Maybe not one-rounding all physical enemies but can do significant damage with effective weapons and/or snake poison. A number of the "glass cannon" characters will only severely wound full health enemies, unless they get criticals or activate skills.

I can't recall the exact details of what we knew at the time (such as the important info that Garon killed Takumi's dad) but "hates you because you were raised in the bad guy country" sounds pretty petty without understanding his other reasons.

Suzukaze is definitely this. He can mow down endless mages but takes physical hits like a wet paper towel. Even as a level 3 Sorcerer, my Nyx had like 20HP. It was sad.

Goddamnit, now I'm irrationally angry that we can't bling the hell out of our weapons and dragons. It's like, why bother living? Flannel and Velour are adorable and the adorableness only increases when they are in proximity of each other.

You aren't alone. I irritated by the removal of weapon icons and the interface has been dumbed down. Why does it no longer state class properties (armored, beast, flying, etc)? Why does it just show the portrait of my top 3 supported characters but not their ranks? Why does it not tell me which characters are the children or spouse? Kisaragi is another good character for Aqua's hair... if you don't mind pairing Takumi off with his adopted sister. Here's how Takumi's popularity played out over the course of the pre-release and post release time frame. When we first learned about Takumi's relationship with the Avatar, it appeared he was hostile without much context so people didn't like him. This is before we learned just how much player worship was in the game so many wouldn't realize how refreshing Takumi was until later. As we learned more about him, people came to understand him as one of the better written characters, particularly for Hoshido. I wasn't watching the early streaming of the game where the #blameTakumi meme was born but I can say that in Nohr, he's persistent and annoying so I can see why people would be bothered by him there. I do this with hair colors. "Who should I marry Suzukaze to in order to pass down his green hair? Oh, how about Suzukaze x Lazwald for Soleil!"

While you can avoid some conflicting supports with this method, you have a lot more supports that DON'T conflict but are locked out for a single playthrough. There is a lot of potential character exploration that doesn't need to be mutually exclusive of each other.

To think a character like Marx would have Pieri as a subordinate, let alone marry her is pretty absurd.

Goofy but seems pretty tame to me. You can see as much in the onsen, so unless that's getting cut, I don't see the Brigand items getting taken out. That said, weapons that randomly (not actually) strip enemies isn't something I think Fire Emblem needs and wouldn't mind that part getting taken out.

I still think Aqua is worse. Kamui might be a plot-warping moron but at least he's not criminally negligent like Aqua. Playing through Nohr with her is painful. She has this "Whelp, can't be helped" attitude while they do horrible things when the player knows everything is her fault. Sometimes I want to throttle her. As for the voices, I can stomach most of the female voices for the other characters but Kamui's female voice options are terrible. Only one of them sounds like it could belong to an adult human and the rest sound like young children. I had to restart my file 4 times to find a voice I could even tolerate.

You could be a little less critical and more constructive, you know. Phillius is trying to write a story, not a documentary on gender relations in medieval Europe.

I hope it's a Katana* in a western setting. Those things can cut a tank in half. It would be perfect for my OC, Kuroshiro** *Katana means Japanese sword. **Kuroshiro means "black and white" which hints at my character's elemental affinities to light and darkness

Even Sword vs Axe isn't a safe bet. I recall True Blade!Kazahana having only a 40-50% chance to dodge enemy Berserkers (without Flowing Strike) and they could nearly one shot her when she was at full health. Dodge tanking isn't a very reliable strategy.

Tricky, very tricky. I think I've already voiced my concern that limitations on Gooron's ability to torment Kamui are largely contrived, and the plot itself being needless. It contains a lot of elements from the original story I didn't care for. Why don't you write up a Kamui bio similar in length to Marx and Camilla's and we'll see if we can't break new ground.
