The pictures are original, but the TRS style is strong with the portraits. In any case, hyped.

To my knowledge, such a patch doesn't exist as of now. What you can do is make a save state prior to the ending, get an unpatched rom (or just remove the patch temporarily if you're soft-patching), load the state and you can view your turncounts and such. If you just want to see the ending, you can find some translations here.

Nyarlathotep from Persona 2: IS (the PSX version, I hear the situation was different in the PSP port). Maybe it's just the sheer contrast between the difficulty of the rest of the game and of the final boss, but I recall just ragequitting the game there. All of the prior bosses were complete pushovers and I thought the last ones would follow suit. Hitler was as easy as expected but the following fight really caught me off guard. I'm not sure if it's actually considered to be all that tough of a fight, but the difficulty spike is definitely there. It may also be that my memory is exaggerating it, but I have no way to check since my save file is long gone. EDIT Oh, completely forgot Vagullion from Ys 1 (Complete/Chronicles) on Nightmare. Worst boss ever.

Shadow Dragon's lozalization can't get enough praise. I don't have a strong opinion on the latter, but I'll say FE9 since they actually bothered to omit a higher difficulty setting.

How would you feel about a game with mostly 'generic' bosses?
Topazd replied to SEVA's topic in General Fire Emblem
True, and none of their katakana names are written identically. -
What Fire Emblem game has your favorite soundtrack?
Topazd replied to Nobody's topic in General Fire Emblem
I initially ticked FE10, but the answer is probably FE3 - especially if I discount Book 1. I don't have any song I dislike from Book 2 and many of them ('Beyond the Silence' is a notable example) just sound way superior in comparison to their FE12 renditions, in my ears. It's really tough to settle on just one, though.- 38 replies

Opinions about melee bows and ballistas
Topazd replied to MisterIceTeaPeach's topic in General Fire Emblem
I'm very fond of the FE11 ballistae (FE3 had none and the FE1 incarnations had no range to speak of), but other than that, not particularly.- 7 replies

FE5 is the least beginner-friendly, FE13 Luna+ is the hardest, followed by probably FE12 H4. I think that's the common opinion, but opinions get more varied beyond that point.

My disappointment with 2016's FE titles remains . . .
Topazd replied to Tamarsamar's topic in General Fire Emblem
I'd be lying if I said I like the direction of #FE, but perhaps it was all to be expected since it is going to be released on a system with comparatively low sales. Development costs are a lot higher than they once were and Atlus can't make all their products for very niche audiences. The sweet otaku bucks all the Persona-esque titles bring might even result to more available resources for the mainline SMT games in the long run, hopefully. All in all, I just won't buy #FE. I've complained about FE14's design choices in prior threads enough by now, I'll leave up to future judgement whether I'll purchase it or not. -
615 turns later, I am a changed man.

SF seems to have some problems with embedded photos as of late, clicking it should direct you to the right place though.- 4 replies

I was seriously confused until I realized the acronym had a different meaning in this context, haha.

I'm a bit on the fence whether Bigabu Beaze is the best or worst named NPC ever

I'd personally say 0 Exp runs are the most interesting to play, though nuzlockes do have the benefit of no required cheat codes or hacking to be implemented.

Oops, hadn't paid much attention to level additions to the base exp. Well, at least that's clarified now.

You can see the exp an enemy will net you upon defeat in the stats screen below their Res stat (where player units would have their current exp listed). Or you can check the values here, since they're always the same for each unit of the same class. Fixed exp yield is pretty neat and makes exp allocation very straightforward to plan, but it's sadly only a thing in FE1 and FE3.

Oh, forgot to include this, can't possibly be stressed enough. And I guess having 12 as my favourite FF is somewhat unpopular.
-
1) FE1 is great 2) Breath of Fire 1 is terrible 3) Suikoden 5 was my favourite 4) Tactics Ogre > FF Tactics 5) I like The 7th Saga

Josef Starling (in Zelenagrad, to be even subtler)

Whenever I feel obligated to nickname something (in Nuzlockes for example) I get frustrated because I'm terrible at naming things and just resort to using 'Reb Brown' for everything.

How would you feel about a game with mostly 'generic' bosses?
Topazd replied to SEVA's topic in General Fire Emblem
Part of what made FE1 so entertaining was the presence of a few recognizable fellows - most notably Himmler, Zhukov and Moses. Every minor boss reused the same portrait at that point in time, though. In the later entries in general, almost all of the minor bosses make a (not always insignificant) contribution to world-building, and they're something I'd hate to see go away. I wouldn't personally vouch for a change like this. -
Debates pertaining to moral issues are very exhausting in general, so I won't go at length about that. Admittedly I do have siblings and am a bit disturbed by such relationships. But if we assume the legislature (whichever it may be) will be absolutely secular, I've no doubt both of these will be legalized in some form or another in the future. The ever more prominent sense of morality seems to revolve around consent, and incest and polygamy both can easily fit within that frame - with a few concessions. Other than the potential issues with abuse/inbreeding, I don't see many obstacles in the legislation's way, and they'll be worked around in some manner. Were it up to me, I'd be in no hurry to change the status quo, but it will almost undoubtedly go through one sooner or later.
