  1. I find it baffling that they didn't put War Monk/Cleric or Dark Flier, when they put Trickster. I can see why they didn't put Valkyrie, we already got Holy/Dark/Death Knight, it would have been redundant, but War Monk/Cleric, Fist/Axe & Magic, and Dark Flier, Lance & Magic? Come now, they could have also put Malig Knight, Axe & Magic, so the boys don't get left behind. Genderlocked classes is a mistake. Sometimes, I do find the fact that every classes can only use one type of weapon a bit of an headache.
  2. Balthus in the first playthrough, you really, really, really want Gold. After that? The choice is yours, Byleth and their Za Warudo, or characters that are monsters because of their personal. I pity the guy who want to have every accessories. Shez gets a pass because his personal class is that good at everything, but a lot of characters are underwhelming, like say Monica. Course you would need a big level at times to not get screwed over in mission I guess?
  3. He start the game with slightly higher stats than anyone, making him a sort of Jeigan, or rather Oifey. Except because of his relic, time power, and the fact that he can get stronger, that doesn't matter much. Even if you don't feed him, he still stay good. Stupid Stando power. Although Ragnell = Sword of Seals => Sword of the Creator. Greatest technological weapon my ass, it's just a sword whip with 20 uses, no stat boost. "Merely" one of the best Weapon Arts. Thunderbrand could be seen as a better weapon. Stupid cool Brave effect. He IS powerful, but I do think that is Lu Bu status is ridiculous. I completely agree with you on this, Dimitri doesn't have his mind break moment when he decide that a kid is the source of all his problems, and instead discover that another, much closer person is one of the cause. The game made it pretty clear from the demo that it wouldn't be a rehash of Three Houses, and it's great.
  4. Hmm, it seems to be both the church and Rhea since she first put emphasis on both at first. Or maybe it's really just Rhea. Guess you don't need a religion to be fanatic I guess.
  5. You know, I would have enjoyed if TH had in message in the background about society, religions, and other system, being becoming corrupted with time. Imagine if you discovered that the Agarthans from back then truly had genuinely good reasons to fight and were fully in the right, post and pre Sothis nuking, but the time spent underground along with the bitterness crushed them psychologically, or if Seiros really had good intentions back then, but all the lies of her own making started to be too much for her, it would have made an interesting dynamic, and would made them, in essence, two sides of the same coin. Same with Nemesis, or keep him evil I dunno. Of course the game spit on that, the Agarthan and the Church never had any good intentions in the first place, and they are more than happy to forgot and try to make us forgot the last one. Considering that she say to Shamir something among the lines of "if it were anyone else, I would have killed him", when Shamir stated that she "didn't get" the religion, this seems just strange.
  6. You're right. It still feel it's very hasty, weird and almost put him apart from the other characters, but you're right. Of course, I'd take Shez not talking about the deaths of his past friends, over him constantly crying about it.
  7. Of course I don't want want a game where Shez doesn't shut up about Byleth and can't stop must wangst about it all, that's not what I'm saying, I'm saying it was expedited by the writing extremely fast. Which also show a rather bad picture of what the future could. How many bucks do we bet on Shez instantly forgiving Byleth or something as stupidly fast?
  8. Nonsensical in the sense of how fast it's done and sent into the background, something that even Arval comment on. "Oh it's fine, we were only in it for the money, and, it's not like we were actually that close, but I'm still angry at it I swear". It feel expedited.
  9. Shez look freaking stupid, I'll say that first. Their personality is 50/50, their goal of taking revenge against Byleth and their means to do so, meaning none, is uttely nonsensical, but they also have some great dialogues with most of the cast. Arval is basically better Sothis, they don't nag you at every turns, they don't act high and mighty, but aren't afraid to snark at Shez, albeit in a friendly way, it help that your choices kind of actually matters with them, you can actually apologize and he'll react. There's actual discussions going between him and Shez, and you feel a genuine bound between them, more than with any other characters. I repeat, better than Sothis in every way. A part of me feel bad that we are controling what is basically Worse Byleth though in the eyes of the characters, Byleth has everything handed to them, while Shez had to actually work.
  10. Personally, I would have killed her off, it's even more cruel, but also keep the sense of freedom 'Link' or 'us' had while playing the game, instead of taking it away. Link now have to learn/keep living for himself instead of being a good Doggo Knighto for the Zeldo, that was an excuse in BotW1 but with a certain wangst backstory, but is now even more of an an excuse in BotW2. Oh yeah, that too. They were completely off the rails with their plots. It's annoying seeing devs pushing a 'plot' in open worlds.
  11. I just hope it will be useful, of course they could make the class also viable in combat instead of just giving them a support special.
  12. It's not that she isn't hated anymore, it's just that Fire Emblem reached new lows in term of Mary Sueness. Kris, Robin, Corrin... It's hard to complain about an old thing when the new things are way worse than the old thing.
  13. If this end up being a real Fire Emblem instead of a chinese knockoff, I'll commit Sudoku. What in the hell is that hair, those beards, those....everything! The graphism are worse than TH, or dare I say, Sw and Sh. We live in a society.
  14. I find it very funny how Fighters can use Axes, Bows, and Gauntlets, and they're the only class to have that 'advantage'. I sort of miss the "can use every weapons", just sort off. What would be the point of Dancer in a Musou game though? What I found jarring was that Sylvain apparently go 'easy on the girls he know wouldn't take it well', like wow, is that supposed to be a good thing, from a character or moral viewpoint? Meanwhile you got Lysithea, who at least as the excuses to be a child with literal on terminal disease, she still deserve a spanking and to be treated like the child she is though. At this point you might as well say that Miklan was a good guy because he liked his army of bandits or whatever if that's how low we are.
  15. You know, I didn't see things like that, while I still still disagree a bit, I also agree to it a bit. .....Does that make sense? Well this is just dandy as all heck, woohoo gender locked classes. What a great idea to keep... I wouldn't say she is bad, it's just that she only had one good move and it's very slow. Wait that's actually what I just said. now has a pony! The trinity is more trinity than ever! Define "deserve".
  16. Imagine NOT playing every characters at one point. More seriously this seems, and please don't take this the bad way, grain of salt, almost against the games, you might not like playing a character, but going as far as turning up your nose to one is strange, especially if the story is present. Plus you are acting as if the Adventure Mode in HW forced you to play one character all the time, when it's not the case, and that things will be different in TH when the weapon triangle, weaknesses, and story will railroad us to play certain characters instead of others. And also good luck for the Completionists like me who will certainly try to 100% plain the games
  17. How the heck did I miss that? I'm blaming the interface! But thanks for telling me so I wouldn't have to discover it too late. The come back of Mount Emblem. I'm not really a Warriors veteran, my first Warriors ever was Hyrule Warriors on the 3DS, so take what I'm saying with a grain of salt: I feel for a Warriors game to be good, you must have characters, that are different from each others (duh) but also be allowed to use and play with them. Take Hyrule Warriors, there are 31 characters, but it doesn't feel bloated because they are all are all different from each others but also because you can use them in Adventure Mode, which is the bread, the butter, the meat, of the game. There is literally everything to do for every characters and weapons. OF COURSE, the Adventure Mode is huge as huge can get, so it can be really tiresome to do if you don't have the time for it, there's a reason why I haven't tried to play it again then my previous 3DS died. I really liked Age of Calamity, but I really felt it failed at that, you didn't have much things to play with the post-game and DLCs characters. In a unrelated note, I really dislike mage characters in Three Hopes, they are just so freaking slow and awkward to play.
  18. Thank goodness, I won't have to waste a Seal on Edelgard so she can be Wyvern Knight/Lord then. I don't get why gender-locked classes are still a thing though, it's stupidly.... stupid, and I'm worried aboud infantry classes that evolved into horse/flying classes, this give them a weakness. To be honest, I already think there's too much characters already. If Age of Calamity was bloated (without DLC), then Three Hopes is Hyper-bloated imo. I mean sure, you gotta use the good unit, but still, except Shez who can just carry.
  19. How could you I trusted you. Only 300 hours? Amateur. But yeah, trying to do every weapons for every characters? That's a big pain in the butt, and the moment your brain tell you to stop, you should probably stop, it's not healthy. They probably will, since it's a really popular thing. The cringefest will probably be present, since Shez talk, and I'm imagining the S rank with Seiros or Byleth.
  20. And then after throwing insults at each others and breaking their weapons, they just make out. Starting doing the deed. In the middle of the camp, With Edelgard in sight. You can't say that you 100% a Warriors game, if all your characters doesn't have their perfect minmaxed weapons of the highest damage and of the highest skill power. 😛 Oooooooh boy... thanks goodness they made it easier since Age of Calamity. As much as I love the first Hyrule Warriors, having to search for weapon with 6 stars and slots, and searching the best skills for each characters to put in them, some of said skills needing you to rack up a number of 1000 kill to unseal... wasn't fun at all. What in the heck.
  21. I played the demo, I really expected it to be bad, after the fiasco that was the previous Warriors. But it's good, it's really good! It's almost as fast Age of Calamity, and I even thought the Weapon Triangle is better used than in the original! And unlike Three Houses, my eyes aren't bleeding because of how tiny the text is. Arval is so much better than Sothis, it's hilarious. Three things that bothers me though. The new Charadesign is shitty. I dislike most of the new ones, but Shez is really special for looking like an idiot with that purple hair of his/her, as if the his clothes didn't made it stuck out like a sore thumb. Just. Why. I like Marianne, but some like Bernadetta? The hell. The interface if convoluted as time in Dark Souls, and it's very annoying to get through the menus. They really made it more obvious how shitty the church was- wait that's actually a good point. I dunno about this Golden Route NG+ thing, but I hate it. I also dislike this half assed 'rivalry' between Byleth and Shez. "Oops you killed all my comrades, that I acter all buddy buddy with, but it's fine, we weren't actually that much friends anyways, but I'll hunt you down anyways", with that kind of writing, it might have been better for Shez to be silent.
  22. I really do like what we are seeing so far, I love Mercedes' New design. However, I absolutely dislike the fact that SSJ Neon Purple now seems to be the new Avatar of the game, this doesn't bode well for me with me and my fear of Female Byleth being the Byleth used. Seriously, what's up with the dumb designs?
  23. Here what new mechanic it SHOULD have make characters being able to uses multiple weapons, one way or another, either as a combo change or just in the menu (this is gonna be a nightmare to build though) One of the worst thing in the original FEW was that there was one type of weapon per character, that was stupid (and let's not talk about the moveset). A part of the fun of Fire Emblem was units being able to use multiple types of weapons. Maybe even magic, who knows?
