  1. Shields, unarmed combat, dirty tricks like throwing sand and staffs that put a "fear" status on a unit. Definitely would be interesting to see.
  2. If you look hard enough, you can always find a savegame for use on an Emulator (and experience Special effects like scattered vegetables in the main game through codes). Still, it's nice of Nintendo to unlock these levels by default in the VC release. That's the way it always should've been. Unfortunately, they put on-disk DLC like that in a ton of recent games, which is a shame. I'm curious, however, whether or not they'll unlock these levels in the european VC release aswell. The data is there, the way to access it just never existed in europe.
  3. Nah, I'm pretty much good at any game, as long as I think it's good and fun. If I had to pick what I'm best at, I'd probably say anything 3rd Person Action.
  4. From what I heard, we already have that. It's called "Berserk". Ah, sod it, reboot the Super Mario Bros. Super Show.
  5. Much more people would probably be dissapointed by the last few games, simmilar to how people are dissapointed by Paper Mario Sticker Star or Metroid Other M.
  6. That choke at the end cracked me up. I actually just imagined that would happen and you can imagine the look on my face when it did, ha ha. Doesn't matter, though, it was fun to watch and 2:05 is solid.
  7. Ah please. Either try much harder or just don't try to start something here at all, buddy.
  8. That decision is easy! Ike Vanguard Ike Young Ike Ike Climbers and KING AIIIIIKUUUU! Now, seriously: Marth Ike Roy Lyn/Hector/Ephraim (or all three of them)
  9. BLACKGUARDS 1+2 I can't mention that game often enough whenever someone's looking for another good strategy RPG. Gameplay and setting are kinda simmilar to Fire Emblem, and he maps sometimes have interactive elements to them, for instance a chandelier which you need to drop on the enemy, so if you're looking for work being put in mapdesign, you might find what you're looking for. (I sometimes believe I'm apparently the only person on these forums who is aware of that series, it's so strange.)
  10. If your answer isn't "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt"... you didn't play The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
  11. Interesting, thanks, that explains a lot. This again shows how sad it is that Radiant Dawn didn't sell well. No, buddy, I need to pay my respect for the fallen. (I know it's still technically alive in a similar fashion to Luke Skywalker's father and Darth Vader, but.. the respect must be paid.)
  12. I actually kinda believe there's something terribly going wrong over at IS in recent years. Codename: STEAM was good, but everything else from Fire Emblem to Paper Mario.. it's as if they completely restructured the employees or something.
  13. Go check out Blackguards 1 and 2 for medieval themed, strategy RPG gameplay. Hard West, a western themed turn-based strategy (rpg?), also looks great, but I haven't played it yet.
  14. Oh yes, I'm well aware about that and it warms my heart, but Night Dive Studios' plan is to first focus on remastering more Turok games in the future. No plans on creating anything completely new, I mean. Although, they also aquired the System Shock IP and gave Otherside Entertainment permission to create a third game. Huzzah. : )
  15. The day they revive Spyro, Crash, most classic Rareware franchises, classic PC adventure games like Monkey Island, some actually good aventure games by telltalegames, Outcast, Turok and some other franchises from the 90s.. balance will be restored to the universe.
  16. Suuuuure, because: "Let's forget the enemy are actual people aswell (as it's a common theme in the series) and make them faceless cannon fodder like it's the case in DW games. Simply remove strategy gameplay and item management and create a button masher that requires no skill. And while we're at it, let's just spit on everything characteristic about Fire Emblem. Priceless, give this man a medal! After all, the audience is getting its new animated models for characters that kind of look and sound like they're from the actual FE games, but never quite are because the devs will have their creative freedom to do changes to appeal more to the blinded eye, and what more do they want anyways, eh? What's that, some people think some series simply don't mix well and say that instead of cashing in on a franchise, people should try to actually enrich it? Ah, those can sod off, they're just always negative and totally unreasonable haters." Ah well. Seriously, what we need is either a Codename: STEAM -style Fire Emblem. If we're focusing more on action, something in the lines of the Dark Souls (or hell, maybe TES) series could be interesting aswell, though. : )
  17. Might wanna add a "disappointed" or "unsatisfied" option, although I assume that counts as "meh". Bayonetta is an OK choice (Could've hit us far worse, plus even I am fine with her character design), but Corrin is just completely unnecessary. Promotion, promotion, promotion, way to celebrate 25 years.
  18. I just feel like this is not how DLC support for Smash 4 should end, there's some sort of dissatisfaction. Yes, some characters I would've loved to see are missing, but most importantly, we're still missing more neutral stages and to end it with a newcomer to promote the recent FE game? Out of all the fan-favourite characters in 25 YEARS of the franchise? (Before anyone says anything, this doesn't necessarily have anything to do with my view on Fates.) However, I must say, the good thing that came from this direct was Bayonetta. (Eventhough the looks OP as hell.. I mean, seriously... HOLY!)
  19. I didn't say anything wrong, what's your freaking problem?
  20. So much disappointment.. This is neither a good way to celebrate the anniversary of Fire Emblem, nor to end DLC for Smash 4. Bummer. (Bayonetta is fine, though.)
  21. I'd like to either see a Codename: Steam style Fire Emblem, as they already kinda did that with their 52$ Amiibo-DLC in that game or... Fire Emblem Chess. (You all secretly know you want that to happen.) What I absolutely don't want to see is a mashup with that boring as hell Dynasty Warriors series. You don't turn a game in which you actually need to think into a mindless buttonmasher. That's blasphemous. I'm also not sure about a crossover with Zelda. In my eyes, that series could only have a truely promising crossover with the Dark Souls series.
  22. Nintendo would've shut down the project years ago if they had wanted to. Also, may I ask what reason Nintendo would've had to sue the modders over money? They never encouraged piracy and didn't put up unfair competition or anything, Nintendo didn't lose a ton of money because of the mod.
  23. Found the Sacred Stones by accident and liked the cover (Dragon hype!). It turned out to become my favourite Nintendo franchises (and also the most dissapointing one in recent years). I later got my hands on Path of Radiance and found out about Fire Emblem 7 (yeah, I never read about it in magazines let alone on "online-websites").
