  1. At last, they're about to fix that franchise. Yes! Great and diverse looking gameplay again, nods to the unreleased Starfox 2, no sign of blue boobed McFurry-dream, a seemingly "classic" line of events, which is a good thing if you ask me. They already said that there's no online multiplayer right now, which I hope stays like that for the sake of making the game timeless (because once the servers are down, it isn't).
  2. The upsetting thing is that they simply slapped the name "Metroid Prime" on a game that obviously has nothing to do with it, exept for it's FPS gameplay. I for one am not necesserely mad about it, I'm just dissapointed.
  3. Vaati? Err.. that guy doesn't even have moves unless he's in his demon form. You can't make a fighter without any sort of base. I think Zelda already has it's most iconic characters as representatives. Sure, there's Impa, but I don't really consider her iconic and we already have a "Shiek"ah in the rooster. I also don't think it's necessery for every big franchise to constantly get new reps.
  4. Mario and Pokemon are overepresentated. They have enough representatives, it's not supposed to be a Mario/Pokemon fighting game after all. Zelda is fine, by the way.
  5. The Fire Emblem franchise is huge and offers plenty of capable characters. The fighters shouldn't be chosen explicitly based on the popularity of a franchise.
  6. No more Pokemon. Seriously, there are more than enough. Same goes for the Mario franchise. Wolf is pretty much a giving, I think, and then there's still room for one final character until they need to change the layout of the character-select screen on WiiU. Edit: Oh wait, they already changed it.
  7. I blame the artist for doing a bad job. If the character is any useful on the battlefiled, I might see past him/her looking out of place. If (s)he's not.. I send the unit to hell, bwahaha.
  8. No, I'm actually being serious. I even looked it up again to refresh my memory.. it still looks really bad to me. Kind of reminds me of a red-haired Michael Jackson who's toying around with his cape, while standing there in this odd pose. Anyways, I didn't want to talk about his design in Awakening (maybe I shouldn't have written that), but his design in Smash. It's overall really great, but those paper frills sure take time getting used to. :)
  9. Only seen Roy's render so far, so this is new to me.. What's up with his boots, though? I mean, I'm glad he doesn't look as awful as his DLC portrait in Awakening depicts him, but there's something odd about those boots. Perhaps I'll get used to it once he's released.
  10. All hail the Headband-Engineâ„¢. She has a point, though. And this news is all over the newspages, not just this topic. There isn't really a way to avoid seeing a spoiler, unfortunately.
  11. Tried to avoid seeing any spoilers, but eventually saw it by accident somewhere else. Ah well. This is cool news, though, and I'm especially glad that it's nothing too surprising, since data has been known to exist for some time now (not going to watch the footage, though). One of the two might have potential to become my second since Bowser didn't work out for me this time..
  12. That's like making Paper Mario female. It wouldn't make sense. As much as there can't be a male Zelda, there can't be a female Link, they're both reincarnations of the first Hero and Zelda and gender-tied. And don't come at me with Link being "linked to the player" and an "avatar" or something, Link is an established character, eventhough he doesn't have an influence on the story in dialogues. Merely how you interprete his character is up to the player, which is why he's mute in all games. If anything, they should do it like the Witcher 3 did with Ciri, creating an entirely new character like for example Link's sister, which could lead to some interesting co-op gameplay. But you can't change the rules for the sake of calming some SJWs or something.
  13. Huh? Did japanese people lose interest in the Zelda franchise again so quickly, that they have to rerelease this dynasty warriors game on the 3DS, now? Aaah, well.. like any leak, I'm still sorry for the people that wanted to keep it secret.
  14. Psychonauts, BrĂ¼tal Legend (that Jack Black - Heavy Metal game with the sweet RTS elements) and Outcast, these are the games I highly suggest anyone to try. They're that good! During Steam Sale, they'll probably be like 2$ each! Btw, there's also a sublime sale going on over at GOG.com and the best part is, it's DRM free so it's yours, all yours!
  15. Well, once you figure out the sweet spot to grab the ledge, I think the hardest part is timing it right to hit your opponent. Reliable in theory but requires reading.
  16. Yes. About ledge-canceling aether, that's of course the optimal way of spiking your opponent, but as I said, you have to face the stage for that since Ike can't grab the ledge backwards anymore. (Btw, "Aetherciding" sounds way cooler, I must admit.)
  17. Obviously the most important thing of all time first: Ike's stylish Jab-Cancel: Tap A (wait for punch and let go of A) Hold A, wait for the kick to miss and quickly let go of A Hold A again, wait for kick etc. Use it wisely, haha. Some other things: -Neutral-Air and Forward-Air auto cancel -Down-Tilt makes for good follow-ups with Forward-Air/ Up-Air -Aether's final hit has a meteor effect (can result in Ikecide when facing away from the stage since Ike unfortunately can't grab the ledge backwards anymore) -Ike's down-throw can be followed up with air attacks -Use counter, eruption, Up-Smash for edge guarding -Ike's Down-Air is pretty risky off-stage and it's meteor is fairly hard to hit -Pivot-tilts make for good surprise attacks, Side-Tilt is pretty good altogether -Down-Smash is his fastest Smash concerning the initial hit, can hit enemies rolling behind you. But the most important thing to do when playing Ike (this time for real): Don't be too aggressive. Ike's not the fastest character so you need to punish and not be punishable. (This was posted before Ike's epic buffathon.)
  18. They could fix the armour for some units. Not sure if you noticed, but some are missing chestarmour. :P
  19. It's.. really freaking awful. My biggest concern, them turning the franchise more and more into an anime dating simulator, is turning out to be true. What is it doing in "Fire Emblem", why are they taking this once awesome franchise that had tough strategy gameplay, epic stories, few cheesy moments and an awesome anime artstyle that wasn't overthetop or anything and not full of designchoices to please the perverted person's eye? Imagine them taking the Metroid series.. adding bright and peaceful environments and turning it into a freaking porno because that might sell better. That's how I feel right now. If Fire Emblem had to die out to prevent it from drifting to the abyss.. so be it, it had a great run. Still, I'm having hope left for the Nohr path. After all, they said they wanted to appeal to the fans that loved the classic games for what they were. Just had to let that out, eventhough people might be crying out over it now.
  20. Perhaps they're making the "no feet" thing from Awakening a status. Ok ok, I'm being silly now.
  21. You make me sad.. that's a horrible thing to say. Advertisement could've saved the franchise years ago.
  22. Not liking it so far. The idea of managing your base sounds interesting, but what's all that face rubbing and hotspring garbage? That's all I can say right now, I'll have to see for myself once the game is released.
