Oh, that's what you were arguing? Sorry, then. XP I wouldn't mind the whole asset/flaw thing being back, too.Right, and I'm not saying that IS should get rid of reclassing. The problem for me comes in when reclassing becomes the main way of customizing Kamui as a unit. Then if I want to have a high defense Kamui I'd have to reclass them to Knight. Even if my Kamui has never had any previous training for heavy armor and no desire to wear 30 lbs. of metal. That's why I want more decisions about stat growths at the start of the game rather than having to reclass.
This is why I like the asset/flaw system from Awakening even though it was kind of weird to new players, and ended up meaning nothing mid to late game.

I'm not convinced Tiki's a kid... Her face seems to cry, "young adult" or "late teenager (teen-thousandager? XD)" to me, personally, although I cannot figure out how tall she is compared to the main characters, who appear to be in their late teens. (I'd personally be happy with older Tiki, though. :P *bricked*) There's no doubt her outfit is SD-esque, of course. I guess we'll find out her age eventually. *shrug*The negative reactions to the trailer were jarring, since my reaction post apology was "okay HYPE", but since I've been given more context on it, it's understandable.Now, since this is a general discussion thread, how about that FE11/12 Tiki? I'm pretty glad it's not FE13 Tiki, anyway.
BTW, I like the song in the trailer. :3

How does the avatar's species determine whether customization of eye color is possible? o.o; Besides, manaketes before Kamui haven't always been red-eyed, as evidenced by Fae, Tiki (both green-eyed), Nowi, Nah (both purple-eyed), and potentially Morgan (brown eyes).I doubt the eye color change since the avatar is not human.
Edit: @Honey Bunny: You may not use Second Seals, and I respect that decision. However, there may be people want to class change Kamui (or whomever they've made the avatar to be; avatars are customizable, after all). For example, someone may want to reclass into a wyvern rider because they find wyverns awesome, or a myrmidon because they are agile swordsmen with awesome tricks. If reclassing stays, people who don't want to reclass still won't have to, but those who do can; you can choose whatever option you want to do. Ditching reclassing will not change anything for those who don't want to reclass, but those who do will be forced to deal with it. It's more restrictive and less optional.

You don't really have to use second seals so much (if at all) if you want. ^_^; No rule saying you can't put limits on yourself.Ehh, I'm not a big fan of second sealing. I'd rather just be given more control over stat growths and weapon choice. Though the promotional art showing Kamui with a sword all the time dashes any hope I had of that last one.
If they do second sealing again I hope that they let you choose a class set instead of just letting you go nuts.
Anyway, what customization options do you think will be available? Perhaps the ability to change eye colors? I mean, in FE12, we got choices of different hair, hair color and faces, and then FE13 added body types, so I'm guessing the new option trend continues into eye color.

I am probably in the minority here, and I have little to no knowledge of SMT or Persona... But what the heck.
I really like how this game looks!
Being an anime fan, I really like the anime style and music played in the trailer. The only FE character I recognized was Tiki (Yay! :D Also, to me, she looks like a young adult with Shadow Dragon-inspired clothing, so I'm not sure she's a little girl again like everyone says), and I think the main characters are original, but the fact that there's amazing graphics as well as so much more to be revealed has me very interested.
I know the game is a base-breaker... ^_^; But I'm interested, and I'm looking forward to seeing what will come up.
(BTW, no, the fanservice did not entice me. >3>)

I'm thinking that at least one of Kamui's parents should be missing if they don't decide to use hair recoloring for at least one parent, whoever they are, due to Kamui's avatar status. It'd be like how Robin's mother was just mentioned and never showed up.
Also, did anyone notice that the last two avatar protagonists have names from characters in FE Gaiden? :P

Well, if the main character wasn't customizable beyond gender, there's no reason to call him an avatar, really. Besides, NoA's Twitter account said during the direct that the protagonist is "your created character".

Hi! I'm DarkGold777, but I assume you can call me Darky for short.
I had recently (as of December) became a FE fan. I got Awakening via SSB4, but I actually first heard of FE a long time ago; heck, it WASN'T because of Melee. I saw FE7 (Blazing Sword) lying around a cottage on vacation, and played it a bit (there was a file that had a lot of progress on it, but I had no idea what to do, so I kept game overing, and then I started a new file, but I got myself stuck on the Dorcas chapter because I thought I had to do something other than protect before the turns were up, so I quit in advance. ...I WAS A KID. *bricked*), but I left it at the cottage.
After that, I got SSBM, and I eventually unlocked Marth and Roy. When I found that they were FE characters, I thought, "Huh, these guys are from that game I played? Don't recognize 'em. o.o", but I didn't really look into it that much and believed that the two existed in the same universe until some time later (forget when, maybe when Ike and Brawl came out?).
Eventually, SSB4 came out, and I got curious about Robin. I eventually found out that his/her gender was not the only thing customizable about him in Awakening, so, being the sucker for customization that I am (although I usually don't recreate myself in games, FE ones to be included) I got it, and I got interested in the gameplay (thank you, Casual mode) and characters. The ones that stood out to me were Robin himself (yes, I have a file with Robin's default male appearance), Owain, and some more, but I REALLY liked the manaketes, them being pointy-eared, non-human humanoids who turn into dragons (even if Nowi's outfit is too revealing to me, and Tiki's breasts were too big for my taste). :)
I then got curious about other FE games, so I started watching playthroughs of Sacred Stones (I like Myrrh :D), Blazing Sword (I went for that before FE6 because prequels before sequels :P, also Florina is cute), Binding Blade (why is Fae so adorable ahhhh), Path of Radiance (awesome music :D), Radiant Dawn (I liked Micicah although I cannot spell her name lol sorry), Shadow Dragon (which was a little boring, but young Tiki! :D Also hai Marth), New Mystery of the Emblem (nothing to really say here), and Genealogy (Seliph is pretty cool looking :P). I've yet to see Thracia 776, and I'm 3/4 into watching a Gaiden playthrough, but I've seen a lot of what FE has offered, as well as the potential of what it will offer (FE:if, SMTxFE).
I'm also a fan of other franchises, such as Pokemon (sorta straying from it because of FE) and Mario (but not as much). I'm also quite the anime fan, having watched some Pokemon and regularly watching Toonami on Adult Swim (no, I do not watch for sexy stuff, I actually watch for characters and plot :P). I am also a sports fan, loving the NFL's Steelers (yes, I know what has gone on in that thread), the MLB's Pirates (before they were cool, might I add :D), and the NHL's Penguins. I usually don't act biased like other hardcore sports fans, though, so don't expect me to trash the Ravens, a team that I find a respectable rival (and cool colors, too!). :)

I think Anna will return, but in the Nohr path (which lacks a world map), she will be in secret shops like in the older games, while the Hoshido path (which has a map) has her selling rarer and discounted items at map locations as she did in Awakening. Dunno if she'll become playable again, though.
