  1. Shadow of Colossus and Demon/Dark Soul's love child :D

Sorta like that but the combat is faster paced.

Anyway, main complaint is that the demo was a bit too short. Probably should have allowed you to explore around(around the Griffin part at least). It did leave me wanting more though.

It is pretty amusing being launched up in the air by your pawn though.

  2. At 2:54 there's a promotion of a sword wielding man to a mounted swordsman (forest knight returning?).

He definately wasn't a myrmidon, so that class is most likely mercenary. It's kind of nice that they have shields now.

  3. Didn't anyone notice in that video that there was an escape marker (or something like that at 0:32)?

It says arrive at exit on the top right corner, so it's an arrive chapter then?

  4. "But I'll wait until exactly one year after the game was released in Japan. If, by then, July 15th, 2011, the game is not even announced for a U.S. release, I will look into starting a translation."

I'll support a fan translation if this is the case. It's probably better to wait until that point and start a translation than to start early only to find out that an english release is announced a month later.

  5. I don't know about being EVIL, but I'd like a game where the lord has to make difficult moral decisions (that take time, too. For example, the problem is introduced in chapter 9 and isn't resolved until like chapter 12 and it's not part of the main plot) the entire reason for fighting is questionable. You follow one side, but it's not a "good vs evil" thing. Shady characters on your side (and I mean really shady) difficult decisions and the reason for the entire conflict the game revolves around being questionable? That would grab me a lot more than "X lord is good and everyone who joins them is moral and good and we're fighting an evil man/monster/god/whatever."

Yeah this would be a better idea actually and I would have suggested something similar had you not brought it up.

I don't think it needs to be a very long game though. I would be fine if it lasted around 25 chapters(e.g. the average FE chapter length) plus a couple of prologue chapters.

  6. I too was actually making an FE5 balance patch with the 30 max stat patch applied. I actually was doing something similar to what Desro mentioned with the exception of removing growths from the scrolls. Though I wouldn't mind if someone else were to make one because I stopped working on it.

    Doku, here are some suggestions:

-better enemy stats (i actually made a nightmare enemy growth module here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=YW9W6B5L, I also included a palette switcher so you can switch character palettes around)

-perhaps letting mounted units move indoors(but with a movement cost)

-toning down the pugi's and graphcalibur's crit rates

-perhaps making graphcalibur and dimethunder (getting rid of 2x attack) C rank tomes instead of prf so they act as the middle ground magic tomes for wind and thunder

  7. Anyone have any advice for chapter 7? You got a whole of enemies rushing to you at once, including those bandits at the west. Even worse, some of those bandits move towards Fin and Saphy.

  8. Some bugs to report, there's just some numbers displayed at the top of the screen when you try to have Ethlin talk to Sigurd.

Also, the man from the north village who talks about the weapons triangle says he give you an axereaver but you get 5000 gold instead. The village below that gives you a steel sword even though the guy there said he would give you gold.

  9. No, the glass copy wasn't a generic bandit in the original. It was the one that Scouran (bandit sub boss in chapter 10B I believe) uses.

I noticed Scott's a warrior, wasn't he a berserker before? I assume you're changing some of the boss classes then?
