  1. It'd be pretty amusing if they made a Bjorn like Pokémon, haha.

And yeah, DQ monsters get BIG. Rhapthorne and Bjorn are both the size of a large castle, for instance.

    Ditto for Ruin himself. ;D

I personally don't count Fennekin as the dog because it's not a true dog, it's a fox, and I don't count Cyndaquil for the rat because it's based off of a mouse which is different from a rat and evolves into what looks to me like a badger.

It could also be that they do creatures with similar evolutionary ancestry or something.

  2. I'd love to see how they make a horse a biped, because they're obviously incapable of making quadruped Fire Starters anymore.

    -Says someone who played DQV.

This makes me wonder if, for the goat, they'd make something like Bjorn the Behemoose.

Speaking of...I kind of wish Pokemon were larger at times. I mean, I can get why not, but one thing I love about the Dragon Quest series, the Monsters sub-series in particular, is that they grant you the ability to command some really titanic Pokemon. Like, a few good stories tall.

  3. Yeah, exactly why I don't believe the Zodiac theory. I wouldn't complain if we got a fire horse as a starter since, you know, HORSES <3 But yeah, probably won't happen because Ponyta and Rapidash.

Thing is, Zodiac theory checks out pretty handily so far. The only odd one is Fennekin for the dog and Cyndaquil for the rat, but even still they work out fairly well.

And having another fire horse wouldn't exactly mean much. They reuse ideas fairly often. I mean...Electric Rodent. =I I still think they can do another fire horse, but they'd need to really spice it up. Maybe make a Pegasus.

  4. I have Tepig and Cherrim. I think I had more, but I can't recall what they were.

But I'd like a quadrupedal Fire starter that remains entirely quadrupedal throughout evolution. >_> (meaning it's on all fours ALL the time, not just some of the time like Typhlosion)

Well, your best bet, if the Zodiac thing for Fire Starters is true is the Horse. Which Rapidash ironically already fills.

Failing that, the Goat or the Ox. Which...I can see more likely being a minotaur for the latter.

  5. Yeah, but did we ever see characters die in the Pokemon anime before? I don't think so. I certainly don't remember and I've watched nearly every episode up to this point, including some Chronicles ones as well as Origins. And if there were, it was probably censored in the dubbing, go figure.

Maybe not in the anime, but it certainly is often implied. Hell, Generation 6 in Kalos had the one man that you leave a Pokemon with who passes away.

Also, for anime itself, I suppose the Cocoon of Destruction could count-even though they're turned to stone and evaporated, they were essentially killed. Maybe not evaporated-I can't remember for certain, but definitely messed up by Yveltal, the being of DEATH.

  6. On to a different topic... do you think the Tapus will be available in the main game, or the aftergame?

Tapu Lele, Bulu and Fini appears at Lv. 60 in the trailer, as did Tapu Koko in it's original trailer. And they appear in their ruins/temple places.

If it's anything like ORAS, it'll be around the end of the main game. At this point, I really wouldn't put it past them.

    I'm not actually complaining, just...fyi.

  7. Okay, so, I'm glad that Incineroar is not Fire/Fighting, but Fire/Dark.

I'm pretty good with Decidueye being Grass/Ghost, albeit its name being very weird.

Primarina is about what was expected.

Now, while it IS pretty much Gen I pandering...I am pretty hype to see Blue and Red there. Their new designs look nice...Cynthia, as usual, is Cynthia. No need to change anything, I think. Wally...Wally confuses me. Canonically, R/B/Y/FR/LG take place around the same time as Ru/Sa/E/OR/AS, so realistically, Wally SHOULD have grown...unless his illness did kind of fuck up his growth. Otherwise...shit's dope.

  8. Sure they will. Everything gets old and overdone/boring at some point if they keep being done/milked over and over enough.

While that is a true statement, it never stops some people. Take a look at Square Enix, for example: they've remade Final Fantasy IV NUMEROUS times, literally for every console generation at this point, I think. They even more or less remade its sequel. You'd think that IT were the most popular Final Fantasy, not VII. Keep in mind, this is subjective. I know that a lot of people do not like VII or even IV, for that matter.
