I really don't like the hero design in this game. The shield just looks ridiculously stupid. But really a lot of the armor in this game is kinda silly imo, but most of it looks cool! That said I love the design of the grandmaster. The combinations of armor and robes gives the look of exactly what I think a battle-mage should look like. It also looks a lot like the armor of jedi from TOR which i think is awesome.

Its kinda funny how some of the most powerful bosses die the easiest. Idoun was probably around the same power level as Grima yet she died in two to three hits from Roy.

I will never understand why of all things they chose archer to have as one of Chrom's reclass options. Personally I think it seems strange re-classing him at all, but at least he reminds me of a knight lord when reclassed as a cavalier.

Yeah a combination of FE7 and FE6 as a multi-gen game wouldn't really work that well. As already mentioned there's the fact that there are way too many characters and probably too many chapters. But I think the biggest problem is the fact that out of FE6's like 50 characters maybe around 15 (i think, i could be way off tho) are related to those from FE7 making the generational thing pretty pointless, and the the plots are pretty disconnected. They really just wouldn't fit together very well. Meanwhile a game like FE4 already has the generational system st up perfectly, although it would undergo quite a few changes to fit awakening's system. Still, I'd much prefer to see FE4 remade than FE6 and FE7. Here's hoping for an FE4 remake!

I'm supporting the demon dragon theory. The double wings and size match up with the appearance of demon dragons in FE6. Idoun doesn't seem that big in the game but I in the manga she was gigantic. Grima coud either be a couterpart to naga which has always existed or a corruption of a powerful divine dragon (which I'm assuming somehow started to reappear because of Now. With time travel along with possible inter-dimensional travel he could even have traveled from the distant past, the far future, or even another dimension. Maybe he was losing a war with naga and decided to jump to the future where he thought she'd be more weak. Heck if tellius is supposed to be part of the same universe it he could even be some sort of black dragon or something. I really wish Awakening had developed the back story more, especially regarding grima. We find out so little about the villans compared to the other games in the series, it gives almost less details than shadow dragon! The first exalt doesn't even get a name which is pretty much the first time that an ancient hero hasn't been named in fire emblem.

Unless it's too huge a spoiler, do you think you could explain what it is?

So due to all the delays and stuff I just ended up getting my copy of the game today. I load up the free marth dlc look at his class, and it says he is a "lodestar". What the heck is up with this?? Is it just lazy translation, or is there some way this is actually supposed to make sense?

Wow, I had to stare at that pic for like 5 min to figure out how his sword was not an extension of his arm. Seriously they could have at least given the sword a hilt to help differentiate it. Oh well, at least the portrait on the card doesn't look that bad. Stats +10 is incredibly stupid, and I prefer Paris over Ike in almost every way but I'll probably end up buying the DLC anyways for a repeatable chapter with what I assume will be insane difficulty. I still have hope for another 5 star DLC with Eliwood or Sigurd tho!

The opposite actually. Anyways, who knows what the deal is. We have kids traveling from the future I wouldn't be surprised if the Tellius Saga happens after FE13 (doesn't really make any sense tho) or even in an alternate dimension. Then there are of course references in FE13 to characters or events from Tellius which makes it even more confusing. Anyways I just don't think Othin's timeline makes sense, almost 5000 years is too ridiculous to have anyone claim to be related to Ike. Plus I'm one of those people that doesn't think Manaketes evolving from Laguz makes sense.

Well this is kinda surprising, but not too much. I've never really been convinced by the supposed patterns people keep using to predict things. I mean people were practically 100% certain it would follow some specific pattern which really just seemed kinda stupid to me. Anyways, even though it doesn't seem logical for there to be another DLC set I'm going to say there will be. I just can't see them not making so many of the other lords DLC. Oh, and if it matters I support Lyn making sense as an assassin. Except for the Sol Kaati deal, that made me know it wasn't going to happen. And of course swordmaster > assassin but both would have made sense.

Really? I'm primarily a PC gamer and its far different here. Plenty of people buy the game digitally for the same price. In fact, I'm often willing to pay slightly more just to be able to download a game through steam as its far more convenient having all my games in one place. I mean look at one of the recent top PC games Diablo 3. I don't think there are actual numbers of the digital downloads but I know all my friends that bought the game got it digitally. Now the system Nintedo has set up is nowhere near as nice as most other download services. With most other services its easy to re-download any game you have purchased making that purchase more secure than an actual physical copy you could lose or break. I'm not sure how hard it is to transfer downloaded 3DS games but it does make the digital version less appealing. However having all your games in one place without having to carry around the cartridges is VERY convenient and is a good point in digital downloading's favor. Plus there is something to be said about the ease of simply downloading a game instead of trying to find a store that has it or waiting for it to be shipped to you. Anyways, I actually support digital downloads, even at the same price. Unlike everyone else who seems to hate them.

Are the manaketes really different colors? Does anyone have links to vids showing this? Also, does the stone they use affect how they look?

Then I don't see how being the holy king would make any more sense. As you said all those characters are already important plot characters but its too late for paris to fill that position. I don't know how being a random character mentioned in the plot a few times is going to make any more sense. But honestly, whoever Paris turns out to be isn't going to make a whole lot of sense.

I would expect for people not to think paris is some character only mentioned in a few lines. Why would they choose for paris to be some random character barely mentioned? Either he would be given more of a backstory, or else is someone else entirely. But I'm confused, how often is the first king mentioned? According to othin it seems like he is mentioned quite a bit. Is the bolded part in reference to his name in the credits? I'm confused by that line. Anyways, there's no reason the holy king needs to be explained. If i remember correctly the first king of Akaneia is pretty important character in FE3 but is never named, while plenty of other characters are. And clearly, there are things meant to be left unexplained in FE13, like the mention of laguz like creatures.

Yes but this connection comes out of nowhere. There's no reason that paris should be the holy king and even less that he is both Ike and the holy king. While this is all speculation, it seems to me that the assumption that Paris is Ike or the holy king has gone too far. There's really little reason he should be either.

As already described neither of then fit. The weapon being described is clearly similar to the falchion. Micaiah doesn't use a sword and even if the Sol Kaati somehow fits the description of the sword Lyn doesn't match the description of the events. As already explained in the other games dragon took human forms for two reasons. One being some unexplained event in Akaneia that caused them to begin to degenerate and the other being the Ending Winter in Elibe which caused dragons to lose much of their power forcing them to take human form. Both these histories are revealed by a surviving dragon and show the truth as compared to the human version of history meaning there is very little chance that they are incorrect.

I just can't see the world of Jugdral/Akeneia and Tellius being connected. The laguz just seem so different from manaketes I can't see them being related. In almost all the games they appear Manaketes are portrayed as incredibly powerful beings, almost gods. Even the king of the dragon laguz Dheginsea is nothing compared to how powerful Naga is portrayed as. This makes no sense whatsoever. The abilities of manaketes surpasses laguz, not the other way around. Also, you misunderstand why manaketes need stones to transform. In FE1/3 and FE6/7 manaketes are given a history of once being incredibly powerful dragons that lost some of their powers, forcing them to become manaketes. Manaketes do not need stones to transform because they evolved from laguz, alternate explanations are already provided. They were weakened and forced to take human form which takes less energy, but can store their powers in dragonstones.

Rename the game file back to the original name or rename the saves to match the current file name. The patched state of the rom shouldn't affect the saves.

Also, do we ever get any explanation on what Gimle is? Medeus was an earth dragon and became a shadow dragon through some sort of ritual and Idoun was a diving dragon who became corrupted to a demon dragon. Is gimle just another shadow dragon?

So what are the details on Mila? I never really got very far in FE2 and it didn't seem to have a whole lot of story anyways. Is there any chance she could just be Naga as she appeared on another continent? Or is she still sealed in the Falchion in FE2?

Did you change something? Now the warp circle appears at the very bottom of the altar most of the time for me. Using google chrome. I don't think I changed anything recently, but I might have.

I have the same birthday as liz, ugh :(. Can I just take being a week after tiki instead lol? Also its very interesting to see how few people actually share birthdays, so far its just two other people that have the exact same birthday.

The soldier class was right there. I'm sure if they wanted someone to use it they easily could have.
