest speed growthrate of all beorc units. I always thought 30% would be the lowest speed growth. However she's not complete useless. Using her for the triangle attack is probably her biggest pro. Her strength and skill are good, but her pathetic speed ruins her. Even bexp. is hard to use her, because even if skill and luck are maxed, it will be still pretty tedious to increase her speed. It's actually quite a shame, because she's the leader of the Holy Guard with the task to save the Empress. So I expect a great unit with great growths. Though she becomes to the slowest pegasus knight in the entire FE series and beorc in FE10.
  6. Herons can use magic cards too and theoretically kill things?! LOL and I even thought herons would be pacifists. Seriously I only use the magic card in 2-1 to get the boss conversation between Heather and Yeardley. I'll definitely use these things more in the future.
  7. forge an iron axe for Nolan and Jill and a steel axe in 1-F for Jill make earth-earth supports (Nolan-Volug / Nolan-Zihark / Zihark/Volug) try to support Jill with one of the earth units if you spend status items, then only give them to Jill give Tauroneo's resolve to Micaiah. This makes 1-9 a lot easier. I'd recommend to use Edward in part 1 too because of his high speed.

  9. Agreed with second part. However it was a fair system. The boosts weren't too ridiculous as they're in FE13. True... my memories are complety gone already. NPCs used vulneraries or elixirs (Libra, Say'ri...)

  11. Likes FE5. Actually I don't know, if he will continue it in the near future since he started the F-Zero playthrough. It doesn't matter, because in the meanwhile I've completed FE6 on hard mode for myself. And there are lots of other good Fire Emblem LPs I can watch atm.
  12. FE8 and 9 (western version) were too easy on highest difficulty. FE11 and 12 had a good range of different difficulties: From easy (for newcomers) to superhard. So I vote for them. Anyway I don't want to see anything like the lunatic + skills back. It was a terrible idea to make a game artificially harder.
  13. Tbh I'm not a big fan of cavaliers in general. In FE7 and 8 I bench them all after the time, because they turn out pretty badly. However in my FE6 hard mode run Alan and Lance were a great duo. Fast, powerful and could take some hits. Alan had a little more defense than Lance so I voted for Alan.

  15. Deke's level up wasn't too bad. Only two stats, but speed and defense are important stats especially speed. He's one of the best earlygame units. He has great bases and his high con enables him to use heavier weapons like the armorslayer without speed penalty. And like I said, swordusers are pretty damn useful thanks to their high accuracy. So I highly recommend to use him in the earlygame at least. Healers in the GBA series always have pathetic base magic. Natasha in FE8 also starts with only two magic. However the magic growths of the FE6 healers aren't all that great either.

  18. 35% speed growth for two main characters is bad. It's the second lowest growth rate of the beorcs (30% is the lowest). On higher difficulties you must be worried that Micaiah will be doubled in the earlygame and Ike (without PoR boosts) will have problems to reach 27 speed in time not to be doubled by BK in 3-7. Even on hard mode Ike can double all the enemy swordmasters. In 4-1 the swordmasters have 27-28 speed so a level 1 vanguard Ike with the maximum of 32 speed doubles them all. The falcon knight boss has 29 speed so he needs 33. In 4-4 the swordmasters have 30-31 speed.
  19. Looks interesting so far. Two important things: Physical range weapons have terrible accuracy in this game. So I'd recommend to use each mage you get (Lugh, Lilina, Raigh). Swords have still better accuracy against lances than axes despite weapon triangle disadvantage. Axes and lances have poor hitrate in general. Wolt is really not a good archer. You'll get another one in chapter 6 with higher strength and speed growth.

  22. To promote at least 2-3 units (Edward, Nolan and Jill) for part 3 is very recommendable. Leonardo doesn't have to be promoted at least for 3-6 yet, because the enemies only have melee range weapons. Giving them bexp. is fine to increase their non maxed stats. On easy / normal mode you'll get enough of bexp. so don't worry about using it. Using Lugnasadh (speed boost) and Tarvos (defense boost) is also fine. I would save the brave axe and instead using a forged axe for Jill. Unless on hard mode I wouldn't spend all the status items too early. They're rare in the game and I only like to give them to units, I want to bring to the endgame. My main target is to max as many stats as possible. However I'd recommend to give one of the two angelic robes to Jill, because her HP isn't too great at this point.
