  1. During the presentation it was said, that the players always had to do certaind decisions in the games. Which units to use, which strategy, who to support etc. However they want to improve upon this, so, what could they mean by that? Or, what do you hope they mean? I actually am not sure what this could be. Several routes like Eirika/Ephraim in FE 8? Only being able to recruit 1 out of several characters? Maybe more gaiden chapters that actually change the later maps/story (weakening an enemy stronghold so in a later mission not that much enemies appear for example)?
  2. Fire Emblem: If ... Marcus was the main protagonist of a game in Elibe with an eastern flair. Wait what?
  3. If we get no marriage system I would actually like a return to the "normal" support system of the older games. And somehow I don't want another marriage system or to be more precise, another game with 2 generations (unless they do something like in FE 4, but please no more time travel stuff). As for the avatar, I am pretty sure we will get another one. It would be nice to not have access to all classes, but instead only a pool so the unit wouldn't be that broken. Aside from that, more customization overall in terms of graphics and maybe even growths. A mix of answering questions, choosing a strength/flaw and maybe even choosing a favorite and least favorite class in order to determine which classes and stats/growths the character get would be quite nice.
  4. It definitly has an eastern setting. Which is a first in the series and which I actually like. I am more interested in the giant monster and the "brute" fought near the end of the trailer. Monster/Risen/Something else?
  5. If, it would be Nah. She can get blue hair color, right? Right?
  6. Eastern setting. HYPE! <3
  7. Saw it now. The eastern setting is interesting, it's a first in the series.
  8. And I was having dinner. AAAAAH, I NEED A RECAP!!! D:
  9. I like how these high enemy stats are now just accepted as standard, because your own units are so strong by now. xD
  10. Yeah, but it still has the lowest enemies (aside from Scramble Pack and Champions of Yore) I could do with my "each DLC only once".
  11. This sadly is "normal" in the genre. I introduced some friends to DotA (who are now better then I am, because they play way more often then me xD) by playing with them against the AI (back in Warcraft 3 actually), playing a bit against each other in smaller teams and teaching them the basics. And later on when you face real people instead of the AI since you know the basics you are good after a few games. I really think the only way to learn such a game and have fun without being called bad all of the time (because, let's face it, you still have to learn the mechanics somehow so you are indeed bad at the beginning) is to have a friend teach it to you. Or if not a friend at least a willing person to do so.
  12. Beat C14, wasn't to hard after I found out where I could place Anna without her dying (she survived one attack, but a second would have killed her in most cases). Donnel got quite a few level ups, I reclassed Nowi into a Wyvern and gave her a forged Bronze Axe. Chrom had to face tank quite a bunch of the enemies, but the others still got quite a few exp. Well, Lucina wasn't there, which is sad, but I think it will be okay. Kjelle's Paralogue seems to be the easiest one (at least level and stat wise). Maybe I try Lost Bloodlines 1 again, but I don't think I can beat that yet.
  13. This game in mutliplayer, so good. The disconnects left and right in multiplayer, so bad. I really enjoy this game with some friends, but one of them is playing it on Linux. And it seems the multiplayer between Linux and Windows users is just plain shit. The game disconnects most of the time, some tiems after 30 minutes, some times after 60 minutes - some times right after unpausing the game. And instead of fixing it seems each patch only makes it worse. It's really sad, because it's such a good game. D: Edit: Are you playing in iron man mode (or whatever it is called) were you only get autosave? Achievements only work in that mode in Single Player.
  14. Tried C14 today. It seems easier then I first thought, but it seems I have to bench Lucina, because I need a thief and I have no keys for the chests. And benching someone of the stronger units is sadly out of the question for now. I hope this doesn't turn into a problem later on, as I definitly want to use her and with being only level 10 she does need the exp... >_>
  15. For a "normal" Playthrough, just for the first time I would definitly rank Julius/Julia and Ashera as some of the hardest bosses. Fe 4 in general is imo pretty hard on your very first runthrough and it only gets more ridiculous later on. And Ashera is really pretty strong with her barrier and the spawning wisps as well as her attacks. If stuff like hard mode and above gets included, yes, I can see stuff like Awakening Chapter 1 boss getting pretty high.
  16. Fire Emblem already has an established antagonist who is called RNG Godess. That one even fools you into believing to be on your side because your 23% attacks hit - but then you get a reminder when you eat that 1% critical and reset. Edit: And of course someone mentioned the exact same thing 2 posts after I stopped reading to write this. >_>
  17. I took a look at chapter 14 and I am scared. xD I am actually not sure which map would be the easiest now. From the level of the enemies, Kjelle's paralogue and C14 seem to be about equal. I could also go to Lost Bloodlines 1 or Morgan's paralogue, his however seems to be a bit harder. Then again, I am going to get swarmed in pretty much all maps and I have no idea how I should block all three passages on C14. Huh, will get interesting, I suspect Chrom/Sully and Tharja/Lon'qu with Nosferatu will face tank two locations, while the rest of the team has to heal and kill other units. God, I don't wanna! xD Edit: I just tried Lost Bloodlines 1. There is no way I can beat that, Raydrick is way to powerful, I can't kill him (as he gets healed) before the whole right side attacks. And in there is stuff like Astra Seliph.
  18. My first game was FE 7 when it was released in europe. I also heavily relied on Marcus and he got to level 20 I think on the first KIshuna chapter... xD I saw that it didn't really work out and restarted the game, this time no relying on him. I think I recruited everyone I could, but I am not completely sure about that. I never let anyone die (well, I did play some SRPGs before, mainly Final Fantasy Tactics, Vandal Hearts and Legend of Kartia for the PS 1) but I just couldn't beat the final chapter without one person dead. So I ended my very first playthrough of my very first Fire Emblem game with a dead Dorcas in the final chapter. :( I am much better nowadays, but I still think I haven't beaten any of the games on hard mode (for the simply reason that I rarely replay games - and stuff like FE 8 has 2 routes and in FE 7 you have to play all modes on normal first). I will most likely tackel FE 7 and 8 again for the simply reason that I bough both on my Wii U. And will try out some stuff, like FE 8 girls only Eirika run. xD
  19. I beat chapter 13. After some retries to know when and what reinforcements spawned I simply killed a few units the first few turns and then blocked with Chrom/Sully the eastern path and unequipped Chroms weapon. I then sniped the enemies with my other characters (Long Bow Archer and Sniper were the biggest problem then) which resulted in TONS of experience. To be more precise, level 20 Virion (17), 20 Cordelia (16) and 20 Lon'qu (17) as well as some level ups for all other characters. I also reclassed Donnel into a mercinary. I know have to craft a Bronze Sword so he is useful again, but since he only got +stats when I reclassed him he is probably still more useful now then he was before. xD
  20. I sadly can't really answer that, because I started that run sometime last year and have no idea what exactly I did to level up Donnel. Maribelle and Frederick are paired together for the simply reason that all my other units already had better supports and those were the only ones on my active team that didn't have any support beyond C level. So, yeah, since then they are together, but Frederick (who is lvel 9 1/2 curretnly) doesn't really do much. One reason is he can't double enemies and the other is Maribelle who has to heal pretty much every turn. Donnel has the same problem, he is nearly level 16 but can't double enemies (but also won't get doubled, unless he faces myrmidons or promoted units) but can't do much because Lissa has to heal. I also think about reclassing him since he already learned his two skills, but he has like 93 exp, so 1 or 2 more levels are probably better instead of reclassing now (I also have no idea what exactly I would do then, he would be more useless because his stats would probably change for the worse). Huh, okay, just thought so because even in early levels they get stronger, so locations doesn't seem to matter on lunatic anymore.
  21. Just a quick question: Are both normal and hard mode already implemented?
  22. Well, I promoted her in the middle of C13 when she reached level 20. And since I am pairing her with Lon'qu (who is currently level 17) she is doubling pretty much everything anyways. xD Currently, as a level 1 sorceror she has 21 speed. Paired up with him she reaches 29. So, yeah... xD My other pairs currently are Sully + Chrom (who could probably solo most maps, as Sully is already promoted), Lissa + Donnel (who is nearly level 16 at the moment), Nowi + MU (Nowi is also 15) and Cordelia + Virion (both unpromoted, but with their master weapons they both have 30-40%+ crit chance, which is quite neat). Maribelle + Frederick are only at B rank currently, but after this map I do hope they reach A rank (and Maribelle has also been promoted so she can actually fight back). Edit @above: Yes, that is normal. They have the average level of your team. And since Frederick is promoted and most likely 1 or 2 of your units are pretty strong compared to the rest, the overall level is higher then your average team.
  23. I played my first (and until now only completed) run on Hard classic. I also struggled quite a bit in the beginning and I really think the first few chapters are pretty hard. Even chapter 1 and 2 are quite a bit harder compared to pretty much most other Fire Emblem games. I actually though the game became easier the farther I got with a few exceptions here and there. That reinforcements move as soon as they appear also didn't really help, that caused many resets on some levels. Lastly, the stats the enemies gain on harder difficulties are extreme. I think the only other games that had such huge jumps were FE 6 and FE 9 (Maniac Mode). Just take a look at the stats from the prologue boss - and then remember, that each normal enemy also gets these stat boosts, not only bosses. It's just insane. So, with that in mind, there is no shame in playing on normal mode.
  24. FE 4 could have some interesting conversations between the now not so dead parents and their children. That aside, since some of the normal characters even now have a few lines when they battle specific characters on the DLC maps these could have conversations for example.
