  1. Omg. I totally see the connection now. I thought the DS game art was beautiful, but lacking emotion. But his artwork he's done for Heroes has a lot of emotion in it. Maybe he's improved? Or the budget allowed for more expressions? Probably the latter. 8 is the number that's always late.
  2. Since when did this become a Heroes topic? Regardless, I still want Micky and studly Zelgius (whoever did his art- I kind of want them to be the Switch artist) 14
  3. Yeah. A lot of the "leaks" you mentioned were no-brainers/educated guesses, so I'm expecting a lot of the small things to be true of mostly true. The concept and characters I'm more interested in- I wonder how truthful it is. Because it's either all right (with the possible exception of one or two characters being replaced) or all wrong.
  4. Well I'm excited for The World Ends With You Remastered! Do you know what I'm not excited for? FE, because tHeRe WaSn'T aNy AnNoUnCeMeNt FoR iT. But the full direct is coming soon and I'm curious as to how truthful Miss Leaker was.
  5. If you're good looking/cute/youthful looking, get a sugar daddy/mama to pay it for you. BAM. Easy. If you're not good looking, then what SKILLS do have? Having a certain degree can help you find a job. If you have a business degree, you'll have a lot of opportunities to find a job, since business covers a wide range of occupations. If you don't have a degree, can't sell your looks to a sugar parent, and you don't have some sort super talent you can exploit (like an athletic champion or something), then the loft idea strays farther away, at least what I think a loft looks like.
  6. Isn't Lime supposed to be sour? Every lime I had was more sour than every green apple I've had. Their product names aren't adding up for me? And that's what grinds my gears. People, label ya candy better.
  7. L'arachel, Princess of Rausten, Breaker of Chains, The Unburnt, Lady of the Heavens, Gambling Hall CEO, and Maiden of Desire. Oh, and I also like Lalum, strangely enough.
  8. Wait, if there's another direct in a week, which would be 1 year since last year's. Yeah it makes sense for them to show it off then and build up more hype in the meantime. I just wanted a little concept teaser (no characters or anything)
  9. I've seen some gameplay/story of Lacrimosa of Dana. It seems very unusual for JRPG standards. Is the concept very different for a typical Ys game?
  10. I don't think you'll have to worry about this pairing. By the time you get Claud, Ayra probably has a high number of love points for someone else, so even if you put them next to each other, the odds of them accidentally falling in love are slim, because units still gain love points even when they're not adjacent to each other. Each turn, love points are given. 5 if adjacent, 1-3 points for non-adjacent. However, given Ayra's conversations, Lex or Holyn/Chulainn will probably fall in love with Ayra faster than putting Ayra or Claud. The only way Claud can beat them out is if you finished the first 3 chapters relatively fast and kept those two together for the rest of the generation. Even so, I would rate Ayra's kids as relatively low priority/low stress, since they're great. Claud as a father is bad, but thank goodness for magic swords. The only pair of kids that are less stressful are Sylvia's. So basically, Ayra and Sylvia can be paired with almost everyone, since their kids can function no matter what and will be at least, decent. But do note there's better fathers to make their kids outstanding (well, Ayra's kids will be outstanding, Sylvia's kids are another story, but let's just say they'll get their jobs done no matter what. It's just a matter of what other roles you want them to take on)
  11. Conspiracy theory: the social media managers of these companies have formed a shitposting club. BOOM.
  12. Man who runs Nintendo's Twitter? They need to calm down with this stuff.
  13. Seems cool. Can't wait to see some gameplay.
  14. Although I found Lyon's change in Eph's route abrupt- it makes sense. It shows a side of jealousy he felt towards Eph growing up. With Eir's route, they've had a healthy relationship, so him betraying her just feels really wrong (both literally and from a characterization standpoint). With Eph, the relationship seems more personal; although he seems closer to Eirika, there's more of motive with Ephraim's presence.
  15. Oh yeah. Zombies could be their own genre at this point. Zelda had a couple of games that featured pirates/maritime adventuring. Black Flag looked bomb. Everyone loves pirates I can't deny that.
  16. There was this one medieval fantasy game with a hot girl on the cover for Gameboy Color. Little did I know we would play as some random amnesiac dude and kill bugs in some basement first thing, no hot chick in sight. I felt robbed.
  17. If Pirate Emblem is a thing, it's just gonna go in my binder of games of stifled popular games? What do you do in a creative slouch? PIRATES! See Zelda and Assassin's Creed for reference. Y'all it would be Ch.2 SoV for almost the whole game.
  18. Not a bad list. However, it's best if you specify the difficulty and route this is taking place on, because it usually affects how a character stacks up (stats and availability). As for your rankings of characters, it's not bad, but usually people do it like Top>High>Mid>Low>Bottom. As for the characters themselves: Myrhh is way too high, IMO. She's available for a short time and can only really be used 50 times. Her stats and niche as a unit are great, but her limitations weigh her down too much. Although I vastly prefer Tana over Vanessa, Vanessa is generally ranked higher because she comes earlier, and is really helpful in reaching villages and civilians before danger comes. I would put Franz a lot higher. I know he's already in a high position, but Franz can be higher. He's that good. I would put Garcia and Neimi higher. He comes early and with an ax, only one of 2 axe users you get early on. While Neimi is the same, but with bows. I would put Amelia and Ewan down, right next to Marisa. They come too late with a lot of babying. At least Ross comes within the first few chapters.
  19. It's hard to say, since the mechanics of Genealogy differ greatly from the other 2 games, especially considering the skill system. It grinded to hell and back, the 3DS kids can proc some sort of skill every chance they get. Plus, they already have Pursuit and Critical by nature. If we're not including subs (who would get molly whopped), the holy kids will definitely put up a good fight. It's basically a battle of OP weapons vs. higher stat caps. However, the holy weapons can raise some stats to be higher than the 3DS kids' stats, so they have that going for them. A lot of the Genealogy kids will fall in battle, because the majority of those that don't have a holy weapons will just get overpowered. Fates kids also have a (kind of a meh) forge system, so a well made forged item can make them stronger than an Awakening child. Also, 3DS kids have more class change options, so there's more pairings that work for them as opposed to the Genealogy kids. Ayra and Sylvia's kids work with anyone really, but Tiltyu's kids only work well with 4 fathers. Also, Fates kids have Dragon Veins, which means they can plant traps or make battle conditions more in their favor. Genealogy kids include Lene, and she's the only refresher child unit in the series, and she can refresh 4 units per turn, which means that the Genealogy kids can hit hard more than once per turn. If there's a personality battle, Awakening have the advantage. They've seen some shit, and you can see how this affected their personalities as well. Fates kids do have some personality, although a few of them suffer from being one-note and worse, just a copy of another character. I think there's one copycat that was done better than the original (Rhajat) but that's just me. A lot of Genealogy kids barely have a personality, so they lose easily. Only a select few were characterized well (Seliph, Leaf, Altenna, Julia, Shanan, Ares, Lene, Patty, Tine), but just a few. Even so, their lack of lines due to tech restraints at the time can't compare to the really fleshed out personalities of some great 3DS kids, like Lucina, Shiro, Siegbert, Forrest, etc. The nullifying magic thing would be a blow (in the small chance that it's the effect of the dragon vein), because Holsety and Narga get cancelled out. However, there's still the Tyrfing, Mysteltainn, Balmung, Gae Bolg, and Ichival. If Lene is still around you can get another round of these things twice in one turn. Even so, a couple of the magic kids have access to swords, so only 4 out of the 20 something kids are null. And if they take terraform damage instead, the kids also have a Reserve staff to heal everyone up and a Valkyrie staff to resurrect someone. The dragon veins will inconvenience them, but it won't get them obliterated. Awakening kids will be the weakest, because they don't have some of the advantages that the other two groups haves. They're the smallest bunch, no Dragon Veins, and only 1 legendary weapon. It's not looking great for them.
  20. I don't have any. I would like to have 1 for the sake of having 1 though. Although I'm gonna have to have been a big fan for a long time
  21. Not me! We should probably let one of the Vincents do it. Don't forget the picture mode! Reference: that one game where the protagonists runs around taking panty shots
