  1. Birthright really just throw money at you.

You wouldn't think it, but Conquest also consistently hauls money at you from C8 all the way to C20. It's a bit ridiculous. Then 22 gives you some and 23 gives you another dump. 24 is nothing, and 25 has a money chest but fuck 25 on LM just get the silence staff and leave. 26 gives you 20k and then 15k in value (3 S rank weapons) but the game's almost over anyway. Foleo's paralogue gives you 5k and Percy's paralogue can be lucrative as well but that one is tricky.

  2. Potentially early kids like Kamui!Sophie, Kamui!Dwyer, and Effie!Percy are better off recruited early. Other kids are probably best recruited after beating C20 since they get autoleveled to 20/6, learning their promoted level 6 skill and get any secondary weapon types auto boosted to D rank.

  3. Kotaro is like the lovechild of Henning and H5 Gazzak and is infuriatingly hard to hit because of FE6 throne bonuses and Duelist's Blow, plus he's a ninja so he can also debuff the shit out of you. Fuga's not quite as dodgy but he's significantly bulkier with WTA and he's on one of the worst maps.

For the sake of numbers, Kotaro has something like 80-85 avoid (not sure if Jounin's +5 avoid is factored into the stat screen) and 110-115 on player phase. That's just lmao. Fuuga is just as bad because if the unit in question does not kill him, they are inflicted with Str/Spd/Def seal and if they hit him but don't kill him, he gets +10 avoid due to his personal skill so he reaches Kotaro levels of dumb. C20's not too bad tho. It's a really fun map once you get the hang of it. Best I've done is 5 turns with the 10k chest and the rescue staff chest.

  4. Camilla can't really utilize tomes well, so I'd reclass her to Wyvern Lord-- or any physical class, really. Especially axe-based ones. As for Leo, his base class, Dark Knight, is great, but he can't utilize swords very well. You're better off making him a Sorcerer, Strategist, or Dark Falcon. Sorcerer kinda sucks, though, so imo you should decide between Strategist or Dark Falcon.

Whille this is true, there are a few niche situations you can use Tome!Camilla for. Base level Malig Cam with a magic tonic ORKOs Wyverns in C13 with the D tome. Tomes also negate Reina's bow weapon rank bonus which allows Camilla to engage her and not die. There's probably more, but yeah

  5. There's bad design, and then there's Nohr 19. That's shit design. Bosses like Conquest Kotaro and Fuuga are also shit design. Nohr's final chapter on Lunatic Mode is incredibly shit design that punishes players who misused their rescue staff charges. Bottom room of N26 is shit design.

Anytime defensive formation shows up. That's not a skill enemies should have.

Ninjas are just ugh as an enemy.

  6. Orochi and Hayato are p different. If they're trained for long enough, Orochi's mag advantage is about as big as Hayato's lead in speed. Hayato's defence also isn't THAT good, so both suffer from durability problems to some extent.

Since Orochi can A+ rank Rinkah (not that they care for the offensive stats the other one grants), Oni Chieftain is an option for her as well, and she will also be really bulky as one. Hayato's natural access to the class and higher speed probably makes him a better OC in the end, though.

Agreed that they both suffer durability issues. They are both each other's best pair up option anyway so in that event I'd assume Hayato would come out on top due to innate Chieftain and his better Spd growth giving him a better initial start since they have the same base but he has almost double her growth on top of gaining exp faster. Then again, the +4 HP lead Orochi has on him could make a difference. You could probably skip Chieftain altogether for Hayato and just have him go Basara which would leave another Parallel (Heart?) seal for you to use for someone ese, though there aren't many people hankering for a reclass at the midgame as opposed to the early game.

  7. Orochi's speed is fixable and her magic gets much higher with a better base and growth. Hayato's bulk and speed makes him a promising Oni Chieftain later on. Orochi is a good unit for Hoshido, while Hayato is a higher-end tome user in IK.

When taking into account Hayato's personal skill, he's got 1 less effective atk than her. He's level 1, so it's active for a while. His growth spread is also significantly better everywhere else while still having a high magic growth. Whatever we think of Orochi should apply to Hayato. Regardless, I don't consider either of them very good because their base performances are terrible.

Edit: Revelation Hayato tho? Dude's like the second coming of Asvel. So amazing.

  8. For the most part Oboro is trivialized by Camilla. She only needs a Speed Tonic and a Pair Up (mostly to avoid being ganged up on, but even in Hard she takes this stuff easily). Not sure with Lunatic.

The Freeze Staff is optional, but both strats posted by Tooru and myself do not use the Freeze Staff.

Woah even Colonel M is in on the fun. Aaaaanyway, Cam doesn't need a speed tonic, she just needs Luna pair up for the ORKO.

  9. I usually have a reclassed Jakob with Lances to handle it, but if you haven’t reclassed him or have Felicia, try debuff and then Niles with Arthur Guard Stance + Elise standing nearby with her Personal?

Ninja Kamui, or Silas/Effie w/ lances also handles the boss well.

  10. The personality change at least explains her strength, while J!Effie being that strong seems very suspect.

Her strength was already explained. The girl became strong so that she could be a knight strong enough to protect her childhood friend Elise. She continues to be strong so that she can defend her allies as well. It was an incredibly sweet aspect to her character that blended very well with how obscenely powerful she was, since it indirectly tells us the strength of her resolve. I loved her to pieces.

    But now it's like

    "Muh biceps"

    Help me I'm dying.

  11. Disregarding Corn.

Hoshido - The default mages are awful. If you want to target res, you're better off using the magical weapon variants (Shockstick/Explosive Shuriken).

Nohr - Leo is Tome Jesus, Nyx has RIP durability but good core growths and a very good base weapon rank for when she joins. Similar to Miriel, except Miriel had Awakening Nosferatu for her durability and Nyx doesn't. She's still decent in theory, having Dark Knight potentially. Odin is mediocre statistically.

Valla - Hayato is amazing, Orochi is still awful, Nyx and Odin are the worst units in the route, and Leo is still Tome Jesus.

  12. The S rank Lance/Axe/Sword are good for making things explode. Even with the half strength penalty, I've found that really high strength units with appropriate boosts still do respectable damage since the Mt of the weapons is so high. Have availability issues though. Will most likely just be used to fight last bosses or be sold for 5k.

S rank Bow is absolutely ridiculous. 22 Mt, no Penalty except for a def/res reduction (but archers tend to avoid counters anyway), and swallow strike effect makes it ideal for slower units. Basically, it has Takumi's name all over it. Too bad it's not around long and you need to give your bowman of choice 2 Arms scrolls since S rank bows isn't happening.

S rank Shuriken is also nice. High mt for its weapon type and swallow strike effect. Strong debuffs. Saizo is the only ninja with the bulk to take the Def/Res penalty and swallow strike effect works great on him. As usual availability issues.

S rank tome is pretty ridiculous. 25 crit, 12 Mt hitting res (for reference, Leo's prf is 10 Mt), def/res penalty isn't too nice on mages. Swallow strike effect is great. Only problem is that anyone who is a Dark Mage would rather be a Dark Knight.

  13. Kamui needs the Prologue levelling to be comparable to Jakob in strength, while Jakob can make a mean promoted cav even if he's given a seal at base level (or more realistically, if his first level-ups suck). Jakob also remains highly potent for the rest of the game(-s). There's no question that both ought to be used; I'm just saying that pair-up fodder!Jakob is criminally misusing Jakob.

"Needs the prologue levelling to be comparable"

Instant seal Jakob has 12 Str/8 Spd. 17 Atk with a Bronze Lance.

Base +Str Kamui has 9 Strength. 17 Atk with Yato. +Str Cav Kamui's Str growth is 25% higher than Jakob's as a Paladin. They have the same Spd growth, but base +Str/-Mag Kamui's speed is 2 points less. Kamui has an extra chapter (C4), a bosskill (C5), and a +20% exp skill over Jakob so Kamui grows faster than Jakob at equivalent levels. They are extremely comprable, even at base levels. There is literally like no reason to train Jakob over Kamui in the prologue.

  14. You could also not lose sleep over Kamui's 5 mov and keep him a Nohr Prince (or whatever it's going to be called) for a couple more maps. The motivation for going cav is mobility after all, and Dragonstone is arguably more useful than a Bronze Lance or something. He'll know Dragon Fang in his new class, too, which obviously won't hurt even if he's ready to 1RKO everything.

Sure, but the argument here was if Jakob more worthy of training in the prologue than Kamui. My rebuttal is unless the difference between 7 mov and 8 mov is enough to make you lose sleep, then Kamui easily replicates Jakob's early game while still being incredibly powerful for mid and late game. They aren't comparable.

  15. I've got to wonder why we call Saizou's speed bad. He has effectively 13 base due to shuriken and a 50 growth, which is more than fast enough for Hoshido. Anyway Bowman's boosts are great for Saizo early on. With 1 str proc he ORKO's every enemy in C9 except th Knights with either a steel or iron shuriken. Setsuna doesn't benefit as much and Grey suffers. Better to just do Saizo/Oboro.
