  1. What do you guys think are some good classes in terms of max stats? I don't want to finish a Lunatic run and realize my class options are all terrible.
  2. Sadly, I always end up doing contests and musicals at some point in my adventures. I thought it was kinda fun since it felt like a party game. It did annoy me how you have to feed your pokemon junk to make them prettier or cooler but apart from that, I thought it was fun. In the end, I did get healing items from fans and in the newest game, a mega stone so all the work paid off. The musicals from Black and White were awful though but I got all the decorations in the game... maybe I'm just easily amused. At least I got a star on my trainer card! Don't do musicals... I'd take the Gamer Corner over the contests any day but I don't think Game Freak is gonna bring it back. *sigh*
  3. This isn't a very common one but time limits. Okay, not all time limits are bad but they can kill a good game for me. For example, I'm trying to get into a game called Oreshika: Tainted Bloodline, but the time limit in dungeons is sapping the fun out of the game for me. Bad music. When the same obnoxious score is used over and over again, it really bothers me. This isn't for all game, like Skyrim's soundtrack can be a bit boring but it never bothered me. Sonic Unleashed on the PS2 had this obnoxious jazz score for when you're in combat. While I didn't enjoy that game for many reasons the music was one of them. At least I got the game for free and Sonic wasn't really part of my childhood so I couldn't feel betrayed by Sega.
  4. GARON!!! ...What? Don't look at me like that. I can't make up my mind (I'm not married in Awakening and its been years) so I'll go with the one who's clearly evil so when he summons some evil thingy I can watch.
  5. Physical. I find physical copies much more satisfying. My only fear is that as soon as I pop Awakening out of my 3DS I'll lose it.
  6. Hoshido looks like a much more standard path, with your standard archetypes while the Nohr seem to have more classes that are magic based. Going Nohr. Then again, I'm going to probably have two saves that I do at the same pace so it doesn't really matter.
  7. A Fire Emblem without RNG could be interesting with more focus on classes and countering your enemy's strategy rather than praying that you'll dodge the big scary brigand with the steel axe. You'd have to plan ahead instead of taking a chance. You'd know that the bandit is going to kill your cavalier, and you can create a counter strategy. That's my idea anyway. However, RNG chaos is what makes Fire Emblem and other video games fun. Even if it works against you.
  8. Honestly, I got so used to the animations sped up that they felt sluggish at normal speed. I can't stand how stupid the male hero's animations are at least compared to the female version. The female version is fast and flows well while the male version feels clunky. I think it really needs a bit of redo, possibly having the sword rest on the hero's shoulder and then slashing diagonally downwards and then proceeding to swing it upwards arching over his head so we still get the idea that the sword may be a bit heavy but also flowing a bit more. Its just an idea. As for promoted units. Some needed new animations, namely the male trickster and female assassin. He's supposed to be kinda suave and such but his pose seems completely off, but the female assassin got that memo instead and ended up standing upright when you'd think she'd be trying to look stealthy. That's just nitpicking though. Anyway, I think that the animations need a bit of tinkering.
  9. So, we all know that there are a couple of classes that need to be changed one way or another. Just write a few down and how you'd change the class whether its a few stat changes here and there or a new skill to replace a useless one. I'm curious on how you'd fix the classes you think are broken or underpowered.
  10. Well, in the trailer they show a dual guard, and a dual strike.. so we're pretty sure its returning. I think you just forgot.
  11. Well, I'd totally marry Oliver but sadly... I'm not sure he'll be able to return since he's currently attending a photo shoot for when's he's announced to be "The Sexiest Man of all Time." Anyways. 1. Different personalities for the Avatar. I know it probably won't happen as it'd require even more dialogue to be written, translated, et cetera, but it'd be awesome anyway. 2. As unpopular as it is, I'd like to have more reclassing options. I personally love the idea of reclassing and making ridiculous builds but a lot characters are stuck with a boring set of skills that don't exactly work together or make me interested in using them. At least postgame, I'd like the option to have units change into most classes. 3. Better supports. They're not all awful but some are just painful. Cherche's gimmick of having Minerva scream was just so cheesy. 4. Nerf Dual Support: Its a common gripe but I gotta agree that its too powerful, and just unfair to the enemy once the support level is high enough. 5. More class representation: There were no Barbarians/Berserkers you could recruit and that's kinda lame. 6. Less of a jump between hard and Lunatic. While I got past Lunatic and Lunatic+ I still gotta say that they should ease you more into it rather making it far more difficult. I'd still leave Lunatic+ the same though. I kinda liked it, despite being heavily lucked based and the ridiculous power of the enemies. (I got a Kris Confect, I guess I'm really lucky) 7. More skills that compliment each other. I like to try to mix and match skills that compliment each other to make units with more unique strategies. Vantage vengeance guys are more fun to use in my opinion. 8. Fix the option to switch the voices to Japanese so it doesn't revert the voices back to English when I quit the game. 9. Less stupid growth rates. Some units have ridiculously low growth rates. Vaike's resistance growth is brutal when you are trying to max out his stats. 10. More objectives. C'mon, there's gotta be more things we can do besides killing everything or just assassinating the boss with Mire. I know a lot of these are post-game grinding things but honestly, I didn't have too much to complain about. Sure, I'd love other additions but with how I played Awakening, this is what I'd want for a sequel.
  12. It'd at least spice up fights between mages a bit and it'd give me a reason to use different kinds of magic. I also would like to see light magic return and if it's not limited to one class, I'd love to give all my dark knights light tomes for the sake of irony. (Its really not that funny but I want to do it anyway)
  13. I actually like Lowen the best, I just got lucky with him and he became one of my best units due to his tankiness which never failed me. I never really used Sain or Kent too much... mainly because in Lyn's story I just trained Lyn and one other unit... I don't remember which. I may be missing out but since the battery died in the game cartridge, I can't save anymore so I don't think I'll be replaying the game very soon. (I'm still in mourning over the cartridge)
  14. Personally, I loved Gerome. Anyways, Sully: I could get behind her tomboyish attitude if she didn't constantly remind me she's as good as any man like I keep forgetting or something... Panne: Really dull and mean spirited towards a lot of characters I like. Yarne: Not a lovable coward, just an annoying one. Tharja: Because we needed a fan service character who's also pretty much an awful mother and generally abusive! Ricken: ...
  15. RIP? Meg... I forgot to recruit you... You could've given me your weapons and then never see combat. RIP All the recruits from the prologue in FE12... 5 star difficulty was too much for any of them... I had to go through it all again because I ran out of weapons and literally couldn't attack.
  16. That'd actually be awesome if that song was one of the themes for something minor, like the barracks. Its calming, I like it. I'm not sure it'd work as well in combat if they did include it. However, I pray that they change the theme during the enemy phase during Streetpass battles to whatever track plays during your phase. I really don't care much for the songs that play during the enemy phase. Its just my personal gripe. So far, the music seems pretty good and I doubt they'll mess it up.
  17. Imagine a world where half of your team can be wiped out on the first turn before you even got a chance to move... Where flying units would reign supreme for their ability to go far across any terrain and then get rescue staved safely out of reach of most units... Where you'd need house rules that you couldn't use in online multiplayer matches with random people to even the odds even slightly... In all seriousness, Fire Emblem could have a better multiplayer, there's always room for improvement after all. However, if it takes away from the main campaign, I'd rather get rid of it altogether. The co op in Awakening was a fun distraction when I was with friends, but if it didn't return, I wouldn't mind too much. Co op is reasonable, and the way they did it worked. Whether or not you thought it was good or bad doesn't matter. It worked. PvP would be a nightmare in my mind though. Fire Emblem simply isn't a game that I believe is very compatible with PvP. Not entirely incompatible, but just not as much as other games. Just my two cents... that I most likely explained poorly.
  18. I'd most likely be really annoyed if I missed out on certain characters. I don't mind if I don't get everyone in the main campaign, but endgame... give me everyone. Knowing me, I'll find a way to pick all the worst units for endgame so please let me get the ones I missed. Even if the levels to get them are ridiculously unfair. However, I don't need to recruit all the main characters like in Awakening where you could recruit Gangrel, Yen'fay, etc. Some people just need to remain dead. (I'm looking at you Emmeryn) Also, I'd love to see "Arran and Samson's Excellent Adventure"
  19. I'd love for the class to return but maybe not under the same name, unless it makes sense for whatever character has it. I'm hoping it stays exclusive to one character, assuming the skills stay the same due to the nature of the skills are and how I think Ignis is tied to Grima... It just wouldn't feel right to me if multiple unrelated people could learn Ignis. Its just my personal feelings on the matter...
  20. I'd be fine with Griffon Riders had some sort of buff and a character that rides a Griffon from the start. Cherche and Gerome just don't make sense as Griffon Riders, but I dunno, Griffin, the Griffon Rider shows up with his griffon it'd at least make it so you have one character that makes sense as a griffon rider. This class needs some sort of buff though. There's nothing that stands out other than its class skills that aren't that good. If it doesn't get more weapons and/or a stat boost its just gonna be useless like in Awakening and might as well not come back. However, I do really like the idea, it was just poorly executed like the Trickster class.
  21. I'd really hoping there's another avatar character. Maybe not with all the previous perks but with some. I hope they don't go the pokemon route of finally introducing customizable characters and then getting rid of them. I'd be sad that if they do include it that it wouldn't have the tactician coat I'm so fond of. As for waifus. I'd be fine with marriage in the game but somewhat less important. I don't want to feel obligated to make all my units marry each other. Hence why I still have my army of bachelors. I'd rather not have kids again simply because it'd feel a bit forced in the story. (Unless they included time travel again and if so, that's lame) For a DLC like future past, that'd be cool... maybe. But for the main game, no... Also, I've always to start a waifu war... I'm all for it. However, if neither of these are in it'd be unforgivable... I may not even buy all the DLC.
  22. To be honest, I think the girly shampoo makes my hair feel nicer than my "manly" shampoo. It never caused me any problems in the past so I'd say its fine and if you think people will make fun of you, having nice smelling hair is rather flattering and that's rarely happened.
  23. I name all my legendaries after important Fire Emblem characters. Latios and Latias, Ephaim and Eirika. Grima the Girantina. Etc. And Garnef the Shedinja. Makes sense to me considering he has Imhullu/Maph. Too bad he doesn't have the full effect.
  24. Well, its not like you're exploiting your casual status in the main missions so I think its perfectly fine, and you're less likely to ruin a save file. As an added bonus, you can actually try out suicidal strategies and mess around more if you want, rather than always having to worry about losing a unit. There's just more flexibility.
  25. Tactician, Mercenary (solely for Arms thrift), and Dark Mage I love how Tactician is so balanced, I need mercenary because I get stingy with my weapons (Even with 99 Brave swords don't give one to anyone that doesn't have arms thrift) and Dark Mage has the balanced dark knight, and overpowered sorcerer as promotions.
