    I don't know about that, since getting Shanan killed while he's equipped with Balmung is not exactly easy, plus since Ced and Cairpre are the only kids capable of wielding the Valkyrie Staff, it can be performed at the earliest in chapter 8. But I can understand your reasoning for not doing that, and I'm not exactly surprised, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.

    It really depends on the size of the map, the number of units you're using, and the number of enemies there are, as well as the type of mission it is, and maybe some other factors too like how tough the enemies are. In general, I find the earlier in the game you are, the quicker the map will take to complete because you tend to have less units on both sides, smaller maps, and weaker enemies, though this obviously isn't always the case, merely a general trend.

    Anything that isn't like FE1's(which has hilariously bad portraits) or FE4's(80s hair everywhere!). I do like the official character art for the GBA games, as well as the in-game portraits and official character art for the post-GBA games, so any of those artstyles are fine by me.

    This is very true. There's a reason FE4 gives you God units like Shanan and Ares no matter what your pairings are.

    I'm gonna nitpick here and point out that Nino starts at level 5, not level 1.

    I'm pretty sure Kaga said in an interview that he included permadeath so that you could feel really sad when a unit you were attached to died and reflect on their death, or something like that. I don't really remember, and I could just be pulling shit out of my ass.

    FE4 is the only Kaga-era game in my top 7. Definitely prefer post-Kaga.

    I like Nino the best, I like to mine abuse Sonia's chapter and have Nino solo it. Killing Sonia with her is especially satisfying. She's also a good candidate for Afa's Drops. Too bad getting her staff rank up in the small amount of time you have her for is such a pain. The only reason I used Pent over her in the final chapter of my first playthrough was because Pent had the staff rank to wield Physic.

    I just got caught up on this, and I was wondering who Faval's dad was, and now that I see that his dad was Lex I understand why his accuracy is so bad. Lex isn't exactly the best father for Faval(or Patty, for that matter). Granted, Faval doesn't need a good dad because Yewfelle automatically makes him good. And honestly, the main reason pairings matter less than people think is because even if you end up with all subs the game still hands you a few god units like Shanan and Ares so you aren't completely screwed.

    Does this patch work with VincentASM's Very Easy patch? Just curious.

    This is why most hacks these days have a team, and are collaborative efforts. Most hackers simply cannot do everything required in making a good custom hack by themselves. I honestly would have gotten someone who knew how to do animations and spriting to do it.

    Oh, I know what you mean by your original character donutsteel now. I saw those youtube vids you put up. I kind of want to make a hack with coldsteel the hedgeheg in it now... And I would indeed like to try Attack of the Morphs. I have no idea if Naggy is still active anywhere. He hasn't posted a fanfic in over 5 years.
